I've been able to do a few mods to my car! My passenger side window is able to slide down, but not able to slide upward at all. Now it's sitting about 2/3 of the way down without any hint of upward movement.
It is a 2013 SE.
2001 XLT V10.. rear passenger window would not go down so I replaced the window motor, all went well.
With the switch and window went down nicely, would not return upwards. Changed switches with the other door, no change. Went to driver door and used the master there, nothing.
Pulled the motor back out, goes only one direction. Tested the old motor, same thing just opposite direction...old motor would not bring window down, new motor will not bring window up. ok..
Now, with them out, I plugged them into the socket again and used the driver door control for the right rear passenger window...nothing at all. At the passenger door itself we have the actuator going in one direction...at the drivers door trying to make the passenger rear actuator work..nada, zip, dead.
Took the motor and plugged it into another door and both motors are working perfectly.. So..can the driver door switch be bad and upsetting the system? I truly hate electrical...this confirms my distaste..
I have a 2013 accent and have been having and odd issue. Started a few months ago with the driver controls only being able to lower the front passenger window but not raise it. The passenger side control worked fine. Now months later the passenger control has also stopped working. If I move the switch around I can get it to move a little bit, but I really have to sit there and move it a certain way. What could be casuing this??
View 6 RepliesI drove and opened the windows. I came to a stop and tried to close the windows but passenger window wont go up. the lights radio speedometer and everything work but windows still wont go up. i tried the switch on the passenger door also. no luck.
I accidentally pressed the window lock.
Planning to take the 14.5 Camry in later next week. I've noticed the passenger window goes up/down considerably slower than the other 3. I know it's not specific to the passenger window, but have you guys experienced any given window quite slower than the rest? I don't think it's wear and tear since I have no passengers 85% of the time. Wonder if warranty still covers it within 2 years..
View 1 RepliesI recently purchased a certified 2013 Camry SE and just found the headliner bent above the rear window. I'm not sure if my 4 year old decided to take a look up in the headliner and bent it or if I missed it during initial inspection. It looks like it was pulled down with one finger and its kind of folded. Its at about the 1/3 point going across the upper rear window. It is a very small bend, only an inch or so deep. Any way to repair a bent headliner? Or have a link on how to repair it? I was thinking of using hot glue and a metal rod or plate but am concerned it may bleed through. Its very annoying to see it every day when looking in the rear view mirror.
View 1 RepliesMy rear defroster on my sliding glass window doesn't work all the time. I make sure the window is completely closed. It sometimes comes on and other times it doesn't. Sometimes it comes on and immediately shuts off. The dealership says I will need a new window. The truck is 7 months out of warranty. I think a $52,000 truck should have a rear defroster that works a heck of a lot longer than 43 months, especially when it has only been used 3 times since I bought it. Is this a problem that any of you have experienced with you F-150's ? I love my truck and will live with the rear defroster not working before I replace it. I just feel that Ford should have better quality than that.
View 14 RepliesI was driving down I-35 when all of a sudden I heard a loud boom sound and realized my rear driver passenger side window shattered and I was smelling a burning smell. I drove the vehicle directly to Don Ringler Service Station but they showed no concern or interest in looking into the issue and was told I would need to repair the vehicle at my own expense and never bothered to look into the burning smell issue.

I'm kinda worried about this while I'm offshore because I have a power sliding window and I don't want it to ruin anything that moves the window. View 1 RepliesI have a 2010 F150 Lariat Super Crew. The rear sliding window does not completely close. I have read a few posts about lubricating the cable and tapping the window motor. I have leather seats with the rear arm rest, but cannot locate the window motor. I have lubricated the cable, on both sides while someone opened and closed the window.

I just started to have a problem with the passenger side window on my 2004 Solara coupe. When closing the window it has started going up too far and then the door will not close. It gets very little use so it seems like worn parts may be unlikely.
If I lower the window slightly I can see that the window appears to be adjusted properly front to back based on how it fits in the weather striping, it just started going up too high. When lowered slightly the door and window work fine.
Truck is a 2011. What about fixing?

View 2 RepliesI have a 99 Camry le 4door car. I recently bought a new motor and regulator. Reason being is the old one quit working one day. It rolled up just a little at a time then stopped before it closed completely. So I plugged the new assembly in to the harness and nothing. All other windows have power coming from the driver side cluster, door locks work fine as well. Passenger front window will do nothing from either switch.

I noticed after the car has been sitting for awhile, that it's quiet but when I decide to open the window and then close it it starts to rattle. Now this happens when driving over bumps or have the music turned up.
View 3 RepliesThe passenger window is making a grinding sound when going down. Sound starts after the window is about 50% down. There is no sound when the window goes up. From what I have been reading, it could be a motor going bad. There is no damage to the glass.
Does this sound like the motor will fail? I have a 100K extended warranty on the car which is soon going to run out. The warranty states that it covers the part but only in failure. Does this count as failure? Seems to be a bit of a gray area since the part is failing but the it is still funtional...
Will be taking the car to Toyota but wanted to get hear some thoughts before I did that.
