I noticed today, coming to work, my "Brake" warning light is on, on my dash panel. I engaged and disengaged the parking/emergency brake, thinking maybe was stuck there, but the light did not go out.
Is this related to my parking brake or my 4 wheel brakes? I have 4500 miles on this car. It is an XLE, 4 cyl. First time something like this has occurred since purchasing in December.
i have the brake (!) the ABS and the VSC lit up after i got new bearings and new brake pads and rotors, the car was also stalling before the mechanic removed these bearing "dust cover" circles that must have been causing speed sensor interfernce bc the spedometer was stuck on 0....so the car seems to be done stalling after those were removed and all the big lights went off then i hit the brakes a few miles later and those three lights came on...
View 2 RepliesMy 2008 Camry sometimes when I am driving the brake and ABS panel lights comes on and the A/C starts blowing hot air, also all the panel starts behaving crazy. We put the scanner and it does not show any issues, otherwise the car runs smooth.
View 2 RepliesI replaced a post-cat O2 sensor because of a code that came up last week. We didn't reset the ECU, but after driving it a couple days the check engine light went out. 3-4 days of driving and everything looked good.
Today the check engine light came on again and autozone read the code as:
P0136 - heated oxygen sensor - bank 1 sensor 2 (HO2S12) sensor range/performance condition
Explanation Open circuit or short circuit condition
Probable Cause
Poor electrical connection
check other service codes
Faulty Bank 1 Sensor 2.
Anyway, I thought it might be because we didn't reset ECU and some kind of calibration might be off in the system. So, I unplugged the battery in an attempt to let it discharge and reset ECU. When I connected the battery back up.... ALL THE FREAKIN LIGHTS ARE NOW ON THE DASH. Check engine... traction control.... tire pressure.... everything.

How the rear, high center mounted brake light (ie "3rd brake light") intermittently lights individual bulbs, but never all at once. It was also causing an annoying "Check Brake Lights" warning plus beep on the dash (on every brake). Till I get it sorted I simply disconnected the 3rd brake light which completely turned it off and just gave me one warning/beep (instead of lots of them).
I spoke to VW about it yesterday and wasnt impressed by their attitude, so last night I tried plugging it back in to see if it was still the same now that my battery should be topped up due to change of house and longer trips. To my surprise at first it worked perfectly, all bulbs lit up.
However the more I tested, the less lights lit up. It was quite strange, they would "dance" on an off right in front of me. Wiggling the wiring had a small effect, but it didnt seem to be a wiring issue. So I plugged it out and left it was it was (disabled). However to my annoyance on my trip in today, I start getting repeated "Check Brake Light" warnings beeps (remember, its disconnected so it should do it once only) and even more irritating every time the warning came up on the dash the front left headlamp would flash on and off once! What the hell is going on with the lighting system!
I have a 2013 Camry. This morning I put my car in neutral and rolled out of my garage into my driveway. After cleaning my car I drove back into my garage but noticed that the brake warning light stayed on. I checked the parking brake and fluid level and no problems there. I took a drive around the block and the brakes worked fine. Why this warning light is on?

I was messing with my sound system the day before and now the car won't start. I've check the battery and it's good and has juice. I've checked all the fuses and relays seem to be fine. Everything work on the car it just won't start.
These cars have a main relay or something with the ignition switch?
Starting a few days ago, three lights on my dashboard display started to turn on. Sometimes they don't turn on for a few minutes after the car is running, but they do eventually turn on. The first is a red "BRAKE" light above the gas gauge. The second is a yellow/orange "ABS" light above the speedometer. And the last is a yellow/orange symbol of a car sliding, or swerving, this one besides the RPM gauge. What do they mean and why would they suddenly start turning on together?
View 2 RepliesI noticed the dash lights go from bright to dim depending on the brightness outside. If i go under an overpass even at freeway speeds it will dim down and then come back up during the day. Even if I have my head lights on during the day it does that. Is there anyway to stop this?
View 9 RepliesMy car sat for 3 months and then I tried to start it. When I turn the ignition on, everything looks fine until I hit the brake pedal and the dash lights dim. If I don't press the brake, the dash light dim when I turn the ignition to crank. Either way the starter either clicks or doesn't do anything and I hear a humming sound. My husband said, "The battery has been charged and measures 12.62 volts," but the cigarette lighter voltage measures 12.26, so they are not the same. I have tried jumping it and I still get clicks.
View 4 RepliesWas riding along a couple of days ago and felt something odd under my left foot. When I stopped I reached down and discovered it was the dash fuse cover panel. I went to snap it back into place and no snap; it wouldn't pop back into place or stay put at all. Just keeps falling out. It was sufficiently annoying that I ordered a replacement, but that one's not staying in place either. The only other thing I can think of is that the surrounding lower dash cover may be warped, but nothing looks crooked or out of place.

View 3 RepliesI had just picked my kid up from school, as I turn out of the parking lot my A/C stops blowing cool air, I check the A/C screen and it still says it's set on High with temp at 68. However, it is blowing very low with warm air. Seconds later the dash lights up with numerous warning lights. I'm on the highway and I'm able to gather speed, but each time I do I hear the engine revving like crazy. We only live a few miles from the school so I am able to make it home. Once home, I turn off the car and turn it back on. The only warning lights displayed now are the red triangle and the yellow check engine light. I turn the car off, pop the hood, I check the belt and it was fine. I checked the oil and it seemed fine. I check the coolant overflow and it was empty.

I was wondering if this has a protective film from the factory that needs to be peeled off. I cannot tell by looking at it, and don't want to mess with it until I know.

At first this only happened once or twice but within days it was happening frequestly. In order to get the lights off, I had to turn them off and on frequently in order for the lights to finally go off.
