The little mark on the control knob to select air flow is unlit at night with the headlights on in my 2007 Camry LE. Apparently there is a bulb in there somewhere which needs to be replaced. How to change that bulb and get an indicator at night so that I can position the knob in the correct position?
View 1 RepliesOk, I accidentally got a speaker wire wrapped around the steering wheel while I was driving. I turned the wheel and the wire broke. I was able to pull the wire out but now none of the controls work on my steering wheel and the airbag indicator light is on. I watched some vids on YouTube on steering wheel removal and I suspect I may have caused a connector to become separated. Does this sound reasonable? I am a little hesitant to start taking it apart. I don't want to do some serious damage. Does this sound like it will be an expensive repair?
View 6 RepliesThe bulb in my overhead dome light has burnt out. I have the 194 wedge bulb. I have a moon roof. The owners manual gives no instructions to replace the bulb. I have looked the area over and do not see any easy way to gain access. Any instructions to replace the bulb?
View 2 RepliesI need to replace the original driver side HID bulb on my '07 ES350. I intend on doing this myself. I found the thread that listed detailed steps which I'm sure will be very useful.
Any tips as far as getting to the actual bulb? It looks pretty cramped in that area.
I have the adaptive headlights that turn with the steering wheel. Any special steps needed for this headlight?
Driving to work this morning my 'please check lights' warning came on and sure enough my drivers side side light bulb seems to have failed.
Trying to look via search and many threads to see how much work is involved to replace this tiny bulb. The car is due a service shortly and i could get the VW dealer to sort this out but is this going to be something daft like 3hours labour/bumper removal or is it an easy DIY?
This is the first thing to 'fail' in 2.5 years of owenership and not one that needs immediate remedy but would like to sort it out. Presumably i can buy the bulb cheaply enough from VW or Halfords as its not HID etc.
How to replace a front (passenger side) fog light bulb on a 2006? I removed the plastic cover and see several screws. There are no instructions in the manual.
View 1 RepliesI have been to the dealer 3 times so far because of something to do with the lighting system. The MFD says "AFS Inoperative" and the indicator light flashes for bulb failure or malfunction in the adaptive front lights system.
The dealer has replaced a bulb and power module thus far, but it hasn't fixed the malfunction. The indicator light and warning comes on 4 out of 5 times I drive the car and usually within the first few minutes of driving. It occurs with our without the lights on.
The lights do work at all times, but I don't think the adaptive steering/lighting is working when the error occurs.
So I found a guy selling an OEM Part # 86100-06040 navigation for cheap. Is it as simple as plug and play for switching it out on my 2013 Non Navigation Carmy Hybrid? Does all the steering wheel controls are there?
View 13 RepliesRX 400H 2006 model. After 130k km, the car suddenly stopped with check hybrid warnings. The one and only lexus dealer in Greece replaced the hybrid unit due to failure of the power module. ( the car was on recall but they have never contacted me). After the replacement there was a rattle sound coming from the combustion engine when it was running on the morning for 3-5 min.The new inspection of the dealer showed a crack on the head gasket of the 4th cylinder.( I have post it here under a different username) .
The options that I was given was either to have the engine replaced with a used one or to fix the old engine. The cost of fixing was triple of finding an engine. So I purchased a used one (via ebay!) , it was from a car issued in the United Sates. The one and only dealer refused to put it on my vechicle because it was not going to fit and work due to different electrical wiring . So I found a mechanic who managed to put on the us engine easily and with no issues except from a yellow light that goes on seconds after staring the ignition key.On the diagnostic tool shows a warning about ABS system although the brakes are ok and ABS works fine. The car is running after engine replacement for 25k km with no problems. I attach a photo of it.
I own a 2007 Camry LE and one bulb behind the temperature dial is burned out. It is the bulb for the indicator on the outside edge of the dial. I am curious how to remove the panel and rotary dial to access and replace the bulb. I've searched the forums but cannot find a description with pictures (hope I didn't miss it somewhere).
