Camry :: 2007 Gen 6 LE - Climate Control Bulb Replacement
May 7, 2014
I own a 2007 Camry LE and one bulb behind the temperature dial is burned out. It is the bulb for the indicator on the outside edge of the dial. I am curious how to remove the panel and rotary dial to access and replace the bulb. I've searched the forums but cannot find a description with pictures (hope I didn't miss it somewhere).

This has manual knobs - NOT CLIMATRONIC. This actually happened months ago, I bought a new bulb, pulled trim piece and it looked like a PITA. It appeared that I would have to remove the radio to pull the climate control module, but I didn't want to bother w that at the moment. I'm sorta hoping that it is like the B5 Passats in that the bulb is just behind one of the knobs and it's accessible by pulling the knob off. I wasn't sure though, so I didn't want to start pulling on stuff till it broke.

My girlfriend and I were riding in her 2007 Camry SE about a week ago on the highway. She pushed the button on the cruise control switch to turn it on, and the button popped out of the end of the stalk (it did not completely come out, but popped out about an inch). She pushed it back in, but it won't turn the cruise on now.
What all is involved in replacing this switch? I was assuming it was as simple as removing the bottom rear cover on the steering wheel and swapping it out, but I wanted to check beforehand.

My battery in my 97 Bonneville recently died and I had it replaced, but soon after it being replaced, I noticed that my clock and climate control display weren't showing when the car was running. Everything still works, but I don't get the display.
The clock/radio display does show when the ignition is in the Accessory position after being in the On position, but the climate control display never shows.
A friend suggested it could have been something with the TheftLock system needing a code, but that doesn't seem to be the case because the radio still works and I don't ever see the radio display 'LOC'.
Could it be a blown fuse or something? Which fuses do I check?

Life long fan of Toyota cars. Drove all cars above 250 K miles. The only way I lost them is through minor accidents or just donated them. Just got a 2004 toyota Camry with 165 K miles( it may sound a lot for others , for me its just beginning) . The Shifter light is out. How to replace it.

I decided to put white LED lights in my map light(the front 2 light) and after I put on the bulb I turn the light on and all my interior light including my dome light went off. My car clicker the trunk, alarm, door lock, and unlock doesn't work either so how do I fix. I don't know if I blew a fuse and I can't check as I don't have my car manual.

The automatic climate control of my 2008 Camry is on the blink. When I start the car, the "front defrost" light blinks and I cannot control the climate control. Is it resetting? Or is it downloading something from the central processor? After it stops blinking, I can turn the climate control on "Auto" but it goes to 75 degrees not the temperature it was at when I shut the car off (is this the factory setting?). I can change temperature and modes just fine from that point.
When I turn the car off for a few minutes and then back on the climate control works normal. It retains the temperature I set before I turned the car off and starts up like normal. But if the car is off for an extended period, the climate control goes through its "reset" routine before I can set it. How does the climate control retain the previous setting while the car is off? Is it connected to the main battery or does it have its own that needs to be replaced? Is there some logic that tells a controller to take the climate control off the circuit after being off for an extended period?

I usually set my climate control to 78 degrees and leave it on Auto, but whenever I leave the car for more than 5 hours then the climate control somehow resets itself.
The "Auto" light would stay illuminated for about 15 seconds, then it turns off and "Air Conditioner Off" flashes on the Nav screen. Then when I press the "Auto" button again, the climate displays 75 degrees. This has happened everyday for the last 3 weeks or so.

My '05 XLE has a small problem (I think). Had the car for just over a year and yesterday noticed that when I choose the defrost mode there is no indicator on the control panel to show it's in that mode. All the other function positions have indicator icons to show what mode is selected.
I don't use the defrost only mode very often and now wonder if it never worked since I've owned it or if there isn't an indicator for defrost mode. Isn't there an indicator for that mode?

Heating comes up very well although air flow at the feet isn't very high but adequate. However, I notice once the cabin is warmed and it reverts to keeping it at the set temperature. I never sense it coming back on to heat again and air output feels cool.
The following doesn't reactive it into the typical heat output as when I get into a cold vehicle.
- going out to fill up for gas with doors opening etc with engine off then leaving is still a very cool output and no further warming appears to take place
- loading shopping from purchases does not seem too cool the sensor enough while engine is still running
- even while driving setting it another .5C higher does not make a difference once its cycle off the main heat mode.
Where is the SF sensor located for the internal system and is this slow response normal. How much of a drop in temperature does it need to pump at lease warm air. I'll have to experiment further I guess and adjust full degree increments until I get a response. I am comfortable most of the time but I don't like cool air blowing at me through the vents in the winter.

I've got an '07 2.0T MT6 Sport with about 18,000 miles. The round chrome trim ring on the fan speed control knob of the Climatronic panel came loose yesterday. This is the piece between the rotating knob and the two buttons in the center. It's now sticking out a little from the knob and is rattling around.
Is there a way to pop this back on easily? It doesn't look like it's going to fall off completely, but I can't find a way to put it back either. Obviously it should be covered under warranty, but I'd like to avoid a trip to the dealer if there's an easy DIY fix.

I just bought a 2014.5 Camry SE. I am really loving this car but I have a question. The black shiny climate control panel (manual climate control) seems a little cloudy. I was wondering if this has a protective film from the factory that needs to be peeled off. I cannot tell by looking at it, and don't want to mess with it until I know.

I have had my Santa Fe for 3 months now and have just noticed recently (due to the cold wet weather) that when it is raining my windscreen fogs up when the climate control is set to auto. This never happened in my previous car (VW Golf GTI). I always drive with climate control set to auto and temp set to 23 degrees C. When the windscreen fogs up I have to set A/C to on to demist it. The temperature is then totally different. I can only get a clear windscreen with A/C on, no matter what mode. E.g. If I just have front demister with no A/C then I fog up. If I have blowers set to windscreen and no A/C I fog up. Having A/C on with any mode is fine! When the windscreen is clear and I set the climate control back to auto then the windscreen fogs up almost immediately again.
This seems a bit rubbish to me. I would have thought that having the climate control set to auto is all that is required (like my previous car). I don't want to drive with A/C on when it is raining and auto when it is not. I just want to keep it in one mode.

I just bought a very nice Lexus 2007 with a extend warranty from Toyota. This car is a dream to drive but one problem I have encountered, how to fix is the Climate control feature.
Sometimes my unit works properly then it stops responding. The problem I'm having is that the climate control button when pressed wont stay on the control setting on the Nav screen and goes back to the radio station screen.
I also can't control the temp up or down on either driver or passenger side. The only way it works is by using voice commands. I can't turn it off at all. I m going to take to the dealer but they said they never heard so a thing. But I showed the dealer today and he said there is a problem.

I have a 2011 Camry. The last few weeks, I've had an intermittent issue with the AC not initializing properly on engine startup and I get no AC. The AC light will be on, the blower works normally, but changing the AC/heat blend dial has no effect, I get full heat no matter what the setting.
The only way to make the AC come back on is turn the car off and restart. On ignition, instead of the climate control cluster lights and the blower coming on immediately, the rear defrost light will blink amber for about 10 seconds before the climate control system initializes and usually, the AC will come on at that point.
I had it into the shop and they could not figure out what was going on. No computer codes. They finally said the compressor current was spiking over spec and replaced it. However, two days later and it's happening again, worse than ever in that it took like six restarts for the system to initialize properly this morning after I pulled over because I was getting roasted.
