The button to enter the address for Destination is greyed out. Even when the car is not in motion. I bought the car used so not sure if the previous owner has disabled anything in there.
View 2 RepliesI just received a 2010 Camry XLE V6. The problem is such: no matter what I do, I am unable to input or enter an address into the built in GPS. the "ADDRESS" button is greyed out and not clickable.
I can't enter an address (123 W. Whatever Street, Anywhere, USA) to put in something for the address book, home location, "drive to" etc.
The Toyota dealership guy said, "something is definitely wrong"
the whole car and built-in unit work fine with the exception I cannot enter an address because the button on the on-screen display/menu is greyed out and unclickable ...
I enter a new address into my navigation probably 10 times a week and have noticed an unusual issue, The mileage to the destination always changes when I start to move. I do not see a pattern but it always estimates the trip and then adds 5 to 9 miles or so when I start moving. I understand if I am in a driveway or in a shopping center it must recalibrate but this is not the case. I am choosing a direct route so the other routing options are not a factor. I miss my Joy Stick to move around on my MDX and the touch screen to move around on Lexus is annoying and it sucks to stop the truck to enter an address.
View 7 RepliesOn occasion the navigation unit will not let me enter a new address. I have the car turned on, in park, and the screen has the address option grayed out. It will let me enter previous destinations but not new addresses. This has been occurring more frequently recently. If I drive for a half hour or so,the address then becomes available again (sometimes it does not). It is not the disk, I have tried a new one with the same results.

View 5 RepliesI have a 13 ES ultra luxury package. My ? Is about he nav. Ever since I bought the car the navigation does not work correctly when I put in a destination. For instance if I drive 200 miles on the interstate and make one stop I'll go 70 miles an hour it should take me three hours the navigation is saying five hours, there is no traffic on the interstate. it does this on any destination I choose.

View 19 RepliesI noticed that lately my navi in my 07 GS, hasn't been able to locate the addresses i input. It would say that there's no such address based on the number of the address. If i search up the range of the number (ex. 400-430), then it'll be able to work. When i first purchased the car, it was able to search up the exact address. I was wondering if maybe i might have messed up something that it can't find the exact address anymore. Also, the places i searched up, they're not newly built so it should've been in the navi maps.

Both enter buttons , nav and menu button not working.(mouse) Navigation is working and there is display. When i put movie it start automatically.
I tried remove batter but same issue.

In June my Grandfather picked up a used 2010 Prius (not exactly sure what trim package it is? I think it's IV? It has heated front seats, voice activation, bluetooth, navigation, XM radio, NO sunroof though)
He honestly doesn't like the car that much, I don't think he knew about the "PWR" button that would make the gas pedal behave more like a standard throttle, but he is away on a trip right now so I am borrowing the car. I love it, and I'm going to show him the "PWR" mode when he gets back and see if that changes his opinion of the car.
ANYWAY I noticed when driving it that pressing the MAP button doesn't actually make the map display and instead changes the radio station? I did some searching and found that this may actually be a known flaw although from my searching it doesn't look like Toyota has addressed this?
I'm guessing the car is probably out of the original manufacturers warranty? Not sure if there might have been some sort of warranty from when he purchased the car pre-owned? I definitely plan to talk to him about this when he gets back because it is very annoying to not be able to switch back to the map easily. The only ways I have figured out to work around this is use the voice activation and say "show map" or to press the "DEST" button, choose a destination, and then delete that destination and then it shows the map.
Inserted updated nav disc as directed in nav disc slot, closed door. Now the disc is stuck in the scan-disc mode and the load/eject button doesn't work on it. Wondering if there is a way to force eject the disc or other way to unstick it. You can hear the disc 'whirring' briefly as if it is trying to eject, but is stuck. It does this over and over. That's the only sound; none of the other buttons are responsive.
View 1 RepliesI recently got an iPhone 5s which I paired to my '12 SE with the premium display audio with nav & Entune head unit. When I try to enter a nav destination from my phonebook I get the message "address not found on map" for a lot of entries. I have confirmed that the addresses look OK in my contact list on the phone. The addresses that don't work are not dimmed out so the system sees them but for some reason when I go to edit them from the nav, destination, phonebook list the street name and # are not there.

So I decide to give the voice recognition a try just for the heck of it, since I know my garmin will give me the answer I need within seconds. So I ask the nav to find nearest ATM. It understood me perfectly, but NO MATCHES FOUND! Really. No atms?
The garmin came up with at least 10 matches within a mile of where I was (which was downtown Orlando Florida btw, not like I'm in the middle of some unpopulated desert or something.) So far I have not.
I didn't run over any nuns or children while I was using the garmin either. The speed lockout crap pipes me off to no end, but I guess it's irrelevant now that I know that the nav is completely non functional anyways. Looking forward to seeing what after market navs will be compatible with 2012's. The only thing of interest I have seen on that screen is the 30 minute mpg bar-graph which I would gladly live without for a working system though.
I can only transfer through bluetooth one phone number from my Sanyo cell at a time even though I specify a complete transfer. The progress bar on the cell starts but then stops abruptly with a "disconnect".

View 13 RepliesI purchased a used toyota camry 2006 2.4 LE. They key fob doesn't work since I got it, so I thought maybe the key fob battery is dead or the key fob itself is damaged. I searched for how to program they key fob and found some instructions, but it doesn't work. I can't get the car to enter the programming mode for the key fob(it should lock and unlock automatically as tutorials point out). Where to start tackling this problem?

The problem is when i use the remote starter and then go to get in the car after it warms up the unlock button on the key will not work. i have to unlock the car manually by putting the key in the door. This only happens when use the remote starter. The unlock button on the key works no problem otherwise.

My interior lights do not turn on automatically when I first enter the car. I know it's easy enough to do this manually, but it's something 95% of cars do by default. Additionally, I'm one of those who likes to tinker with settings over a few days/weeks time, so I don't want to have to setup a trip and service every time I decide I liked a previous setup better than the current one.
My salesman went into these settings (on my car), so I know these settings exist and it should be easy enough to find the Contra special code to access them! My "Vehicle" settings are grayed out regardless of whether the car is turned or in accessory.
Do I have to press a button on the ultimate lockpick every time I want to use the navigation while in motion? If I do have to press a button is there any module out there that will allow me to use the navigation while in motion without having to press a button?
