My car came stock with the LED strip on the grill and was wondering if there's a way to keep the lights from dimming when the headlights are on?
Noticed that with the stock ones but they get dimmer when you're headlights are on. I want to keep a constant brightness.
Just installed my new fogs in my 2012 LE and the install went GREAT! The switch has an LED in it to illuminate it AND one that comes on when you turn fogs on. What circuit I could tap into to dim that led? In lieu of that can you just put a resistor in the circuit to permanently dim it? I have the factory Wire diagram, so I will look for a light that is dimmed with the dash lights.
View 4 RepliesI have swapped out my 2008 Headlights for 2012 LED ones. However, the LED strip is not coming on. I followed the below thread and grounded that green wire as shown, and ran the red wire to the ig2 fuse box on the drivers side and nothing. i also tested it from the battery and nothing as well.
View 14 RepliesI recently have been running into some problems with my 03 jetta 2.0. Last night as I was driving home my radio start to turn off followed by ABS, airbag and battery lights coming on and then lights on the dashboard were dimming followed by headlights going out for a few secs then returning on but dim. I stopped in my drive way to open door and when I tried to press the accelerator, my car completely died.
Over the past 2 weeks or so I have had to change the fuel pump and the alternator because i thought that was the problem. I noticed when i first had problems the fuel pump wasn't charging so i changed that. then days later my car started to completely die when I tried to start it(not turning over, no lights no nothing). i tried a new battery it would still die. So I installed a new alternator. My car worked fine for about a week-week and a half before last night.
For 8 or 9 months now the dash lights and headlights on my 2001Chevy Tracker are dimming (more like flickering but they don't go completely out). It is not the alternator - it has been checked. For a period of 4 orso months in between the beginning of this and now - the dimming stopped and now it's back. The only thing I can correlate to the dimming stopping was I had to have my car jumped because I left the headlights on and the dimming seemed to stop for the long period of time.

Also there is a lip cover on the bottom of my bumper. I was wondering how to install HID fog lights successfully?
View 4 RepliesMy wife owns a 2013 Camry XLE Hybrid. The map lights do not come on when the remote is activated or either front door is opened or closed. the owners manual says it is an option that can be programmed at the dealership. when I took her car in for its first 5,000 mile check up the service advisor said both he and the technician tried to do it and looked it up to see where it would show them how but they were not successful. Is this something the dealer can program in?
View 11 RepliesHaving issue with the sonata 2006 as regards to headlight dimming for a second or two then returning to full power. Also at the same time all the internal light dim down then return and the heater slow right down and then returns to full power. Its dangerous when traveling at night.
View 7 RepliesI have the same problem that many azera and sonata owners have where my headlights dim when i slow down or apply brakes etc on my 06 azera. I have found the alternator to battery positive issue and fixed that with another piece of 4awg wire added (now has 0 volt drop). That didn't fix the issue.
Then i seen a suggestion of checking/sanding all grounds. Did that to battery to chassis, chassis to trans, engine to chassis, pcm/misc grounds (bunch of 5), and 2 more by windshield washer reservoir. This didn't fix the problem either
I've had my alternator checked and my battery as well. My only questionable idea as of now is my battery. Its the right size and checks out fine but only rated at like 450cca, etc vs 700+ and I assume more reserve at advance auto parts? Not sure if the battery is oem or not it is some bs "powervolt" brand.
Just picked up a 2013 LX with low miles and wish to do some things to protect it from stone chips, etc. that are common on our roads. Yes, actually some dirt roads too. What are the best products to use on the headlights and fog lights to get some protection?
View 1 RepliesI've got a 2013 Corolla S with an upgraded sound system. Well when the vehicle is running and its in park or stopped and I turn the wheel, the headlights dim. My headlights also dim if I roll up more than one window at a time. I've been slowly trying to narrow down the issue but with no such luck. I have a 1600 watt amplifier and two, 800 peak watt subwoofers.
View 4 RepliesSo I have noticed that my Batteries have been low each time my truck sits. Also my headlights have been dimming/brightening with acceleration. So I thought my Batteries were going bad. So I did some tests, I let my truck sit over night and tested the Batteries before starting they both were around 11 volts. @ idle no load 12.3, with load 11.7. @ 1500 RPM 14volts. With this I went to autozone and had the Batteries tested and the guy said that they are good but need to be charged and that the alternator was not charging right causing the low Batteries. The Batteries are about 3 years old. So now Im not sure what to do.

View 14 RepliesI recently bought some lamin-x tint for my headlights and fogs. I have only seen a few ppl on here tint their lights, but it was only the the tailights i have seen done on here. So I have an optic blue for the headlights and med gunsmoke for the fogs. Just came in yesterday so I will try to get them on within a week. I will post some pics to show how it looks.

Last week I noticed my interior mirror was not dimming. It was turned on, the light on mirror was illuminated. So were the headlights behind me.
