Car has 67k. It did this before when the car was under 50k. took it in , got it documented and they could find nothing. Last 3 days when I punch on the freeway to pass someone, the car goes in to neutral. Manually down shifting does not work. I had to pull to the side of the freeway today for a few minutes before it would engage. Felt like I was in a very dangerous situation.

I have an 06 sonata 4 cyl automatic.Today the transmission was slipping in first gear like the car was revving in neutral.Then after restarting the car it was completely normal. Code P0731 showed up.
View 1 RepliesWe own a 2005 Chevy Trailblazer, 8 cyl, 150K miles. Since July 11, the transmission has been slipping into neutral, usually when slowing down. This happens anywhere, and usually in slow (so far) traffic. My husband has been able to get the car to drive either in D3, or has been able to get it back into Drive, and the car just drives off like nothing happened. This usually takes a few minutes of turning it off and on, and shifting gears. Today he drove it in AWD, and it was fine (so far). He normally drives it in 4WD. They have been unable to duplicate this problem and, because there aren't any codes, cannot tell us what's going on. Needless to say, I've had it.

Tried shifting the car manually today and was able to replicate the problem. After 15 minutes of driving, the problem is gone.Never seems to happen in the afternoon after car has been driven.Transmission fluid is full. Have always changed at the 60k intervals.Fluid is not burnt. Light pink color.
What could possibly be causing this? Is this likely to get worse? How long might I have before the car might become not drivable ? I ask this because I have been considering trading it in for a new car. Now seems to be a good time to buy a 2016 car, since the 2017"s are almost out.
I am trying to change my 2006 azera's transmisson fluid.
I tried to find the location of transmission fluid drain plug bolt, but i can't find either in the service manual nor owner's manual.

So, we bought this camry about a year and a half ago and it has slowly developed what I believe to be a transmission slip. It seems to happen more often when the car is cold (prior to warming up to operating temperature). The transmission only shifts between (i think) 1-2 gear. Could be 3-4 but, it's kinda hard to tell.
Anyhow, it doesn't keep us from driving the car but I fear it will eventually make the car un-driveable.
We have a used car warranty but under the automatic trans. section it appears to only cover hard parts and not things like bands or other friction materials.
is this a known issue for this transmission? and if so, what typically causes this kind of slipping?
I purchased a 2007 ES350 from a Toyota Dealership (64K, now has 66K). I purchased a warranty for the vehicle. Over the last couple weeks I have begun to notice my transmission is slipping - the car will rev up with no acceleration. It will usually catch on the second attempt of pressing the gas pedal. I notice this behavior usually after a cold start in the morning as I am leaving for work.
Before I go into the dealership to tell them about my potentially expensive problem, I want to ensure I go in knowing as much as possible. I have already found a ton of issues surrounding various transmission flairs at varying gears. (TSIB: TC001-06)
We have a 2010 Santa Fe AWD LTD with about 140, 000km on it. It recently came back from front suspension work. The suspension is fine now, but we notice harder shifts in the transmission. Also, there seems to be a vibration just before shifting gears and when under load (like going up hill) seems to slip (like on ice) about once every second until the shift is made. Once the shift is made it drive smoothly until put under pressure again. Even stepping down a bit on the accelerator will cause this slipping feeling (or maybe its loss of power).
View 4 RepliesOn cold mornings if I do a sharp right turn (Left turns just naturally are not sharp, so I don't know if it's both ways). I get a rumbling noise in the transaxle. It sounds like a rumble, if it's limit slip noise it's pretty bad. It does not seem to be a problem in the summer. Dealer found nothing but if they don't do it while it's cold they won't hear it.

View 2 RepliesI've got a 2007 3.8 tg with about 46000mi on it and it will intermittently not start and only lights on the dash are the abs and esc lights on start up. Also will reset the clock and trip. the dealer has put in a new battery and immobilizer antenna, but the problem is still there, it was about 1k miles apart the last time it died after the battery replacement.

Just had new plugs put in and a tuneup so it's not that. Could something from the suspension work cause these symptoms?
View 29 RepliesJust got this Azera with 61K running after replacing front end body parts. This code (bank 2 sensor 1) came on. I reset the code and it came on in about 30 miles again. From my reading it seems this car has 4 O2 sensors.
View 3 RepliesBought a used 2007 Azera Limited last week. Yesterday, the car was parked outside and there were thunderstorms but I didn't hear the car alarm go off. Today, I was unable to get into my car. The locks wont open from the remote or using the key. Wonder whats wrong !
Even the emergency alarm (red button on the remote) won't work. I can see a red blinking light from the top of the dash that indicates that the car is locked.
I have a 2007 Azera with a sunroof problem. Went to open the sunroof and found out it would not slide back, it would only lift up in the back. Went to close it and it would lower some, but not all the way. It goes to lower but then there is a click in the mechanism and it won't close completely. Tried the manual close to no avail.
View 3 RepliesI have a 2007 F150 FX4 with 105K on it. When it goes from 2nd into 3rd, it acts like it's in neutral. There's nothing there. This is in "D" with "OD" on. If i turn OD off, it will wind up and grab 2nd again and will coast if I let off the gas. Also, if I manually shift into 2nd, it will engage 2nd and I'll have engine braking if I let off the gas.
The trans fluid was full and bright red as is should be with no burnt smell to it.
I dropped the pan and the magnet was a little fuzzy with some metal filings but there was no metal laying in the pan. I also dropped the valve body and there were no broken snap rings and the e-clip on the OD servo was intact. The valve body was also clear of anything that shouldn't be there. I'm hoping that I can replace the shift solenoid and that will solve my issues.
My 2009 Santa-Fe AWD Limited is sick! Starting from a stop, the vehicle has abrupt shifts with the transmission slipping (RPM revving). Seems worse when cold. Checked the fluids, and found ATF fluid in the engine oil and engine oil in the ATF fluid. Quick internet check suggest a leaky vacuum modulator valve. (There is no way the fluids went in the wrong holes, the vehicle only has 69k kilometers on it, so it still has original ATF fluid, and I recently changed the engine oil myself.) So, do you think this is the correct diagnosis? How hard is it to change the modulator, and where is it located?

About a week ago when I was going to sit in the car I noticed that driver seat leaned completely forward , I didn't pay attention to it and put it back but today When I was driving the the highway the driver seat suddenly started to leaning forward and push me in to the steering wheel, and the switch didn't work to put it back until It reach forward dead end . when I stopped the car and turn it off I could put it back with it's switch , also the seat memory's were erased . I happen 2 times in the highway then I decided to remove the seats fuse.

View 4 RepliesI have a 2009 Hyundai Sonata V6 3.3. I'm currently about to hit 65k miles. About 2 weeks ago i felt the transmission slipping while I was on the highway. Yesterday my check engine light came on. I took it to my mechanic; according to the reader, the Dampener Clutch System was the problem. This morning when I took the car out, I realized that the Check Engine light went away but still could feel the transmission slipping.
