The GPS is not working. When I go to the setup/gps diagnostics screen, it says that there are no satellites visible. I live in middle Ga. soI know I should be getting a signal. Bought this car used and did not come with any software disk or anything, but I think that there is something that I am not doing right or step that I missed.
View 2 RepliesOk, so i replaced my map lights with some led's (2011 Camry Le) and now they won't work. My dome light works fine as do my other lights, only the map lights don't.
I've been searching online everywhere to see which one is the fuse on the diagram. I've looked at both the one under the dash and the one under the hood. All I saw was one labeled "dome" and even checked that one and it wasn't blown? Which one it is on the diagram?
My radio in 2011 Camry (base) is not working while engine is running (the power comes on but all you can hear is static). Interestingly, it's working just fine when car is not started.
What's even more intriguing, this radio does often work properly while driving and it's happening only in the morning. However, after driving for like 30 mins and restarting the car it won't work anymore.
I have a 2011 Camry XLE. My left high beam is not working not even for DRLs... I have replaced the bulbs and this is not the case.

View 4 RepliesSo I have a 2011 Camry XLE with the touchscreen navigation. For a few months now, I've had problems where all of a sudden the audio would just stop working. The screen would gray out and I can't change any of the settings even if I am parked. I tried turning off my car and turning it back on, because that sometimes fixed the problem, but now it just doesn't work at all. I took it to a friend, who is a mechanic, and he said he can't really find anything wrong with it. When I get this problem, I can't adjust the volume from the steering wheel or the main volume dial and nothing beeps when I press it, like it usually should.
A few other things to note. When it does work, I will drive normally, but if I accelerate too fast or turn too hard, it cuts off again. Is this a problem I can troubleshoot myself or should I go for an aftermarket radio? Although, I prefer to have navigation.

The passenger side front door lock (electronic) stopped working a while back.
I fixed the drivers side issue when replacing the speakers in the car (driver side would stick and sometime not move by hand).
What is the best way to determine if the door lock actuator is dead or something else is wrong?
how do I check the transmission oil on my 2011 Camry LE (2ARFE). I am curious as this car has 98K miles now and I cannot locate the dipstick for the Transmission oil. I got the car 2 years ago at 89K miles.
A technician once told me it's going to be a flush.
I only do 135 miles every week and I am located in Africa.
How do I check the transmission oil and how often should I change it?
I went thru a number of exterior LED lights for my Prius but none of them was visible and safe to be used during daylight until I found these vendor and model. I am very happy safely running full LED exterior except for the headlights. To have the proper blinking frequency on your turn signal lights, you will have to upgrade to an electronic flasher (see below).

On my wolfsburg i noticed that the temperature it set in the middle of my MFD where on my old 2007 passat wagon it was on the right of the MFD and the temp was on the left? Is this the way it is on the wolfsburg?
View 1 RepliesNoticed that the Gen 3 black model seems to scratch very easily? In my ten years of owning cars, I've received less than 10 scratches. In 10 months of owning my Gen 3, I have now at least 5 pretty visible scratches. I do my best to park away from other cars, don't park by high pedestrian traffic streets, etc. I'm taking precautions I never took with my other cars and I still get rudely surprised almost monthly.
View 19 Repliesmy sister has a 2003 accord v6. shes got about 70,000 miles on it. recently the radio display went black and nothing is visible. at the time the display went out, the audio was still working, just no display. if i recall correctly, it also displays the controls for the heat/ac controls also. Unfortunately, after the display blacked out, she had a separate, unrelated dead battery issue. a new battery was installed but now there's nothing because of the built in security feature that kicks in when the battery is disconnected. What the actual part is called that needs to be replaced? from what i read, its not the radio unit itself.

Took the car to the dealer last night to get it checked out and they were ready to send me back home telling me there is no issue since they don't see any leaks under the car
Either way after telling them that I have already gone through 2 gallons of coolant they decided to top off the coolant and ask me to drive 200 miles.
I drove 156 miles last night since I need to get this issue resolved and now the coolant tank is empty again... sitting at the dealer while I'm typing this.
He owns a 2002 W12 and apparently, within a day, dew appeared into his front right headlight and rear right tail light...
View 23 RepliesMy prius 2010 II is giving bad mileage. I am getting 16.5 to 17 km/l. when I bought it (6 months ago) it was giving me about 22 to 25 km/l. And now it, not showing me the bar graphs , and green leaf car graph, which it was showing me when i bought it. I checked the battery by vehicle signal check . It gave me around 12.3v in the morning , after leaving off for a full night.
View 19 Replies2010 ES 350 with 103k miles on it. I noticed what appeared to be oil in the muffler, it was visible on both sides. It was raining so perhaps the rain was just getting into the muffler tip and cleaning the carbon. The engine was very smooth, and nothing seemed out of the ordinary.

View 5 RepliesMy 2007 Toyota Prius occasionally sounds like there is metal dragging somewhere in the front of the car. It usually only happens at low speeds after I have been driving on a highway. If I get out of the car to check. I can't see anything dragging under the car. The sound usually goes away if I continue to drive or (if I've reached my destination) if I let drive the car again later. What this noise might be? The car has 172,000 miles on it, and it has had the wheel bearings changed multiple times in the past few years...I don't know if that has anything to do with the noise.
View 19 RepliesMy 2005 Subaru legacy 2.5 gt is burning oil and I don't know why. When I drive it and get out of it, it smells like something is burning I raise the hood but it's not smoking and no liquids are visible anywhere on the top of the motor. I let it cool down and check the oil it has burnt a quart in 3 weeks it's last oil change was on March 2nd 2014.
