2005 Camry a/c will not stay charged. Charge it up works about a week then loses Freon. A/C machine finds no problem when pulling vacuum or charging. Is there one place where most 2005's leak their Freon? Can't find any threads listing a major problem other than the blinking A/C light, which mine is fine.

View 2 Replies1995 Saab 900 Turbo. Bought new. Lifetime history of complete battery discharge if not driven at least every 2 weeks. New alternator, multiple batteries of no benefit. Have left on flowmeter for up to 1 week at dealer service center without unusual demand on battery.
View 1 RepliesRecently replaced alternator on Volvo 240 dl (covered under warranty). Battery checked numerous times and comes back as working perfectly fine. For some reason the battery is not taking a charge from the alternator or something is draining the battery too fast for the alternator to charge the battery. Regardless, after driving the car to and from the car either will not start (but jump starts instantly).
Upon the car breaking down yet again today and attempting to drive it home the car lost all power and shut down while driving down the road. The first noticeable thing was the gas gauge dropping slowly from 3/4 to empty and then all power loss. Upon hooking jumper cables up and 'charging' by another vehicle the Volvo would again drive for a short period of time before the same thing happened.
I charged the battery and now it wont stay idling? Plus I have step on the gas to start it. What it could be? Its got a full tank of gas .

I just bought a 2005 Camry with a 4cyl engine and the hood will not stay up. There is only 1 strut under the hood. Should there be 2? Also what kind should work well without spending a lot on it (them)...

The next morning all the lights were on but when i turned the key to start it up, i just heard a click and all the lights shut off. Checked the battery with voltmeter and its reading fully charged but lights on the dash are no longer lighting up. Starter problem?

On cool days it seems to be working, but on hot days, after sitting for a while it can take 15-20 minutes for my air to come on after starting the car. It then stays cool for about 10 minutes and slowly transitions to warmer air and sometimes back to cool. I've had the freon checked and topped off, but that has not solved the issue.
View 3 RepliesOk, i got a 2005 Prius, recently i had to change the expansion valve so the dashboard was dismantled to get to the expansion valve somewhere behind the MFD. All that had been completed, but i noticed that the A/C direction control does not switch the direction of the air accordingly instead all the air comes out through the base of the dashboard (the foot area).
The touch screen 'climate' console is working fine. When I switch the A/C on, and set the fan to any level, air comes out of the foot area (base of the dashboard). This is the case at all vent directions.
I have a 2005 chevy trailblazer that vibrates. Gets worse when air conditioner is on. I've put new tires, new front end alignment, new spark plugs, changed my harmonic balancer. My motor mounts are fine. My engine light is not on so i cannot figure it out.
View 3 RepliesMy 2005 Prius, 88K miles, has developed an odd quirk. For about a month, the AC will not retain the last temperature setting. For example, you drive the car, set the temperature to max cold, arrive at your destination, turn the car off and when you start it again the temperature has reset to 75 degrees. Never used to do this before. I'm hoping it is just a module of some sort and not a major AC repair.
View 6 Replies07 Avolon Limited? My A/C goes off at times and it sometimes say Check Air Conditioner on the "Command Center." I took it to Toyota and they replaced the A/C relay for $80.00 and it still does the same thing. The Air is cold coming out of the vents until this happens. Toyota says the next thing is to replace the A/C surpintine belt and next the compressor. The replacement game gets very expensive when it doesn't fix maters!

I noticed when I have the air conditioner on and I put the car in reverse there is a pulsation feeling while I have the foot on the brake aslmost like a rough idle as I am backing up. When I turn the air conditioner off the pulsation stops. Not sure if its the brakes , air conditioner, tranny. The shift of the tranny seems smooth, upon accelaration. This also happens when I come to a complete stop waiting for light to change. Again when I turn the air conditioner off the idle seems quiet while I have foot on the brake..
View 2 RepliesI own a 2007 Camry LE. It's 4 cylinder and has 80k miles. Since I can remember, the A/C takes a really long time to start blowing cold air.
I'm in Miami, where ambient temp is about 90 F every day and it takes about 2-3 minutes to blow cold air. I can tell because this usually happens when I get around a certain street (SW 40th Street), so the problem is self-replicating regularly.
My father is a house A/C mechanic and he filled it with refrigerant but this has not fixed the problem. If the car has been driven and been parked under shade, the A/C blows cold air since the start. After being driven for 2-3 minutes, it blows cold air like a monster, I usually have to run it on 70 % cold and low fan - that's how well it performs.
2004 Solora ... 185K Miles and after driving about 45-60 minutes the AC stops blowing cold air. The blower inside the car runs, the clutch is still engaged on the compressor yet only warm air is blowing through the vents. If the car sits overnight the AC will work again. It does not always stop after 60 minutes of driving. Sometimes I can go days driving 60 minutes at a time and the AC works the entire time. Other times it will quit after 45 minutes. When it works I have no complaints.
View 4 RepliesMy 2003 camry LE 4 cyl cooling/radiator fans stay on all the time. As soon as I turn the ignition key both radiator fan start to spin even though the car is cold and not on. I checked all the relays and fuses. Checked the voltage on the coolant sensor harness with ignition switch on, there is no 5v or the green pin is not grounded. I am clueless where to go next.

i have a 2005 chevy malibu classic. a few months ago it started sputtering when we would try to crank it and would take several tries before it would run, then it stopped. So far we have replaced the fuel filter, fuel pump, fuel pressure regulator, idle air control valve and crankshaft sensor, and it still wont stay running when you try to give it the gas, it dies....
View 4 RepliesWe have a 2007 Limited that we love everything about except the way the transmission downshifts to first gear when it seems to me it should stay in second. My inlaws have a 2007 XLS and it doesn't do this. This is our third Avalon and the only one to do this. The dealer we bought from says this is normal but I strongly disagree. Is there a service bulletin on this or what else can be done.
View 2 RepliesMy girlfriend's 2005 Jetta has started intermittently leaving its lights on after she locks the car. It seems to happen with the fob OR with the keys in the lock. It started a few weeks ago with just the left rear turn signal. Now it is starting to do all four corners and the repeater on the front fenders.
The lights don't blink, they stay on solid usually after doing the normal "lock blink" and noise. This obviously drains the battery so we've had to jump it a few times.
How to fix this? To me it is obviously something electronic, but I didn't know if I should look to replace relays/fuses/wires/etc.