View 6 RepliesMy turning light needs a bulb replacement (I believe, since when I click to turn right it makes quicker clicking sounds). Does this mean bulb is out or wiring is out?
As for the side light (also on the right) has fallen off and can no longer be screwed back in place as that part has broken off so I will be buying the replacement part/lamp. However, when it fell, the wiring was disconnected so i have lost the bulb and any connection to it. I think I still have the rubber wiring harness, just missing the wiring & bulb.
I just picked up a new 07 Touareg and on my first night cruising my new ride, I got this indication for something regarding AFS and VEH. WALLET on my display. Then the light bulb failure light will shows.
View 1 RepliesOn a 2007 Camry CE i4. My air intake box broke, either age or the mechanics that worked on my car broke it. And ones on ebay cost 100+ dollars. Either a customer cai will be cheaper, or the junk yard. I know a cai does nothing but changes the sound of your car.

I haven't looked in my manual yet...but is there a model number for the bulb if I were to purchase it somewhere (i.e., online) if I intend to replace it myself (and/or have someone other than the dealership replace it)?
I have a '06 Passat 2.0.
The "Bulb Warning" light came on in my 07 B6 Wagon. Checked all the lights and no bulbs are out, but when I switch to Hi Beams they both come on and then a few seconds later they go off. Need to pull the stalk back and then put them on again, but again in a few seconds they go off and revert to low beams. I have the HID headlights, but the Hi Beams are conventional.
What may be causing this? If it's a bad bulb, is it possible to change just the conventional Hi Beam bulbs myself??
A few days ago I managed to replace the front and intermediate exhaust pipes using new hardware and new gaskets. Prior to this (see my other thread about the rusted flex line), I did get P0137, but that was probably due to the fact the pipe broke before the O2 sensor, giving it a strange reading.
Two days ago after replacing the exhaust with Dealer parts, ensuring everything was tight, and putting the old O2 sensor back, I started the vehicle up, and upon idle, there were no lights whatsoever. Today several minutes after I started driving, I received the check engine light, and with the code reader, came up with the codes P0138 and P0606.
P0138 is O2 Circuit High Voltage (Bank 1, Sensor 2), which is the sensor I removed and put back.
I assume that this sensor needs to be replaced, and I assume that this has caused the P0606 ECM code as well.
Before ordering a new sensor, is there anything else I should check? I did make sure to plug the old sensor back in properly, and checked all the connections on the exhaust to ensure they were tight. All parts were Dealer parts, and nothing else was touched, changed, or modified.
The car sounds, and drives great since the exhaust change.
Driving tonight turn on headlights, I can see they are on but the little light bulb to indicate they are on on the display doesn't show.
View 4 RepliesThe bulb in my dome light started to flicker all of a sudden and now it won't even turn on. It will not turn on whether the switch is in "Door" or "On" position. I put back the original bulb to see if the bulb burnt out but still nothing.
All other interior lights/exterior lights work except for the bulb in the middle of this picture. I'm thinking it may be a fuse....
I have a 2002 Camry LE V6 (Made in Japan) and wanted to replace the glove box bulb. The manual does not mention how to change it and the local dealership was not sure on how to do it. What is involved in it and what size bulb is needed?
View 1 RepliesI have a 2007 Camry SE 4C. 104K miles on the clock and no issues until now. The car has never been in the shop. I do my own work, which amounts to oil changes and I replaced the pads a few weeks ago. Yeah over 100k on the original pads and still at 30%.
About a month ago I took a freeway drive and the low fuel light came on. I was in the middle of no where so no gas stations nearby. After about ten minutes of driving at 60mph the check engine light came on. Shortly thereafter I reached a gas station and filled up. The check engine light went out. Got home and did a visual check and didn't see anything. Yesterday the low fuel light came on. This morning my 36 month battery was acting weak after 21 months. The car barely started. Got to the gas station and filled up and the battery seems to be stronger now. My theory is the low fuel light/circuitry is causing the problem.
