Just today gauge showed only 2 segments... I filled up the tank and machine stopped at 37 lts.
So there were 33 liters on tank before refueling = should have shown half the segments.
Never happened before in 3 years and 40.000 KMs....
What can I do?
Just got the car, 2013 RX350, 5,000 miles on it.
Today, the low fuel light came on. It showed 20 miles cruising range left, which would roughly equal 1 gallon. I pulled into the gas station, and they filled up 15.55 gallon to fill it up.
Now 15.55 + 1 = 16.55 gallons. The car has 19.2 gallon tank, that means there must be over 2.5 gallons in there the car doesn't know about!
Is this inaccuracy normal for the RX350 or is there something wrong with m car?
For the last 60 miles, my fuel gauge is showing major usage,for every 6 miles it is using 1/10 of gauge.
When I go to fill gas it takes only less than 1/3 gallon of gas then it clicks full.
So I have driven 24 miles and it is showing 4/10 gauge used up.
No smell of gas
Engine light came on, fuel gauge went to zero, and mileage left went to zero. Is it safe to keep driving? What is wrong? I will try to get to a dealer but had planned on taking my kids skiing tomorrow.
View 5 RepliesI was driving to work but Sonata stop in the middle of the road acting like ran out of Gasoline. But the fuel gauge showed 1/4. I was tried to crank few more times but didn't start. Called road side assistant, tow truck took it to nearest Hyundai dealer. After they inspect, your fuel gauge sensor is wrong, fuel tank is empty.
My 2013 sonata is showing 61500 miles on it. They asked me $450 to replacing the sensor because bumper to bumper warranty covers up to 60,000 miles.
I decide to fix it later, put little bit of gas and than fueled up all the way to the top at nearest gasoline station. Fuel gauge works again, it is now showing full tank. I do not know how long it will last but it is scary.
Purchased 2011 3 weeks ago. Due to not paying attention, put gas in diesel. Had tank dropped and drained but after reassembly, fuel gauge inop. When turn ignition switch on, get normal sweep of all dash gauges but fuel gauge does not read. 2nd tech says sender okay, must be gauge. Dealer ssays if it sweeps, it isn't the gauge. 011 F250 6.7L.....

White with chestnut, 23k miles. Went 12 rounds with the dealer . We finally came to an agreement.
Only one complaint with it. The steering is lousy. Feels numb, wanders, constant attention needed. Very tiring.
Wanted an Azera when I bought the Sonata, but price to much. So while I'm disappointed with the handling, (even the wife noticed the steering ) the rest of the car lives up to expectations.
I started my car last evening and it hesitated and balked and the check engine light came on. It started fine this morning, but would not go above 30mph even with accelerator down all the way. I checked the diagnostic codes from Bluelink and it said there is a possible condition with my Engine Control System and should be checked soon. The car only has 4,000 miles and has been fine until now.
View 5 RepliesI've had my '12 Azera for about 6 weeks. One issue with the car is the inside of the windshield on the driver's side won't stay clean. I can clean it and the next day it has a film on it. The longer I leave it, the bigger the area gets. I've tried all different types of cleaners with no better results. I had a GM car that did this, was told it was from the gases escaping the plastic molding inside the car near the windshield. The Azera doesn't have that. I'm puzzled why it's doing it and how to stop it.
View 18 RepliesEvery time I start my 2013 Azera there is a rattling of the valves like there is no oil in the top end. I have heard other owners complaining about this so I asked my dealer when I went in for an oil change. The last three changes I have asked and he told me the same thing, there is nothing being reported. So I got my oil changed and went home. Parked the car for 6.5 ~ 7 hours and when I started it up the sound was louder than ever. I called the dealer back and told them. They asked me to leave it overnight so they could hear the noise for them selves. I dropped the car off that evening.
I got a call the first thing in the morning and they said that their tech did hear something and they were going to test it again in two hours and call me back. They called back and said they believed it was the CAM phasers. They gave me the car back while they ordered parts and rounded up a loaner. I dropped it off on Thursday.
Two weeks later (today) I picked the car up. Here is what they did. It turned out to be the CAM Phasers so when they got in there they also had to replace the CAM shafts (All 4) as well. I am sure there was more going on than what they told me, after all they had the car for two full weeks!
Is there a way to remove the prompt on the map display on engine start?

View 8 RepliesWhen my car sits for a few hours and it starts the engine is very noisy and rattily, for a second or so. One of my coworkers heard it the other day and made a comment. Oil is changed every 4000 miles, level is good. This is consistent and does it every time it sits for a while then starts.

The Auto button is set OFF (on the middle circle knob). Is this a defect?
2013 Azera with 7k on it. Problem started at about 1500. Coming to a complete stop, the rpm return to normal idle (700rpm). A few seconds later, the rpm drops to 500 and the car shakes. Feels like the car is about to stall. About a second of 2 later, the rpms return back to normal idle (700). The car has been to the dealer 4 times and they cant find the issue. And now they are telling me that it is normal. I drove a brand new Azera with service manager and it was not doing the idle drop. Search youtube for "azera 3" with the same screen name as here.
View 65 RepliesOver the last few weeks, my '12 Azera has developed some sort of noise I assume to be from the suspension, particularly on the right front. When the car sits for a long amount of time, there is a bumping/rattling noise when driving it. It takes a long time for it to go away. If I drive it a bit, turn it off for a bit, then drive it again, it won't do it any more.
I'm thinking it could be the strut mount bearing. I had a GM car that did the same thing and that was the problem. They replaced the strut mount and never did it again.
2012 Azera with 29000 on the clock. Dealer replaced the battery last July. I am now having problems again with the battery going dead. Taking it back to dealer on Tuesday. I thought it was the 90evening it was only around 80 and the battery was dead again.
View 6 RepliesSince day one, I've had problems with entering destinations into the GPS screen. It randomly throws in characters that are nowhere near the one selected. I've tried to re-sync the screen, by following the available instructions, to no avail. Other than this issue, the car is great!
View 7 RepliesThe stereo will power off after 10mins or so (even if the ignition button is on ACC or Power position), and the radio screen shows a battery discharge warning (this goes on before the power gets cut off).
Is there a way to keep the stereo power on even with the engine off? The ignition button is already on ACC or Power (without engine on) and the system still cuts off the power after 10mins or so...
How do i access the top speaker in dashboard? , i think something is loose there...
