View 1 RepliesThe volume control on my stereo stopped working today. The radio turns on, but the volume controls do not increase/decrease the volume. It is stuck at whatever volume it was at before this problem started. When I turn the volume knob, I see the volume level numbers increasing and decreasing in the upper right corner of the touchscreen, but obviously the volume stays put.

I am the owner of a new 2014 Prius Two as of three months ago. I have really been enjoying the car, and it is certainly more friendly at the pump than my old Chevy Tahoe. I have a question as to why my mpg has been getting worse of late.

The ASL feature is turned off and they replaced my factory headunit once already, i brought it back to the dealer the other day and they say they can not duplicate the problem...To me and other passengers that hear it it sounds like speakers are fadign out or reception drops.

View 19 RepliesMy Gen 1 stereo volume doesn't work at all anymore. Everything on the display is normal, the cassette player isn't making weird noises, but no radio or ipod hookup volume whatsoever. I'm worried someone who was testdriving it last week might have been pressing random buttons, but we've tried pressing most of 'em and still no dice. But also, it has been very humid this past week. Is this what happens when speakers die? Anything I should try?

I turned the stereo off and on several times throughout my ride to work but it didn't change. Then when I got to work, turned off the vehicle and turned it back on, it worked. It's like it got glitchy and needed to be reset.
View 4 RepliesStrange occurrence the other day that I have not been able to remedy. The volume/power button that can pop in & out on the dashboard hadn't been used of late but when I went to depress it, the button popped out. It is spring loaded and the knob itself has an end that is cut into quarters - persumably to fit into the female end within the JBL stereo unit itself. But can't figure out how to get it to stay in place as it continues to pop back out. Volume & power functions still work but button/knob won't stay in.

View 7 Replies2011 chevy malibu. 3 days ago on my way to work my car would hit about 2500 rpms and drop then go back 2500 and drop continously. I stopped turned it off and it ran fine. now I've noticed when taking off from a stop it's a jerking/quick (only once not multiple times) kind of go. It used to be very smooth. occasionally the rpm problem will return but less severe.

View 63 Replies2013 2.0L Limited with dealer tint. Since new no issues with the radio on the car (XM or FM).. the last few months the signal seems to be continuously getting weaker... stations are now dropping off and only really local stations come in clear.
What could be causing this? Other people and spouses car have no issues picking up the same stations so its not atmospheric. I doubt its the tint, it was done by the dealer and I've had no issues for 3.5 years.
Grill blocked today for the first time and have a couple questions.
Temps have been dropping more these last 3-4 days and have noticed my MPG dropping as well so I thought I'd try grill blocking.
Tempts have been and will be high 30s-low 40s in the morning and upper 50s to mid 60s for the high.
At first I just wedged the pipe insulation and drove one trip. I didn't feel comfortable that it would hold for the long haul so I added zip ties.
I used two pieces of pipe insulation 1/2 inch copper / 3/8 inch iron. Up close it looks like 2/3 or 3/4 of the grill is covered.
My two questions:
For fWT, at what temperature should it not exceed?
At what outside temperature should I remove the pipe insulation? In the Phoenix area, temperatures rise in March and sometimes we will have a short period of warmer than normal temps in February. I just want to make sure I do not cause overheating.
I bought a luxury truck from a GMC dealer. This truck had a $35k sticker price and came with leather, buttons, dual climate etc. Loved the truck for 1 day. The first morning in my driveway, I opened the driver door and this low irritating sound was coming out of the dashboard. Drove round trip Phoenix to Tulsa cringing.
First dealer visit- total mystery, not everyone can hear the sound, service bulletin appears and diagnosed as a transmission solenoid; normal noise; not covered. Second dealer visit- I'm hearing things, another service bulletin claims the sound is from the cd motor; normal sound; not covered. The last visit I had them pull the radio- sound went away; reattached the radio and the sound comes back.
Did an internet search "irritating sound radio GMC." A lot of people have found this sound and the cause is said to be the radio cooling fan.
Yesterday when getting into my vehicle after being out of it about 20 minutes and everything working fine, my stereo was on the fritz. A CD was playing but on my display it was giving me a message about an error with the bluelink and needing to hit the bluelink button. I did so which did nothing. I tried to turn off the stereo and it would not turn off. The volume controls and all other controls were inoperational. I could not eject the CD either.
So I drove to my destination and turned my car off and on again. This time my stereo was black. Nothing would work to turn on the stereo at all. I tried multiple times to see if the stereo worked and it did not last night or this morning.
I have a 1986 Chevrolet El Camino with a small V-8 engine. The vehicle has 150,000 miles on it. It starts and runs fine. It does not use oil. My problem is the oil pressure. After the car runs for a short time, the oil pressure starts dropping. It will drop all the way to 0 if I let it. I have had the sending unit replaced and it did not work.
I have had two mechanics look at it and they have not been able to solve the problem. One checked it with a mechanical gauge and confirmed the low pressure. He suggested a higher weight oil and an additive. The other mechanic's solution was to raise the idle speed. I have had this vehicle since it was new and always kept the oil changed and all other maintenance done. I would like to keep the vehicle and complete any repairs necessary.
My question: Is the engine repairable economically or does the engine need to be replaced and what is causing this problem.
Bought a 2011 Camry XLE and the radio doesn't scroll from title of song -> name of artist -> channel number while I'm driving. It does scroll thru information when I'm at a stop.
View 2 RepliesSo the other day I was waiting on my friend outside her job, but the car was on off, I got bored and pushed the Push Start button twice without holding the brake so only the stereo will turn on. However when I turned on the car again to driver off the stereo shut off and wouldn't turn on. It's been three days now and I was hoping it was some sort of glitch that would fix itself out, but it hasn't. Its a 2011 Sonata without the Navigation, Just the simple bluetooth fm/am radio with CD.
View 4 RepliesWhenever I start my 2011 Sonata Turbo after it has been resting overnight, the brake warning light comes on and stays on. It's not immediate?it usually takes five to ten seconds, and whether the emergency brake was on when I started has no effect. Once it goes on, it cannot be shut off without shutting off the car and restarting?at which time it acts normally for the rest of the day. The braking system is fine.
