Camry :: 2011 - Getting 31 MPG - Good?
Jun 14, 2014
I just bought a 2011 Camry 4cly.
I am getting 31mpg around town, and just got 35mpg on a trip to PA.
Is that what I should expect for MPG ?

My front right or left or both for that matter, (its hard to pinpoint the noise while driving) makes a clinking noise when I hit a good size bump. No noise at all on smaller ones?
View 2 RepliesOn a front wheel Cadillac (2011) DTS, can I use only two snow tires--installed in the front?? These cars have stablization systems which are profound. I never had a problem with the rear end swinging out in my 2005 Sedan de ville. It looks to me as if the tire dealers just want to sell more tires, as they all suggest 4 snow tires. Aren't the rear tires just "along for the ride?" They have no torque.
View 6 Replieshow do I check the transmission oil on my 2011 Camry LE (2ARFE). I am curious as this car has 98K miles now and I cannot locate the dipstick for the Transmission oil. I got the car 2 years ago at 89K miles.
A technician once told me it's going to be a flush.
I only do 135 miles every week and I am located in Africa.
How do I check the transmission oil and how often should I change it?
Reception on the FM radio is not very good unless you are tuned to a local station.
View 7 RepliesSo my car just plain won't turn over. The battery is good, however the weird thing is, it's orang even click when I try to turn it over.
View 3 RepliesI am proud that my leather still looks factory, there aren't wrinkles, creases or scuffs in it. How to keep it looking this way when the car gets up there in age?
View 11 RepliesMy 1990 740 will not start. These are the tests I have completed:
Starter and battery are in good condition.
The fuel pump works, it delivers fuel pressure on initial starting.
The plugs are new and gaped correctly.
I am getting a good spark at all plugs.
I have tested for power at the cold start valve. It is connected to the top of the starter and is at 9 volts while starting the engine.
The timing belt is new and is operating correctly. The engine is timed correctly.
I have noticed that there is no fuel getting to the plugs. I pulled one and it is dry.
The code is 3-2-1. Cold Start valve? It is 75 degrees.....the car should start?

So here in SOCAL the roads tend to be a little rough and I feel slight yet annoying vibrations in my TSI with the 15 inch alloys on freeway speeds. Is this normal?
View 1 RepliesOkay so my brother has a v6 passat, he started it drove it got home went to go start it later on an Wouldnt start. the battery isn't dead an ignition switch is brand new. I haven't really looked at it yet just wonder what it could be before I go threw it.
View 24 RepliesPower mirrors on my 98 S10 stopped working. First it was the drivers side now passenger side. Fuse is good, what it could be?
View 2 RepliesI went to open my trunk the other day by pressing the button on the trunk, and nothing, key in my pocket with a fresh battery (replaced in June). I then pulled out my key and pressed the trunk release on the fob and again nothing. I then went to the trunk release in the dash, and again nothing. I ended up pulling the key blade out and using that.... so inconvenient. ..
I did also check the fuse for the trunk release and it's still good...
So as far as i ever knew cold air intakes are not good with water/rain.. living in pnw theres lots of rain but a local shop said i should be fine.. i was planning a trip to take my car to visit the snowy mountain..I mean i know we have great underbody coverings just want to know for sure
View 13 RepliesBattery symbol light appeared on dash, After determining battery was good, I removed alternator and took it to have it bench tested at the parts store. It tested bad so I purchased a rebuilt alternator and had it bench tested before I left the store and it tested good. I installed it and it won't charge the battery. Tried a new battery...same thing. I tested the voltage at the battery and it reads 12.3 and the same with engine running. Engine runs until battery is drained. I removed the alternator and took it to a different store and they bench tested it good also!
View 8 RepliesI replaced a couple modules in my battery pack several months ago and it was working great until a few weeks ago I drove it after it had been sitting a couple days and it threw code P3006. I logged all the block voltages with Torque while I put the battery under load and found a potential issue but I'm not sure how relevant it is. Block 16 on on line 283 drops from 1624 to 1296(the refresh rate is rather poor so it's about 7 seconds between readings) while the other blocks only drop to about 1450. Is this significant or are anomalies like this normal? If this is an issue, how would I go about fixing it? I don't have the equipment to do a full rebalance, just a single channel charger. I did make sure that the voltages on the modules I replaced were consistent with the pack.
I plotted the data here.
I recently had a new coil pack put in my 2008 Santa Fe, about a week ago. Got up for work this morning and it would not turn over. It makes the clicking noise but will not catch. I jump started it and it worked. Got out of work and it wouldn't start again, got a jump start and took it to pep boys where they tested the battery as good. Could it be a shortage somewhere from the previous work done?

View 2 RepliesI picked up some Daytona 18X8" 41 offset wheels to replace the Proto's 17X7.5 47 offset on my TDI. Im new to the whole wheel/fitment thing, so I figured I would ask.
When driving my car with the wheels on, I get some rubbing when the back end is loaded or if I hit a good bump. What I am wondering is if there is anything you can do to eliminate this. The car currently has stock suspension. I have also provided pictures of the car with the wheels on it.
As description says no start and crank . when tested battery is good . automatic trans push button starter??
View 2 RepliesSo I just got torque pro set up and I have not looked at ICP and IPR since I had some work done. New oil cooler injectors and all that jazz
At a hot idle I am getting
580-590 psi ICP
And 22.8% IPR
Does this seem a little low or are these good numbers for a hot idle?
Need to replace the oil pan on a 2011 Toyota Camry LE... Most of the other cars I've done this in the pan usually just drops out but this looks like like the front exhaust system might have to be removed. Any tips pics or videos on how to do this?
