Own a gen 6 or 6.5 carry so that has the huge rear plastic dash? I currently have 2011 set with the jbl system and every single time I bump some music at like volume 26-27 my rear dash rattles like crazy from the dash and my bass is at 0/5. it's driving me crazy.
View 14 RepliesI have had my B7 for about 6 Months now and love the car except that the car sounds worse than my MK4 and the B6 that it replaced. I have solved most of the rattles and queaks and cracks but as soon as I fix them a week later I have 5 new ones. I have attempted to fix them using different sizes of felt pads after a few trips to the dealer and the fix kits did not work.

I have a rattle from the rear driver's side, a vibration from the passenger-side dashboard and a squeak in or near the front passenger seat. I feel like I'm losing my mind!
My 2010 Camry was great the first two winters. Now after the windshield was replaced this summer, the dash rattles against the windshield when it is below 45 degrees and hitting a bump. The same rattle is heard from one A pillar too. Is this related to the windshield replacement or the age of the Camry? It would to determine if I should get another windshield replacement or wedge foam for rattle abatement.

From day 1 owning the car used at 50k I hear vibration sounds coming from the rear deck (behind the rear seats but not inside the trunk) when moving from a stop for the first few seconds of acceleration.
what exactly is the root cause and how to fix it?
Rattling going on in my dash. The computer is causing some noises inside the dash. The worst part are the irregular bass noises that are heard near the glove compartment. I can live with the other sounds, but the bass noises near the glove compartment are very annoying. Looking for a solution to elliminate those noises easily?
View 3 RepliesI have a 2012 Hyundai Sonata Limited. The rear defroster light on the dash does not light up. The rear window defroster DOES work, but the light does not light up. I took it to the Hyundai dealer and they ordered and replaced some module. They saw the light still did not light up. The service manager said she called other dealers and discovered that none of the 2012 Sonata rear defroster lights lit up, so concluded it was supposed to be that way.
View 4 RepliesWhen I turn on the a/c I feel/hear vibrations from the dash. Almost like a subwoofer - a solid note though. Shut the a/c off, the fans in front of the engine shut off and it sounds fine. Cooling fluid is fine. No noticeable shakes under hood. Any clue?

View 17 RepliesI have 2011 Honda Fit with about 63000 miles. Recently, I noticed that I could feel every bumps and vibration when I am driving, at high and at low speed. On a smooth surface road, I don't feel anything, but on a bumpy road, I feel like I am on a bumper car. I have not taken my car to the dealership, but is it a big problem?

