View 6 RepliesI use Bluetooth to listen to music on my mobile......lately i have seen a issue while using google maps and music together....the audio sound of music sometimes goes completely low when both are being used, even if the maps has no audio output.......But sometimes the music output is loud as it supposed to be and only when there is audio output from maps the music shuts off and but goes back to high volume as expected....
View 6 RepliesI have 2015 Camry LE trim. Whenever I start my car and connect Bluetooth, music starts playing automatically. Bad thing is it keeps on playing when I am navigating using Google or Apple map. It will reduce volume momentarily while a navigation instruction is being played and start off again. I can't turn it off completely while navigating. If I hit pause it will stop until the next navigation instruction is played. After an instruction is played music starts again. I just can't turn the damn music off! It's not just the Apple Music app, I have another streaming music app. If I'm listening to that app before entering the car, it somehow starts playing music from that app.
View 10 RepliesI recently purchased a 2015 Camry XSE on November 23rd. I have the Entune Audio Plus system in my vehicle. The first thing I noticed while driving home is the music I was playing through Bluetooth was changing pitch constantly. The closest thing I can relate it to is a cassette tape being slowed down with dead batteries. It's brutal. My mom bought a 2015 Rav4 on the same day as me. For the past month I've been doing nothing but trial and error. Here is what I have come up with.
My radio while playing bluetooth skips, speeds up and down (pitch change) and gets really bad static. Also, when I use the steering wheel controls to change the song it changes the song INSTANTLY. In my mom's Rav4 and my friends 2015 Corrolla, it plays for about 1.5 seconds before changing to the next song. This is the buffer being played out. Mine doesn't create a buffer and is playing the data stream in real time. If any interference happens or the clock rates change it gets reflected in the pitch.
Now, I called Toyota and explained it to them. They had me read what audio version I had in my car. It says "0744". It listed two items, Audio and Operating System. The rep on the phone was taken back and said NOTHING was installed on that radio. What is supposed to be listed is bluetooth drivers, kernel and a couple other things. My audio version should say DU.60.74. She told me to take it to my dealer and they will update it through USB and it only takes a couple minutes.
I have a 2014.5 Camry SE with Entune Audio headunit without navigation or apps. I have an iPhone 5c that used to be able to display mp3 playlists on Bluetooth until I upgraded to ios 9.x. But essentially same headunit on wife's 2016 Prius 2 allows me to access mp3 playlists via Bluetooth. Is there a firmware update that will let my head unit do the same?
View 2 RepliesIf the Iphone 5 will connect to the Entune Apps wirelessly over Bluetooth? I know it just came out, but would like to know before I preorder the phone. I'm using an Android HTC Incredible now, and after Toyota's last update, the entune apps have worked great over Bluetooth. Might go with the Galaxy S3 if the iphone still has to be tethered with a USB cable.
View 14 RepliesToyota/Lexus have quite thin metal, so doors have vibration when you are listening music and they are very light... so I don't like it. I decided to make extra sound insulation and get rid of vibration of metal on doors.
Materials used for extra sound insulation:
1. Vibrodamping mats - 4sqm. 390 х 250mm sheet
2. Sound absorber material. 2x 1000x600mm 15mm thickness/ 2x 1000x600mm 35mm thickness
I recently purchased a 2014 Wolfsburg and love it!!! My question comes in when listening to music on my Bluetooth after a time I get a loud beep from the radio??? How do I fix it why is it happening...
View 2 RepliesWhen I pair my smartphone to my GS350, and am listening to the radio (or music off the USB key), I can receive calls (automatically) when somebody calls me. In other words, when listening to radio, if somebody calls my phone, the call interrupts my music and I can respond to the call over the car's speakers/microphone - as expected. Great!
But when I use my phone for navigation (google maps), the spoken directions do not get passed to the car's speakers. What's worse, is that because the phone is trying to send directions over the BT connection, it disables the phone's speakers as well - so the spoken directions are not audible at all.
