Looking for the dome light lens cover for the front passenger side. the one you push in...
Mine has some extremely sticky substance on it and i tried goof off soap and wirebrush but it won't go away.
I have a brand new Camry SE 2014.5 and since day one, when ever I park the car and come back after a short while or when ever I start the car and keep it on for a while, it looses water under the front passenger side. Initially I thought it is the air condition but now I am afraid that there is something wrong with the coolant system. BTW: The temperature of the engine is always in the normal zone. The car is about 2 month and 1500 miles old. What it could be?

View 6 RepliesMy 2015 camry front dome light switch is broken. This is the push type light. I am not sure how but today i was trying to turn the light on and noticed it wasn't turning on. When i opened the lens cover to switch the bulb i noticed the button was missing and the other side has a button. I don't understand why the light will not turn on when i open the door either. I tried sticking some thing small in to the broken part where the button used to be and it turns on if i do that, but i would have to hold it in place which is pretty inconvenient. What can i do to fix this? it seems like i have to replace the whole overhead assembly. Is there a cheap fix? i would be happy if the light comes on when i at least open the door.

The lens is part of the switch for the map light.
We just got a new 2014.5 LE, but I noticed that front passenger seat in it doesn't recline flat when reclined backwards. We also have 2012 Camry hybrid, and the difference in seat reclining between them is 3/4". 2012 passenger seat reaches back seat when fully reclined, and 2014.5 does not, it has quite a large gap. Is my 2014.5 seat defective and needs to be fixed, or are all of them are made like this now? We had two 2006 Camrys before, and in both of them front passenger seats reclined fully, touching the back seat...
View 8 RepliesI'm going to take my 2012 Camry SE in for service sometime in November and experienced a high-pitched whine (very low volume) in the front end of their car. This sound seems to be coming from the front passenger side of the car and has surfaced only within the last month or so, between 70-75 MPH. Above and below that speed range I hear nothing. This car has low mileage; after almost two years, it has only about 12,500 miles on it.
I'm wondering whether it's a trans-axle whine, but it is of such low volume I don't think it would be easy for a tech to diagnose. Also, other than the D1T recall, are there any other TSBs that I should be aware of, and any recent Entune updates that need to be applied? And, whether Toyota has a remedy for D1T yet?
I have a problem with my 2014 camry. Yesterday out of nowhere, my dome lights wouldnt shut off.. I checked all the doors, made sure they are all shut.. but no luck.

View 2 RepliesHaving problems with a squeaking or ticking noise coming from the front windshield area on the passenger side? I took off the A-pillar and tweeter speaker cover, and the noise was still there. Pressing on the A-pillar did not work and it's not any of the cords or plastics in there rubbing. It almost sounds like it's behind the A-pillar. Pressing on the dash, windshield, headliner, etc. all have no effect on the noise.
I'm trying really hard to fix this myself because I'm worried about a tech tearing apart the dash trying to fix it. It might end up worse than it is now. I'm thinking this TSB will need to be done (which seems to apply to all Toyotas): [URL] ....
Next on my list to check is the passenger side mirror (make sure it's fastened securely) and also the black liner under the windshield wipers. I also have foam (like the kind you use when installing a window AC) which I may also try stuffing into the bottom of the front windshield (and maybe the top) to see if that works.
If all else fails, the car is going to the dealer I guess. The Camry is such a quiet car that the noise is really irritating in an otherwise quiet interior. Other than this noise, the car is great! Just a little bummed because my 2005 has zero rattles or noises and my gf's old 2009 also had no rattles or noises. The 2015 refresh is nice, though we're still on the fence about the front grille. My relative is waiting for the 2016's to be released later this year and then he will be buying one for his patrol car. The 2015 isn't a full redesign but it looks different enough that he wants to wait for the next MY to come out. He's dreading leaving behind his 5MT Civic but it needs to be replaced. He hasn't had an auto, ever, come to think of it..

using a can of compressed air to clean the dust in the vents and the straw came loose and now its stuck inside the vent and whenever I make a turn I can hear the straw rolling around.
How do I actually remove the passenger side air vent cover? (nearest to the door) I tried to pry on it with a screwdriver but it doesn't seem like it wants to move. I actually asked the local dealer and they said I would have to remove the whole dash to access inside the vent. Do I really need to remove the whole dash or should I try to apply more pressure?
I own 2016 Camry special edition, and while driving i hear something knocking sound like ping pong ball sound coming from passenger side front tire, feels like shock is not working properly, in warm weather (over 60F)it drives better no sound or anything, what can it be? Is it because of 18" tires?
View 2 RepliesI have a 2012 SE v6 with 1600 miles on it. About a week ago, I noticed my bumper cover pulled away from the corner of the headlight and there was a noticeable gap. I pushed on it, and heard a click. The bumper stayed in place. After a couple days driving, it came loose again. I didnt touch it so the Service Writer would see it first hand. Of course, his first instinct was to puch on it, but I got loud quickly, so he kept his hands to himself, and heard me out. I knew if he clicked it back into place I would be SOL. He admitted something needed to be done, not just click it back.
When I picked it up, he said it was a known issue, and there is a TSB on it. He claimed they replaced a bracket. The invoice reads, "ADDED FELT TO TIGHTEN FIT". Yeah, Im sure that will hold just long enough for them to wash their hands of it.
Having front speaker cover rattle in new Camry? I have a 2012 SE 4 Cylinder. The rattle was driving me nuts for a while and I've located it in a loose left front speaker cover.
Not sure if I want to take it to the dealer or fix it myself. Thinking of maybe just jamming something that's small in there to tighten it or taking it off and having a look...
I am having difficulty removing the dome light cover over the rear seat to replace the bulb. I can get a flat blade or narrow putty knife between the plastic cover and the roof liner material -- but it won't "pop" out.
View 3 Replies2002 Camry 4 cyl was leaking a small bit of oil on the rear passenger side of the valve cover - about directly behind where the timing chain is. I replaced the valve cover today, but noticed that there is still a small amount of oil leaking at the same spot. Is this a common problem with the '02 Camry? Or perhaps I have a valve cover problem?
View 2 RepliesI recently had to change the dome light in our 2012 Toyota Camry so I took some pictures and wrote a simple how to guide. The interior light assembly should be the same for 2007-2012. I definitely recommend changing to an LED light while you are at it, they last longer and are brighter. The OEM bulb number is DE3175 but I hear a lot of people like the PUTCO 231125 LED replacement bulb.

I cannot figure out the interior lights by using the dimmer switch. Starting the vehicle and then trying to turn on either passenger or driver front dome light will not work. I continuously depress the right side of the dimmer switch it will turn on the REAR dome light and by depressing again it will shut off the REAR dome light. I can push either light in the front and it will not turn on. Once driving down the road and reaching a decent speed (40+) I can push the buttons and it will turn on and off by simply pushing the light. The buttons you use to turn on either light up front actually feels different---it easily "clicks" the light on.

View 1 Replies2012 camry se v6 ...have a dome light flicker at stop..idle..in gear...and most noticeable at night. Dealership checked alternator. all ok according to their device. I made them show me. They changed the battery saying it was bad which changed the flicker a bit but didnt remove it. (could also be crazy and just wanted it to fix it) Overall just annoying but dont think it should be doing it. The dealership said this was normal for this car with the JBL audio. The car is completely stock, no modifications. Dont trust their response. Car is just out of warranty and just purchased.
