I have 2011 camry, which I drive at 30 to 40 mph some times its shaking. if I leave steering wheel it moving little left and right itself. (just little but going straight almost). what will be the problem is? current odometer 43K. no accident.

View 1 Repliesbasically it runs rough and makes noise when AC is on. While it may not be perfect when off, it certainly is quieter. Check engine light just came on.
View 5 RepliesMy 2004 Lincoln navigator is very rough at idle but runs smooth when I give it gas. Someone said my VCT may be stuck or bad. I looked at Youtube videos of VCT replacement but in all the videos the VCT's are up front in the valve covers. On the Navigator they aren't there. Where the heck they might be located?

View 4 RepliesMy 2002 v6 camry is shaking while braking on a downhill at highway speed 60mph. This started yesterday. Afterwards on level surface and lower speed no shaking. Late yesterday, again on highway downhill, more shaking.
I live on a mountain and do not notice the shaking coming down at 30mph, including yesterday.
A couple of months ago the pads were 75% and the rotors were resurfaced approx 4000 miles ago. And the rotors are the third pair if i remember correctly.
I bought the car new and it has 121000 miles on it.
1989 Camry, 2.0L A/T- 97K mi.- This car has developed a violent shaking condition when traveling at highway speed. It only occurs after the car has been driven for at least 1/2 hour. It does not appear to be related to an individual wheel or axle, and happens only when the accelerator pedal is depressed and the car is in gear and moving at 50+ MPH. Steering is not affected, nor does turning the steering wheel increase or decrease the shaking. The shaking stops when the accelerator is released. The engine runs smoothly, with no misfire or vibration.

Lately, I have been noticing this vibrating/shaking in the front of the car when I'm coasting or accelerating at a slow speed. What it could be? I got my front end alignment done thinking it could be that but it still continued.
View 7 RepliesI bought this car new around 6,000 miles the dealer machine the rotors (front only) do to a vibration when I was braking to make a long story short I took the car to 4 different mechanics including 2 toyota dealership. The car vibrates at 65mph they did 2 alignments, I got new tires, balanced the tires like 10 times by different mechanics, got new rims and tires, check all the suspension parts and the car still shakes I don't know what to do next........my next step is changing the rotors and brakes on the front and see what happens... Because the shaking start after they machine the rotors.

I'm sensing a light steering wheel shaking when reaching 70mph. Also during the process of increasing the speed from 25-30mph and above I can hear a sort of beating noise which becomes more consistent when increasing the speed. Car goes straight (no left - right wandering). Now I'm assuming it may be something related with the bearings, but I guess the only way to find out is by sending it to a repair shop to understand if the noise come from one or two bearings and from front or the rear bearings?!
View 2 RepliesI had a no-start, replaced standpipes and dummy plugs. Passenger side dummy plug o-ring was shot, some of the others were pretty worn. Polished the spool valves and replaced injector seals. Confidently put it back together and fired it up. Idled sweet, bad low on power, especially at low rpm. FMP was bumping 45 so sent it to ED. It seemed a little better but not fixed. No visible smoke. Engine temp doesn't seem to make a big difference but it may be slightly better warm. Fuel consumption is hovering around 9mpg over the last 150mi. FPW stays around 800us warm/5.8ms cold. I think the low mpg is the excessive throttle needed to pull away from stops and climb hills.
I spent the day checking stuff and found the following.
The only codes are for a couple of glow plugs and a "key in ignition" error. No contribution codes. Monitored (with FORScan) the turbo (MAP, Baro, EBP, VGT), FICM, TPS, ICP/IPR(cold and warm) EGR, vRef, MAF vs TPS, and some other stuff like miss fire count (0), voltages everywhere I could look, and FPW. I saved a dozen files while checking this stuff and can be more specific on the numbers. Fresh fuel filters, No bubble in upper filter housing while cranking. Fuel pressure was 64 at idle, 61 when power braking or revving. No leaks on CAC or exhaust.
Possible culprits : Could I have done something to cause low power when I cleaned up the injectors? I'm sure the orientation of the spools and coils were right but I did "fudge" on the torque for the coil screws. If anything they may be a bit loose as I read a couple of times over tightening would cause problems. I am certain there is no play and a slight amount of load on them. I did clean the tips and bodies on a bench grinder with a gold colored wire wheel, light pressure and just a quick pass cleaned them up. Also, I ohmed the coils while they were on the bench. No shorts or opens except where there was supposed to be opens. All the coils were .5ohm except three read .6 and two read .8. Injector buzz sounds raggedy, not smooth. Any of that a issue?
Cold ICP/IPR is higher than it used to be, at 40 degrees I see 35% and 1300psi but ICP desired is 1250psi. I also noticed monitoring the TPS, rpm desired stays at 0. All three tracks measure position but one shows a constant .25v while the other two vary. Throttle position fault stays at "no" at all times. When it was a warm no-start (at the beginning of all this) I cranked it for maybe a minute total. ICP never went above 300psi so I knew why it wasn't starting. It was cranking normally in the beginning but part way through the second try RPM's went up suddenly as if it got easier to turn. When I started the truck the next day it limped home in this "low power" mode and even though it starts righ up now and idles smooth cold, the power issue remains. I plan to get a better set-up and recheck fuel pressure at WOT tomorrow.
During very smooth acceleration at any speed, steering vibration is felt which seems to come from bad engine support absorbers. Dealer said this is normal due to powerful V6 engine. Also hear disturbing exhaust sound when accelerating. Wonder if these conditions are related to steering vibration?
View 1 Replies My f150 steering appears to be not as smooth as when originally purchased. Only 50k miles. Typically driving at higher speeds and making slight correction turns it appears to bind just slightly then when it does move the truck tends to over steer.
This is an intermittent issue and can be hard to replicate. Best noticeable at highway speeds as the change occurs more quickly. Doesn't show up once you into a turn but instead most noticeable when going from straight to slight turns. No aftermarket changes since new. Happens with or without pulling loads. Again from center of steering position.
I would like to know how to check the fluid lever on this car I have been told there is a fill hole and that's where its checked, how this is done. I know they say its filled for life but I would like to know if its full or not...

