View 1 RepliesI have a 2006 Toyota Camry SE with about 6,xxx miles on it. Called up the dealership I bought it from and they are going to charge me an arm n log to see what is going on.
The issue is there is no air blowing from Lo-High, all lights work except A/C, so i'm guessing its not the AC/Heat control.
This is what I've done so far in DYI:
1. replaced Blower motor Resistor.
2. Check the Fuse underneath the steering wheel. (Still Good)
this is what I'm going to do next:
1. Buy A/C relay $75+ tax (dealer)
2. Change Blower Motor $175+ tax (dealer)
02 Camry with 202k. Recently my car has been blowing cold air only when it's on heat. Then it will start to overheat causing me to stop and pull over and I see little smoke come out. Also it has been leaking antifreeze and when I make sharp turns or come to a stop I can hear water or something behind the dash...
View 5 RepliesI have an 2004 Camry XLE which just had the coolant flushed. Now I only have heat on the driver side. It blows cold air in the rest of the car. Temperature runs normal. Antifreeze is full. I can get more heat if I recirculate from the inside rather than bring in air from outside. It is zero in NY. Car never heats up on HOT!
View 2 RepliesI have a 97 f150 that only blows heat and I am wondering if the blendor is bad or is it something else that is causing the issiue
View 2 RepliesEvery thing was working great then the AC quit. I ran through the air selector and all I can get is panel and defrost with no heat. I checked the vacuum line on the passenger side engine compartment and it looks good. Oh I also took the control apart and 3 of the five holes had vacuum to them.
View 2 Replies2001 F150 5.4 4wd - AC not working but when I turn the temperature dial to the blue side and turn on the fan, super hot air comes out of the vents or wherever I direct the fan to blow (Floor, defrost, etc) I know it shouldn't blow ice cold especially since my AC doesn't work but.....shouldn't I feel a temp change coming from the vents when I move temp dial from the red area to the blue? It's max heat wherever I have it set.
View 6 RepliesI have a 2002 f150 supercrew 5.4 liter. About mid winter my heat suddenly went from hot to lukewarm. A check of the fluids shows all is good. I use my truck solely for work so I didn't bother with it at the time. Summer is here and my AC blows kinda cold, at best. I can hear the blend door moving. The temp control does make a huge difference. It just doesn't get real cold or real hot. Not like it should.
View 14 RepliesWas driving my truck I have a 97 f150 4x4 4.6L, btw. The heater started blowing cold air and I looked at the temp gauge but it was showing lower than it normally does and then, after a couple of miles or so I looked at the temp gauge again. By this time I was in my driveway. And it was overheating it might have been that way before I looked at the temp gauge again. But any way I opened the hood didn't see any leaks, all my hoses were hot except the top heater hose. Also checked the oil it was full and coolant was too, what this could be? Sounds like a t-stat to me? But could be worse. Also forgot to mention that the oil had no signs of water in there nor the expansion tank cap !
View 3 RepliesI have a 2003 Camry XLE (4 cyl). The heat will only work when the A/C is on. If A/C is off, air will blow from the vents, but it is not hot. What part needs to be fixed/replaced?
View 7 RepliesI recently moved from TX to MN and it's getting cold enough to need heat in my car. Well I've turned it on and nothing but cold air comes out. I've check my coolant level and it was getting close to low, so I added more and I've checked the fuses and they look good. So, what it could be or how i can fix it?
View 14 RepliesMy 03 Camry is blowing cold air on the passenger side while the heat is on. The drivers side blows hot air as it should. The coolant is full. Its a 4cyl LE and does not have dual climate control.
View 14 RepliesRecently my 2003 Camry LE is blowing out a big puff of bluish/white smoke in the mornings when I first start the car or after extended periods of non-use. But I am not getting any smoke any other time that I can detect. The temperature here doesn't drop much below 70 degrees if it does. What could this be and how can I remedy it?
View 11 RepliesMy car is blowing cold air but no heat at all. I checked the codes and it's throwing a B1 1-3-1. It's also throwing a A7 1-2-2. a buddy of mine is a mechanic but not too familiar with Volvo's. But he said that he thinks the B1 1-3-1 Driver's side air duct short is the problem. Is this the problem and how do I fix it?
View 3 RepliesI have a 2013 GS 350. Sometimes the heat keeps blowing even after i turn the Heat/AC off.
View 8 RepliesI noticed about a week ago (on a cool morning) that my Climatronic system would not blow heat. I played around with it briefly by adjusting the temp settings and how the blower was working.
If I set the temp to High heat would blow out for like a minute but anything else would just blow cold air.
If I set the temp to High and turn Econ on I would get hot Air.
No other settings would generate heat. I VAG Commed my car and there were not fault codes!!!
I took my car to my normal indie shop and they also were puzzled by this. They re-ran a vag com and nothing for them either. The heater core was flushed recently with the resting of my coolant system when my TB was done.
There is no sign of leakage for the heater core but I'm super puzzled to what the problem may be.
Temp knob is turned full to hottest setting and heat only blows warm. I checked the hose from the IACV and hose from just past the Thermostat housing and they are also hot. Where the hose enters the "Damper" just outside the firewall, it is hot but the small portion of hose after the damper into the firewall is only moderately warm. Is it possible that damper is clogged or is the heating coil iside the car clogged?
View 4 RepliesMy heater seems to not be blowing as much hot air as it used to in my 01 Accent GS 1.6 L. The air is warm, but it is not warm like it is supposed to be. All selectors work well eg. fan speed and temp selector. Engine is running normal operating temps too. So in the end, it takes forever to get warm in the car, and to keep it nice and warm, it has be on fan speed 3. if not, the car will lose the warm air faster than it can push it out.
View 3 RepliesMy R stopped blowing any air. I can just barely feel warmth coming from the vents, but blower is not working... I looked for some threads on this but nothing.
View 2 RepliesWe have a 2006 GX470, 90,000 miles no problems with car until 6 mths ago. A/C has been deteriorating since last yr. This summer charged twice lasted ok for few weeks. Problem initially was wouldn't cool when car was idling, only worked when going 50+mph. A/C charged worked better for 3 weeks, then drivers side not cooling but rest of car somewhat cool. Issue today is drivers side blowing out heat & rest of a/c vents barely cool at all. Told by Lexus need to rip out dashboard to get to compressor to check & fix leak. Last look by Lexus added 2 lbs of refrigerant 3 weeks ago & now completely not working.
View 1 RepliesI have a 2002 Prius that isn't blowing any heat. During the winter it wasn't blowing cold air so I put some freon in it and it leaked out I guess. So I added another can or two and the a/c stayed cold longer.
