how do I check the transmission oil on my 2011 Camry LE (2ARFE). I am curious as this car has 98K miles now and I cannot locate the dipstick for the Transmission oil. I got the car 2 years ago at 89K miles.
A technician once told me it's going to be a flush.
I only do 135 miles every week and I am located in Africa.
How do I check the transmission oil and how often should I change it?
I have a 2011 camry, I can not figure out how to check my transmission fluid. I don't see the dipstick under the hood anywhere.

- 65 to 70 take the foot off the gas and feels like a clunk, also happens at 35-40.
I have felt the slow down affect at 40 and it doesn't feel the same. Also, coming out of parking spot - the rpms went up but the car didn't go but suddenly jumped - like the tranny is slipping.
I took it in to the dealer X3, "camrys do that", reset the ECM, thinking of selling this thing - my Honda's have never given me any problems but they are much noisier but I can handle noise vs worrying the tranny will crap out on me in a few years.
I have a small problem with my 2011 Camry base model manual transmission. I replaced my rear view mirror and installed the EC homelink with compass rear view mirror as the replacement. I followed the instructions and it works fine but after connecting the battery again and turning the car on my check engine light stays on. I had the same problem when I installed my HID head light kit and I disconnected the battery and apparently it reseted the computer because the check engine light turned off, but I tried to disconnect and reconnect the battery twice now after installing the mirror and my check engine light is still on. How to reset it?
View 6 RepliesI have a 2011 I4 camry. I recently ran out of gas and decided to keep trying to see maybe if the car would turn on. After all that i gave up cranking the car on and decided to push to a gas station. After putting in gas (93 octane) I realized i have my check engine light on and another light which depicts a car with 2 swiggly lines.What that light means but its to the right of of lcd display which shows your mileage. I am taking the car tomorrow to the dealership but I was wondering is there any way i can check the codes without an obd scanner (the thing that checks for codes). Do you think I ruined my engine after trying to start the car multiple times without gas?
View 5 RepliesI just purchased a 2011 Toyota Camry with about 36,000 miles on it. Within the past couple weeks, the transmission began producing a very loud and uncomfortable whine when accelerating at low rpms. The sound resembles that of a kazoo or a super charger. I've taken the car to several dealers and have been told that it's a "normal" noise for the 2011 Camry. To test the validity of this comment, I asked to test drive a few other 2011 Camry's and only a couple made this same noise. The dealer did replace the power steering pump, as he thought that might be causing the noise. However, the noise is still present and seems to get louder with each day I drive the car. I do not believe this noise is normal.
View 5 RepliesI have a 2011 Camry 6 speed Manual Transmission and every so often when I shift gears I hear a squeal noise in the engine right as I fully let off the clutch and give it gas in the next gear up. It usually does it when shifting to 2, 3, and 4th gear. Any other Manual Camry owner with this issue that might know what it is? I never really hear it if I take off slow or shift at a slow/normal pace, but if I'm in a rush and have to pick up and GO then most likely will do it.

I stopped at Advanced Auto for a diagnostic check. They said they couldn't be sure if it was a sensor, or maybe a wiring issue.

Two months ago I realized that my transmission shift occasionally while I am driving, especially when the weather is cold and I park my vehicle for more than one day. Then my engine check light came, after two days it went off. I went to the dealership and ask for a multi-point inspection (without telling the inspector the transmission problem), they recommend a transmission fluid flush, then I went to an auto part shop to ask for reading engine check light code, they see P0711. After researches online, I understand this code is about transmission fluid or transmission fluid sensor defect.
My question is that, would a dirty transmission fluid cause the P0711 code, as some people stated online ?
Need to replace the oil pan on a 2011 Toyota Camry LE... Most of the other cars I've done this in the pan usually just drops out but this looks like like the front exhaust system might have to be removed. Any tips pics or videos on how to do this?

When i lift it up i can see two hooks.One hook i got out a while back when i just bought it but i cant do it anymore.i don't want to pull on it too much and risk ripping the seats.

View 8 RepliesI just purchased a hid kit with relay harness i installed everything and double checked wires/connections etc.. and everything is correct when I turn on my lights they flicker on startup but the driver side will continue to flicker a little bit. I tried buying another kit swapping ballasts/ switching lights left side to right and still the driver side will continue to flicker what can i do?

The other night I reached down to pull the trunk release and it didn't open! The button on the key will still open it (and so will using the key itself) however so I've narrowed it down to the little cable that runs from the release all the way to the trunk. What I should try? Is this covered by any warranty at all? I know I have the optional top tier warranty but I'm completely blanking on its name.
I just purchased a 2011 Camry back in August and it has developed a bit of an issue.
I am getting a musky / mildew odor coming from the vents with the normal outside air blowing into the car. However, when the AC is on and running the odor goes away.
I have tried looking online for this issue, but it seems most people have the opposite issue - having an odor only when the AC is running.
I have a 2011 Camry LE 2.5L 4cyl that is starting to burn oil, I would say that it goes from the full to low mark every 5000km (3000mi). I have been using Toyota 0w20 oil since day 1, it has about 242,000km (151k miles) on it currently. Do you think switching to a thicker oil such as 5w20 would work?
I love the Camry, I had a 2006 2.4L SE before. To me, the Camry strikes a perfect balance between style, functionality, and of course reliability.
