On a 2007 Camry CE i4. My air intake box broke, either age or the mechanics that worked on my car broke it. And ones on ebay cost 100+ dollars. Either a customer cai will be cheaper, or the junk yard. I know a cai does nothing but changes the sound of your car.

My master key shell is broken and I am planning to get it replaced. I found that if I can just buy the key shell(from amazon or eBay - which doesn't have the chip inside) and move the internal component of the master key to the new key and get it cut by locksmith, it works. Is this true?
Also, if I, for say, buy a new key (with the chip inside it), can I program it myself? If I did the program - will it be used for the ignition too or is it just for the lock, unlock buttons to work?
The little mark on the control knob to select air flow is unlit at night with the headlights on in my 2007 Camry LE. Apparently there is a bulb in there somewhere which needs to be replaced. How to change that bulb and get an indicator at night so that I can position the knob in the correct position?
View 1 RepliesA few days ago I managed to replace the front and intermediate exhaust pipes using new hardware and new gaskets. Prior to this (see my other thread about the rusted flex line), I did get P0137, but that was probably due to the fact the pipe broke before the O2 sensor, giving it a strange reading.
Two days ago after replacing the exhaust with Dealer parts, ensuring everything was tight, and putting the old O2 sensor back, I started the vehicle up, and upon idle, there were no lights whatsoever. Today several minutes after I started driving, I received the check engine light, and with the code reader, came up with the codes P0138 and P0606.
P0138 is O2 Circuit High Voltage (Bank 1, Sensor 2), which is the sensor I removed and put back.
I assume that this sensor needs to be replaced, and I assume that this has caused the P0606 ECM code as well.
Before ordering a new sensor, is there anything else I should check? I did make sure to plug the old sensor back in properly, and checked all the connections on the exhaust to ensure they were tight. All parts were Dealer parts, and nothing else was touched, changed, or modified.
The car sounds, and drives great since the exhaust change.
I am just wondering at what revs the stock intake manifolds are meant to switch over as i think mine is stuck and not moving.

View 2 RepliesI have an 07 Camry with a hard to turn steering wheel. I had to replace the high pressure hose from the rack due to a leak. After that I basically bled the system as one would do under normal circumstances. With the cars front wheels off the ground I turned the wheel hard left and right. The wheel did give a bit but not to the point of perfection. After many turns I put the vehicle on the ground and repeated the process. The fluid no longer leaked but the stiffness was still there.
The hose was replaced at 110,000 miles. It's currently at 112,000 miles
I have a 97 f350 crew cab xl stock everything. 351 windsor in it I do believe. as of right now He is broken down pulled apart in my garage. Due to a much requested headgasket replacement. In any event long story short I got him all apart to discover that there was someone in it before me & had broken the infamous exhaust manifold bolts (5) and two of the lower intake bolts, (of course I've tried the correct route in removing these broken bolts/studs but again the year of the truck (1997) & its bone stock no way their moving...
So of course I tried the next best thing (on a budget) which is to drill them out, but I went to far into the exhaust manifold bolt holes, And now I believe that I've ruined the heads is this so? If so who knows where i can get a decent set of bolt on heads ready to go. yes this is my daily driver & since He's been down I've been going deeper in dept.
Most of the info I could find recommended replacing the entire glove box, and removing the center console to do so. I found a replacement door on ECS tuning's website, but I can't find a DIY on replacing the door/lid only. Any way out on replacing the door only, are the same steps required/removing the center console and taking the entire box out, or can the ECS tuning lid be fitted without as much disassembly?
View 12 RepliesThe plastic cover on the left front interior light came off; it is mostly intact but the small plastic tab in the inside (where the lightbulb is) is broken. It seems to be attached to the whole mechanism.

View 2 RepliesThe 3 pin connector that connects to the alternator, I broke the clip. Do the local auto stores sell that connector in a pigtail form so I can just cut the broken one off and solder the new one in? I'm sure someone has broken that clip before.

View 19 Replies 2007 Accent GLS. I have oil in the intake going towards the engine. I know a bit of a mist is normal but mine drips once I remove the intake. I changed the PCV valve but its still there. Intake filter was also changed and I got an oil change. The car also feels like it staggers once I take my foot off the gas.
Also after driving on the highway for about an hour the car wants to stall if I go above 100km/h but its fine below 100km/h.
I have new spark plugs, got the fuel system cleaned at the Stealer, changed the coils, new air intake filter.
I'm at 101k miles, and haven't changed the exterior air intake filter on my 07' B6. I'm experiencing a slight loss of power, and the engine is relatively loud/"gruffy". Had coil packs and spark plugs replaced, oil is changed, as well as PCV work performed. So I'm thinking that the filter could be the problem. Maybe carbon build up too?

While talking, I accidentally dropped one of the bolt spacers down the throttle body intake. Is there any way to get the spacer back without having to take the intake manifold off.

Another thing I seem to have lost one of my screws for my instrumental light holder. Where can I get another one? Do you see that gold thing on the right? That is the screw and I seem to have dropped it while trying to screw back the other one in my car and can't seem to find it so anywhere to buy the exact same one? It has a little washer that is already on it.
