Camry :: 1mz Or 3mz Engine Dimensions
Dec 3, 2014
Looks like the weight is about 405lbs with accessories and harness bolted on.
How about the length X width X height. Looking for those measurements at the engines widest points.

What are the cargo dimensions inside a Prius C? Mine's a 2014, and I need to know if I can transport a 2"X6" that is 101.5" long.
View 4 RepliesWhere I can find a spec sheet like this for a 2007 GS 350?
View 2 RepliesI have a toyota prado 120 , that I understand is the gx470 in USA. The car have the dashboard cracked. I am evaluating buy a coverlay dash cover cap. I need the dimension of the gx 470 2007 dashboard in order to verify the size. The dimension of the dash near to the windshield is very important.
View 3 RepliesI need the part number for the lower shock bolt that holds the shock, swaybar link, and trailing arm together. It came loose and stripped the threads out of the trailing arm. I think if I can find a nut the right size I can tighten that against the outside of spindle for a temporary fix. I can't seem to find one, or a part number.
View 2 RepliesWhat are the front speaker cutout dimensions. I think I read somewhere that it was 5 and 9/16" but how to verify this. I'm trying to put 6 3/4" speakers in there and was wondering if they will fit?
View 10 RepliesAny head handy that they could measure for me (or head gasket)? Wondering what the dimensions of the head surface is.
View 3 RepliesI've got an 02 Camry with the 2.4l 4, it's got a whistling sound from the engine that isn't ground-speed or engine-speed dependent, it's triggered by specific throttle positions...
Because of this, I'm 99.9% sure it's simply air whistling over the throttle plate at certain angles (my old 88 ford station wagon's throttle screamed like a banshee when the cruise was set to 78kph on level ground) but I thought I'd ask in here in case any variable cam timing system or something that can cause similar noises.
The noise has been there as long as I can remember, but it made me wonder the other day when I had my windows down (been trying to limit AC use to save fuel unless it's *really* hot) and heard it reflecting off passing traffic; Wouldn't Toyota have noticed something that loud and done something about it in an engine design?
My mom drives a 2002 Toyota Camry with a 2AZ-FE engine and 180,000 miles on it. Recently she started hearing a rattling sound coming from the engine. She says the sound does not go away after the engine has warmed up. I took a short video of the sound. How to go about diagnosing the issue.
View 4 RepliesI replaced my seven year old original battery on my 2008 Camry V6 SE. The car started ok, but the check engine came on and showed the P300 misc engine misfire. The car ran fine. The original battery failed the load test at the local auto parts store. I replaced the battery and the check engine light went out. I have noticed better engine performance and better transmission shifting too.
View 3 RepliesI feel the sound of my engine is not right ,so I upload it...is it okay or bad ?or I m just being toooo sensitive ?
View 14 RepliesHow to start engine 2011 Camray LXE with only the valet key, no fob?
View 3 RepliesI had to remove the battery to get at the DS parking bulb. When I reconnected the battery and started the engine the idle did not go way up like normal, but I thought it was because I had removed power from the computer and it needed to relearn my driving. Well the idle was so low it was difficult keeping it running and it did not improve.
View 9 RepliesI just recently purchased an 07 Camry V6 with the 2GR-FE engine. I looked at the dipstick over the weekend and was surprised to see it was a quart low. I asked a friend about this and he informed me that Toyota engines are notorious for burning oil. Is this true? I previously owned a 94 Camry V6 that did not have this problem. Also, is there anything I can do to prevent this from happening, or slow down the burning.
View 14 RepliesI have a problem with my 2005 Camry (bought recently - 186000 KM) , the check engine light is on again, I had this problem before but all I did was just tighten the gas cap and the light went of , but this time it wont go off, I reset the battery and tighten the gas cap but nothing happened the light still ON !
View 2 RepliesI am due for an inspection for a 2004 Camry (4 cyl.).
I had the engine light come on with a P2231 or P2238 code on my OBDII tool. Car was running fine, no weirdness whatsoever. But I went ahead and changed the front sensor (Bank 1 Sensor 1). As soon as I changed the code went away and it is not coming out anymore, nor are other codes.
However, the engine doesn't idle after 5 minutes running. I have to keep revving it up at the light to keep going. I shut it off and it turns on no problem. But then it doesn't idle. What a pain, I used the Bosch O2 sensor bought from AutoZone.
Car I have is a 2010 Camry LE.
I changed my engine air filter a while ago on a cold morning. I was putting the last screw into the air box, and it broke in half. The bottom half became stuck in the threads in the bottom half of the air box. Not knowing how to get it out, I took the car over to a dealer. They looked at it, and the response was - Sure, we can fix it. We just need to order you a new air box. That'll be $700! I explained to them that the screw breaking was not my fault, as I was careful to not overtighten it. They refused to cover it under warranty. When I drive the car, I hear a grumbling from the motor when accelerating. I assume this is because the air box is not properly sealed, so the motor can suck in additional air.
Next, I took the car over to my buddy, who is a mechanic. He was able to extract the bottom half of the screw. He had a new one of the same size. He put it in, and everything was fine. Grumbling went away. Now, grumbling has started up again. I checked the air box, and the screw my friend put in popped out.
For a few weeks now, the '02 Camry has had the engine jerk in/out around 40 MPH and 60 MPH when touching the gas just enough to hold speed (only when engine is warm & car has gone to closed-loop mode). If you mash down more on the gas, or accelerate through these speeds with more pedal pressure, it will pull perfectly smoothly away from those speeds, and the engine runs smooth when it isn't doing this.
Plugs have never been changed, but I will wait and do that when it is warmer outside. They are not the problem.
The other night, it seems to have gone into limp mode - will not drive over 10 MPH or rev above 2200 RPM in park, throwing a code for a throttle position sensor (P0120). I replaced the throttle position sensor with Duralast part (that didn't fit), then another genuine Toyota sensor. Still no luck...even clearing the code, it immediately returns upon starting the engine.
Throttle body and mass airflow sensor were both cleaned - actually, neither were gunked up badly. The car won't even start or run without the MAF plugged in, and there was no MAF code. I can't find any broken vacuum lines or obvious air intake leaks (the one thing I haven't checked is the intake manifold gasket).
I can't get Pop's 2004 Camry to start because the alarm keep going off. He's been driving it fine since he lost the fob 2 years ago until today.
Already removed the fuse which only kill the horn but can't get the engine to turnover. Disconnected the battery, that didn't work either.
I looked under the steering wheel and there are tons of wires so obviously I didn't know which ones to disconnect to bypass the alarm.
I was told the speed sensor for my 2007 Camry LE was dirty. My ABS light goes off every now and then and also my check engine light as well. It's starting to not have power going up hills and the acceleration is a little funny (speed will decrease randomly then shoot back up after a bit of time). I read there is more than one speed sensor, which one should I be replacing? Will cleaning it fix it?
View 1 RepliesI got a new frame engine air filter as recommended by the book, tried to install and the cover will not close properly.
