Camry :: 2006 Toyota LE Gen 5.5 - Radio Without Any AUX Input?
Jul 24, 2013
Just picked up a 2006 Toyota Camry LE (Gen 5.5) and it has the basic single CD (no tape player) radio without any AUX input. This vehicle is going to be my new daily driver (supercharged Mustang isn't going to cut it) and I want AUX as I will be driving across the country.
Are there any new solutions to getting AUX in a gen 5.5? Not looking to replace the whole head unit because I like the stock simple controls.

question is, how to I get an AUX input into the radio? Looking at the Denison units, assuming I can find out exactly what unit I have. Also - the sound is not too bad. Plays 'louder' than I expected. Is there an amp somewhere? Looked in the rear panels, nothing spotted.

When using any accessories plugged into the Aux port, either with the original iPod cable, aux jack or my bluetooth receiver plugged into the aux jack the audio comes out very staticky and even cuts in and out. The weird part is that it intensifies when I accelerate and usually at the top end of the RPM range before a gear shift. When I am really pushing the car during a merge or passing the audio eventually just gives out. When I am in a more constant RPM the audio just crackles. I have checked my fuses and dont seem to see any issues.

I have a 2007 jetta city with the single DIN radio (stock). I would like to have an aux input or usb input. I would like to know what would be the better option? (I don't want to go aftermarket). I know that there is a lot of option but I don't know witch one will work on my radio. (no pre-wired cd changer, no satellite).
Also, on the bottom right of the radio there is two kind of blank plugs (circle and rectangular). It looks like a usb and aux input would fit right there. I saw a picture in witch someone as the exact same radio but with a usb input (instead of the rectangular thing).

The Aux input on my 09 Corolla has started to malfunction.I plug my ipod into the auxiliary input and if the cable wobbles as i drive and hit bumps, the AUX mode switches over to RADIO mode and the radio starts to play, instead of the ipod. I have to wiggle the cable before i press the AUX button for it to start playing the ipod.

I have a problem and I'm not sure to start. I bought a 2006 Toyota Sienna two weeks ago the only known problem was the radio speakers would fade out after driving it for a while. I swapped it out for another radio and it didn’t make a difference now both sliding doors are also giving me a problem. At first the manual driver’s side door occasionally would not let us out using the interior handle almost as if the child safety lock is on and the exterior seems to require abnormal amount of force to open the handle. Now, this week the power passenger side sliding door started giving me a problem, the door was stuck in the open position and when we went to close it, would only move half an inch so we push it manually. Ever since then the buttons and Fob's only make the noise then are unable to move it any further either open or closing unless I use the handle and now since yesterday the interior handle on the power door is working intermittently as well. I spoke to the previous owner and he said the rear doors were not having an issue that he knew of I’m wondering if the radio and doors could share something in common that could explain both.

Gps and satellite radio plug in power line fuse burned out three times. What could be the issue with Toyota Camery 2012 plug in. Toyota Camery 2012 recall list have no mention about plug-in issues. What is the problem with the plug in power line?

First ever failure with a Toyota. We limped home at 25mph this morning. No response with throttle pedal input, but the throttle body did operate in fail safe mode. Throttle pedal checks out with omhs check across the terminals per Toyota manual. I'm looking at having the car transported 45 miles to nearest dealer. I can change the tb out myself but not sure of the electronics. Does the computer have to be programed for a new tb?

Need solving a P0172 code I had. I just pulled out the MAF sensor and cleaned it with a MAF Sensor Cleaner (at most auto parts stores). Worked like a charm and the code went away and the gas smell is gone too.
Now I have a new code - P0712. I have been extensively searching the web and cannot find any good information on how to resolve this issue - "P0712 Transmission Fluid Temperature Sensor Circuit Low Input" ...
I checked the fluid level and it is fine.
I have a 2005 Camry, 2.2 liter, 4 cylinders...

The key fob for my 2006 Toyota Camry stopped working. I replaced the battery twice with new ones and it still doesn't work.
I bought a replacement key fob from Amazon and followed the instructions (along with the youtube video) many times to re-program the new key fob and it didn't work.

I have a 2006 Toyota Camry SE with about 6,xxx miles on it. Called up the dealership I bought it from and they are going to charge me an arm n log to see what is going on.
The issue is there is no air blowing from Lo-High, all lights work except A/C, so i'm guessing its not the AC/Heat control.
This is what I've done so far in DYI:
1. replaced Blower motor Resistor.
2. Check the Fuse underneath the steering wheel. (Still Good)
this is what I'm going to do next:
1. Buy A/C relay $75+ tax (dealer)
2. Change Blower Motor $175+ tax (dealer)

I purchased a used toyota camry 2006 2.4 LE. They key fob doesn't work since I got it, so I thought maybe the key fob battery is dead or the key fob itself is damaged. I searched for how to program they key fob and found some instructions, but it doesn't work. I can't get the car to enter the programming mode for the key fob(it should lock and unlock automatically as tutorials point out). Where to start tackling this problem?

The MIL light came on and I noticed the shifting P-D or P-R was hard. Checked the Transmission Fluid and noticed it was low. Topped it up, but still MIL is on and shifting hard still. I bought a OBD2 Scanner and it returns P0707 "Transmission Range Sensor Circuit Low Input". Should I try clearing the DTC? It's a drag because it's my wife's car and she's driving mine.

I have 2006 - Toyota Camry LE and its AC light starts blinking in few seconds as soon as I start it. What could possibly be the cause of this issue?
I searched for Magnetic clutch relay for 2006 Camry, but could not find any in Auto parts dealer. Can it be Cabin filter?
Where can be the issue and where can I find the correct part?

2006 Toyota Camry 4 Cyl Manual Transmission. I'm getting a PO017 code - Engine Coolant Temperature (ECT) Circuit Low Input.
The dashboard temp gauge reaches a red H at low speeds. After about 15 minutes of driving, the car overheats and shuts down when the car slows down. I wasn't at home and didn't have coolant, so I put water in the coolant reservoir. 15 minutes later at home, the car overheated and shut down. The water in the reservoir was boiling and steaming.
When the car is idle, the radiator fan turns on immediately. I noticed the passenger side fan doesn't run. Could the one fan be the problem?
I was also really low on oil and added oil. There's oil on the engine block too. I might have multiple problems at the same time. See pics. [URL] .....

My 2006 Toyota Camry LE (4cyl) is in the shop today for its 120,000 mile maintenance. The Toyota shop says my power steering rack (or boot?) is leaking, the whole thing needs to be replaced, and this is a $1200 repair. I had an accident in this car on 01/03/13, I was hit on the front passenger side tire, pushing it in and under, along with damage to the front lower corner of the door and the whole fender. I got the car out of the repair shop last week and immediately noticed a lot of banging and bumping that was not there before. I called the repair shop, they said bring it in and they will look at it, I was planning to take it in tomorrow. Meanwhile my car was due for an oil change and the 120,000 mile maintenance, so I dropped it off this morning and you know the rest of the story. I asked Toyota if this could have happened in the accident - they said while it could be that the banging and bumping noises are the boot rattling, it was not likely this would have happened in the accident. What do you think, is it possible or likely the power steering rack could have been torn in the accident or in the ensuing replacement of parts on the undercarriage?

Strange problem that just happened last evening. When I push the cruise button the horn toots and the panel cruise light comes on/off. However, the cruise control will not work.
If I toot the horn, again the cruise panel light comes on/off as well. The cruise control worked fine earlier that day.
What this may be and where to start looking? My first thought is to disconnect the battery for a few hours and hopefully reset the computer.