I use to use a after market gps years ago that would automatically show the speed limit of each road or highway I am on if I was passing the limit.
I recently bought a 2012 Camry LE with 34,000 miles that used to be a rental. At the time of the test drive the car ride seemed perfect. Later, I noticed it doesn't ride nicely on large bumps at low speed. So I bought four new tires which improved the ride. But it's still not as smooth as a new one on the bumps. There is a lot of shock going into a car which gives it a cheap feel.
What would make my car ride the bumps better?
Put in new shocks?
Would I have to place front and rear?
And can I leave the springs?
The vehicle has 160,000 miles and had been running great. I pulled into traffic, put the petal to the floor, and it started stumbling and shaking. I pulled into the parking lot where I was going and expected it to die but it maintained idle but shaking real good. When I started it back up the SES light came on. I was able to coax it home but there was no acceleration, wouldn't go over 40 mph, and was still shaking bad.
I used my code reader and got the code P0340, camshaft position sensor. I replaced the sensor but it is still doing the same thing and still showing the code. It will start if I push the gas while cranking but it won't rev over 2K. I am thinking it jumped timing but most of the threads I read say they have never seen this on these engines. I want to get some opinions before I start removing the timing chain cover.
Just bought a 09 Camry, 40k miles, nice car. Drove it very little before I put on the winter tires, different rims also. Notice a terrible vibration at lower (more of a pulse) to mid speeds, it smoothes out at 60-70 though.
I've read HIGH SPEED BALANCING, which I had a garage locally balance it on his machine, I think that is HS balancing? I believe the tire spinds at 50-100 mph??
I have been reading some topics with people having issues with their Camry transmissions and torque converters. I have 15000 miles now and I'm noticing not as smooth shifts anymore from 1st to 3rd gear. It also jerks a little when you suddenly step back on the gas.
View 10 RepliesI own a Camry SE 2012. Like a title above, driving with the ECO button on? I used to turn it on all the time, however, I've noticed something strange on my car recently. The transmission doesn't get smooth! I mean with the 6-speed auto transmission, it is supposed to change speed smoothly from 1 to 2, 2 to 3, respectively. It's like when I change from 1 to 2, the transmission is smooth enough, however, when I get to higher, it doesn't get smooth. I'm not sure if I turned the ECO drive off and it would get better or I just feel it so. My first thought was about the engine oil was not lubricated and out of date but I did maintained a week ago. It still happens on my car, but less than before.
