I have a '08 Camry SE. My A/C stopped working out of no where, Why it has stopped. There are no warning lights or anything, my fan blows cool but not cold. I tried adding freon but it is still the same.
View 6 RepliesI have a 2008 Camry 4 LE. My turn blinkers and reverse lights have stopped working and i'm 90% its a bad relay. I have checked all fuses and they are good. I just have a problem locating the relay. I think i saw it right above the fuse box under the dash in the driver side but i'm not 100% sure.
View 11 Replies3 weeks ago my father (who died 2 weeks ago) gave me his 1991 Infiniti G20 which he has kept in great condition over the years with the last few being the exception. He's the original owner and I have paperwork from every repair and service it's had. Unfortunately the issue it has now started happening after he passed so I'm not going to get info about how it's been running the last couple years. Now to the good stuff.
When I got the car it was outside under a carport like always (lives near Seattle). I drove the car about 200 miles and then a couple days later I noticed the turn signal stopped working, but not only that there were several things not working. The turn signals (yet hazard lights work), the seat belt motor will not let it roll back across my chest, the blower won't work but the AC and heat still works, the rear defogger stopped, the ABS stopped, and the warning lights and sounds for doors open and seat belts were undone don't work.
Then while driving everything just "clicked" back on for about 5 minutes, then "clicked back off the rest of the drive. The next day I started the car, everything was fine but after waiting a couple minutes for the windows to get defogged everything shut off again. Driving around with foggy windows, no turn signals, and no seat belt across my chest is starting to scare me. Oh, and the problem can turn on and off without the engine on. If I just put the key into the "on" position it will sometime switch between working and not working.
I have unplugged and replugged the fuses and relays on the left side under the steering wheel, I've checked the voltage of the battery (2 years old with 7 year warranty and alternator was replaced 18 months ago) and it was about 12.4. I've tried reading the wiring diagram in the service manual without any luck figuring it out. When I took it to the Nissan dealership they did their scans and couldn't recreate the issue and charged me $100 just for doing the electrical tests.
I want this car to keep going since it has 174,000 miles and runs great (manual trans) so need to figure out whats going on. It doesn't seem like it's a loose wire because the car doesn't have to move for it to go back and forth between working and failing. It sometimes works more often if the car is kept in a garage but even then I'm not sure. At one point in the last year a couple mice got into the trunk but they have since left and I don't see anything in the manual that says they could have effected anything all the way back there.
If there is a fuse...or a switch that could have went bad ( and if fuse which fuse box )...
View 1 RepliesI have an '06 Camry, which has lost all power functionality. The follow items just stopped working
1. Key fob -- keyless entry and alarm stopped working
2. high beam doesn't come on when headlight is on. However, when headlight is off, it comes on--go figure
3. Power door lock also does not work, even from driver side door. Have to lock all doors manually
4. Interior lights don't come on when door is open.
The battery in my LX died, as a result my radio stopped working and my seat heater lights were flashing.
After replacing the battery radio is all good. Passenger side seat heater and ventilator no longer turns on (going to check the fuses tonight).
But the driver's side is very peculiar. At first it was working as expected then all of a sudden the light started flashing but the cooling / heating still works. Even with the system off those the lights flash and sometimes there is heat when the system is off.
This doesn't seem like a fuse issue in this case, seems like a relay.
What is the common cause of brake light failure? I drive a 2005 F150 Lariat 4X4. When i started the lights flickered until they completely stopped working. To me it seems like a short, is there a specific, common place where a wire is not properly mounted or rubs on something?
View 1 RepliesOur 2015 Prius 4 with 8,900 miles just suddenly stopped chirping and turning the lights off upon locking. The courtesy lights also no longer work (the lights worked last night as I approached the car but not tonight. The locking chirp/beep worked 3 hours ago but not now. Also headlights no longer go out after double clicking lock on either of the 2 fob.)

2008 Accent GLS 66,000 miles
All five clearance lights on my cab stopped working, and I can't figure out why. I've read all the threads, but few show the wiring, and are more useful for installing than troubleshooting. I think I have the Ford SKU'd ones, not the Recons, but I can't say for sure. Here's what one of them looks like:
My questions:
1) How do you remove the bulb from the rubber mount? Just pulling it out didn't work.
2) Is there a fuse somewhere (in the harness, perhaps?) that protects these things? All my overhead console functions and lighting work fine.
3) Is their only connection to the vehicle wiring at the harness connector behind the passenger kick panel? I checked it, and it is well connected.
4) Is there a connection on the headlight switch? I've not checked there.
I bought this vehicle 14 years ago and they were already installed, and have worked perfectly since then. I hate stuff that doesn't work...
08 R32. Having problems with their A/C. It was working one week an not the next. There is no sign of any leaks or any damage to any hoses or the compressor. There is power to compressor but doesn't seem as if the clutch is engaging.
View 5 RepliesI have a 2006 Camry and about a month ago the key FOB stopped working. I figured 6 years old it probably needs a new battery. Changed the battery and it started working again for a couple days then stopped again. Tried about 4 different batteries that worked on other cars and they would not work. I try it every time I go to the car, and at first it would work about 1/2 the time, but worked less and less. Until it just wouldn't work. Now it will on rare occasion work again, even tried changing batteries again.

View 11 RepliesMy 1991 240 always had 2 working back up lights. After one of two garage visits recently (with them not working on my lighting), one of the two stopped working.
The last visit (a different garage) I just made with this time the mechanics working on a tail light issue as well as other stuff now has me with the 2nd back up light not working. Since one mechanic lost me the use of one and another mechanic lost me the use of the other.
How I can troubleshoot this and get one or both "back" on my own?
While replacing my rear cargo light, I seemed to have tripped a fuse and suddenly, cargo light + 4 door lights + dome lights stopped working.
Looked at the label on the fuse box cover, it's not obvious which fuse governs these, so I ended up testing ALL of the fuses (PITA), which are all good (used voltmeter to do the job). Everything else on the car works, power windows/locks for each door..
I took the car in for 10,000 service. Drove it home and discovered I lost headlights, taillights and instrument lights. Checked interior driver side fuse box and all are good.

View 9 RepliesToday I was informed by a passing motorist that my brake lights had stopped working. Upon checking, they were right. The lights do not come on at all when the brake is pushed, including the center one. When my headlights are on thought, they do light up, just do not brighten when the brakes are hit.
View 16 RepliesI installed my dome light, map light, and rear license plate LEDs with no problem a couple of months ago. When my LEDs for the vanity lights came in today, I immediately went to install them. The first one on the driver's side was installed without a hitch, but after I installed the second one on the passenger side, none of the interior lights worked. The only difference in installation I can think of is that I disconnected the light on the passenger side as opposed to keeping it plugged in on the driver's side.