View 3 RepliesI going crazy over this mad squeak in the bottom and back portions of my driver's seat. Several squeaks happen during regular driving and cornering. I weigh 215, but come on!!
Also the dash rattles, especially in the morning. It's right on top, in the middle, above the controls. I can push down and make it stop. I figure, I gotta pull off the dash plates and look underneath, but I'll take easier alternatives.
Got a brand new 2013 GS350 fsport. 2 weeks in, dash rattles. Dealer pulling whole thing out, says no big deal. Bluetooth connectivity issues, android connectivity doesn't work. Dealer says wait on new app.
View 14 RepliesI am new to Hyundai. I just bought a barely used 2011 Elantra GL Sedan - Auto. I notice that the ride is absolutely terrible - especially the rear which has from what I understand torsion bar suspension. (Didn't we stop using those on WWII Jeeps) Anyway I digress.
I notice in city any pot hole is jarring in the front and hoppy in the back. On the highway I feel like the back end gets air any time I hit a moderate pump at speeds above 90kmh (55mph). I noticed what others have noticed too, slight fishtailing or rear vibrations when braking.
Is there an issue that I'm unaware of - is this normal or is there something broken/loose. I push on the rear like I would test a normal suspension and it doesn't bounce more than once but if I hit a bump while driving it bounces three or four times?
I am facing some weird problem of vibrations at 75-80 mph band.
I had steeles on my gen 6 camry.Went to americas tires & bought 4 rims with tires kinda package deal.They installed them.I love my wheels. Now,I noticed some vibrations at 40mph and 75 mph & went back to americas tire & happily did a free balancing for me.
Happy about this the next day while going to work I noticed the viberations at 40mph has gone but the one's at 75mph were still there. Took the car to americas tire & he said they did not install hub rings thats why the viberations at 75mpg.He put hub rings on all 4 wheels. But was disappointed to still feel the vibration at 75 mph.
So,took the car again to americas tire,they again did the balance & the guy told me the rear right tire has like some 9 ounce of weight difference which cannot be corrected by adding weights to the rims so will need to change the tire.Well he did that & was very sure that the vibrations wont be there again.
Thinking finally it would be over I took it for test drive & to my utter disappointment still had the vibrations. I did not feel any vibrations with my oem steelies at this speed.
About the nature of vibrations: it makes the steering wheel,brakes & the car vibrate I think in the front, the vibrations are more prominent at the steering wheel & brakes.
Yesterday, the dealer performed the 20K service on my '11 GTI. A bit later in the day, I noticed that every time I turned left or right I could hear something rolling/rattling back and forth in the dashboard/cowl area. It's audibly going quite far, almost from one side of the car clear to the other. At first I thought it was on top of the dash, but there was nothing there. It's clearly coming from inside someplace, and I never heard it before the service. My guess is that something came loose when they changed the cabin air filter.
I called the dealership, and after blowing some smoke about my possibly having parked under an oak tree, they said to bring it back in, which I can't do until tomorrow.
I have a 2011 camry se and i need to know how to take out the rear seats. I'm trying to put seat covers and i want to take out the bottom part so i can strap it tight. When i lift it up i can see two hooks.One hook i got out a while back when i just bought it but i cant do it anymore.i don't want to pull on it too much and risk ripping the seats.
View 9 RepliesI made a post earlier about rough vibrations at idle on my 07 camry le not too long ago. I cleaned my throttle body and it worked, but now they are back and worse then ever. Now the vibrations go in and out, like it vibrates for a second the stops for a second then starts vibrating again until I move and stop at the next light and then the in and out vibrations are back. Also sometimes I hear metal hitting sounds.
Just had an oil change and oil changes are always on time so I doubt it's the engine knocking. Also when the AC is on the vibrations just become very unbearable. Finally sometimes when I turn the steering wheel while barely moving or not moving at all the vibrations get as bad as when the AC is on and very noisy. Also I noticed turning the steering wheel raises the rpms but then drop back. I tried to record the sounds, but as usual video of sounds are useless.
I need to figure out a knocking sound that I have coming from my rear struts. I installed new springs on my 2011LE 4cyl yesterday and now when I hit some bumps I get a knocking sound. I didn't cut down my factory bumpers so I think that might be the reason but I first wanted to get your option. The spring drop it's 1.5 on some Megen springs.
View 6 RepliesJust recently I've noticed clunking in the rear of the car while driving on bumpy roads, on semi-smooth roads the clunking barely happens. I jacked up the rear of the car today to check for broken brackets/bolts/ect. and found nothing. Re-greased the sway bar bushings and tightened down the endlinks a tad (part where it attaches to the sway bar, the top ones look tight but didn't check. ). Cant seem to find anything wrong. The car is 40k miles, had tein solara springs since 3k miles, got the 23mm ur racing sway bar put in at around 15-20k miles, and then bc coilovers around 35k miles. My best guess is that the rear endlinks are done and need replacing.
View 2 RepliesI am trying to fix the rear drum brakes on my girlfriends 2010 corolla. So I replaced everything (everything is new) and i took it for a drive to find some SERIOUS rear vibration and clunking. I tried adjusting the rear pads and everything.
The clunking/vibration does not happen in reverse. I don't know what to do to fix this. I have tried the self adjusting e-brake in reverse method.
-clunking happen both when applying the brake pedal and the e brake while going forward
-clunking and low speeds and major vibrations at high speeds all while braking