If I switch my car's media to the BT music (instead of radio/aux/USB), the nav directions come thru' fine. But that means that I am no longer listening to radio/USB in between the spoken directions.
This happens with my Android Nexus 6, and with my friend's iPhone 6.
3IS owner. My mirror vibrates when I'm listening to bassy music and it's driving me crazy. My first gen IS's mirror didn't vibrate at all so I'm pretty unhappy being a 44k car's mirror vibrates. I took it to the dealership and they just tightened the bolt but it didn't do anything. Then they justified it saying that all the IS's in the lot did this. After the checkup the mirror got worse and vibrates on rough pavement now. I was just wondering if your guys' mirrors vibrate when listening to music?
View 1 RepliesMy iPhone 6 with iOS 8.0.2 was not able to play music via Bluetooth in my 2014 Camry. After installing iOS 8.1 today, I can play music and make calls via Bluetooth. This issue was also present in my wife's 2013 Accord.
View 4 RepliesI have a 2014.5 Camry SE but I'm having a few issues that I'd like to address.
My issue is, when I hook up the phone to the car's bluetooth, the car does not let me switch songs or pause/play from the car's audio system, the only thing I can do from the steering wheel or audio interface is fast forward or rewind the song but not skip the track or pause.
My second issue so far is that I can't seem to find how to set the car to turn on the map lights when the doors open. I checked the manual and it tells me that there's a switch to flip, like the dome lights in the back, right next to the map lights but there is no switch and therefore no visible way to change this. I've gone through the settings of the vehicle and I've gone to the light settings but there is nothing in the settings about it.
I have a 2012 Camry LE and I always use bluetooth connectivity between my iPhone 6S and the car. I use an online radio app called "Tambura" (similar to pandora but something which caters to Indian Hindi songs). Now I also use my phone as a GPS navigation device on need basis. The problem I am facing is that, whenever I am listening to music using the radio app in my camry's speakers with volume on around 15-20, whenever the Google maps voice says something like "take next exit" or whatever, it is almost inaudible. I expect the sound to be on same level as my music but that does not happen.
View 3 RepliesI just picked up a 2013 Camry SE with the display audio system today and I am tickled with the car so far. I paired my Iphone 5S to the car over bluetooth and the car uses the phone fine - better than fine, it's great - and the music plays, so far so good. Except I can't browse the music selections through the dashboard monitor when paired on bluetooth - those buttons are greyed out. If I use the USB cable, then I can control the music selection with the dashboard. Is this how the system is supposed to work? I have installed Entune on my phone and created an account. I have IOS6 on my phone.
View 14 RepliesI just got a 2015 Camry SE and I believe it did not come with Enture. Is it possible to install it on the current head unit or would i have to update the head unit ? also what would happen if i tried.
View 2 RepliesWill be picking up my Camry XLE in a couple days. Told the Dealers not to install the front plate holder and plates.
So, I was wondering has anyone installed a bracket somewhere on/in the front without drilling into the bumper?
I prefer it like that, at least I can put on or take off without having marks or what so ever on the car.
Who has installed the OEM Qi charger into their 2015 XLE yet? My phone has it, so I am looking to do this when I can find the parts.
View 14 RepliesI just bought a new 2015 and I've been thinking about blacking out the emblems.
Out of the photos below, which include stock and my "edited" ones, what looks best? I also considered possibly replacing the front grille with a custom one instead of blacking out.
Camry Vibrating and Hesitating. A couple people told me it was probably the tires and that only expertly balanced michelins will fix this. I would like to do it myself.
View 1 RepliesThe Sonata offers a lot of bang for the buck and a great interior. How woukd you compare the Sonata with the Camry?
View 14 RepliesI bought a 2015 camry xse v6 and it is awesome. There is a clicking/popping noise (mostly popping) coming from the dashboard or the area of middle of the dashboard were the radio and ac controls are. I took it to the dealership but they couldn't figure out the problem, one of the workers told me it might be that the plastic needs to loosen up and to keep on driving it. It does it more often when it is hot outside and it is really annoying.
