I've been experiencing a regular feeling of the engine "missing" in my seat when in Drive, stopped at a light. I listen carefully and it just doesn't sound super smooth like my wife's Acura. The Acura has over 160k miles on it...so getting this from a new car is worrisome. The vibration is in the seat and steering wheel.
I tried different gas, higher octane, different brands - no change.
I have driven my Hyundai for 79,880 miles. I brought it new in 2005. I had the front brakes replaced and afterwards felt a vibration through the gas pedal, steering wheel and seat. Both driver side and passenger sides had the vibration. You can feel the vibration at any speed. Sometimes it feels as if there is a part spinning unbalanced and bumping against something.
I replaced both front wheel bearings, both CV joints, and both front struts. These were all the original parts and they were all in need of replacement. The struts were so bad that they had no gas to resist a simple push at one end. I had all four tires high speed balanced.
I lifted the front end and stepped on the gas to get the tires going. I did it at high speed and my friend tells me he could hear a rattling of what he thinks are steel ball bearings coming from the drivers side of the automatic transmission. He thinks that there may be a bad bearing(s) in the transmission. I simply don't know. What the cause of the vibration might be? Could my warranty cover the repair?
I have a 2013 Sonata gls, 5200 KM on it. I was recently experiencing an issue where at highway speeds my car would not go straight. I took to dealer, and they saw that 3/4 tires were not within the specs of alignment. Any way The dealer put the car in alignment however, now It seems like I have steering vibration in my steering wheel. It appears to go away when I put foot on brake but when I let go and at an speed I can feel a lot more vibration in my steering wheel now then before. It doesn't actually shake the steering wheel but its now annoying to feel when holding the wheel. I can also feel vibration in the seat as well.
View 10 RepliesLately I've noticed a momentary clunk or vibration in the steering column when turning the steering wheel while leaving a parking spot. It's not the same as hitting the end points of the steering range. It feels like some looseness in the coupling of the steering column.
It seems to happen when maneuvering in a parking lot, like after backing out of a parking space and then straightening out the wheels to go forward. It is random when it happens, only a couple of times a week so far. Should I take this in to be checked?
I have a 2011 Hyundai sonata and my steering wheel and body of vehicle vibrate either when I'm in idle or when I stop at a red light and once I let go of the brake and accelerate It stops. What can I do?
View 3 RepliesCrossing 90K soon and noticing some vibration in the steering wheel. Have also been trying (in vain) to locate a clicking suspension noise in the rear.
Decided to pop the Red Sled up on stands and tighten stuff up. Few loose nuts in the rear (sway bar end links and the trailing arm bolts) so retorqued those. However, noise has only decreased, not gone away.
In the front, things are even worse. Tie rods are due for replacement (boots broken and right one had water in it) as well as ball joints. But the worse part is that the steering rack is whining when turning in either direction.
Thinking of tackling the front end work aside from alignment. Doesn't look hard so I do not fear that. But the steering rack is another beast entirely.
I have a 2012 Azera and when I enter and exit the vehicle, the driver seat will automatically move forward and backward. I have noticed that it just started making a loud clicking noise when moving forward and backward. Is this a motor issue, something under the seat, or maybe just a lubricant issue?

White with chestnut, 23k miles. Went 12 rounds with the dealer . We finally came to an agreement.
Only one complaint with it. The steering is lousy. Feels numb, wanders, constant attention needed. Very tiring.
Wanted an Azera when I bought the Sonata, but price to much. So while I'm disappointed with the handling, (even the wife noticed the steering ) the rest of the car lives up to expectations.
Rough idle whenever you are not in motion. It is very obvious, and a little frustrating as my previous 5 cars never had this issue. I love the car, but the vibration is driving me a little crazy. When the car is in park, and you lean on the outside of the car it is also vibrating heavily. I hate to have them start taking things apart when there is less then a 1000 miles on the clock.

View 1 RepliesIs it only me having this annoying problem that above 100km/h the steering wheel starts vibrating - sometimes less, sometimes more. I had the vehicle taken to the Dealership several times where the guys first tried to balance and adjust the wheels and afterwords they changed all 4 tyres (KUMHO) + one rim but still the vibration (sometimes resembles mild shaking like driving on rough roads) is there. Don't know if this is normal or I am just too demanding but can't remember experiencing such thing with my previous cars like audi, citroen, etc...

View 4 RepliesI have a 2006 azera limited with about 63k miles on it and I noticed in the owners manual that at 60k I should have the valve clearance checked and adjusted if theres vibration or rough idle. I currently have a rough idle and more vibration from the engine.

Oil is changed every 4000 miles, level is good. This is consistent and does it every time it sits for a while then starts.

View 18 RepliesI have a 2013 Azera w/technology package, it has 20,500 miles. I absolutely love the car, have had no issues with it. However, every time the car is started with a cold engine, either from sitting overnight, or sitting an hour when it's very cold outside (20's or 30'sF), there is a loud rattle like something is very loose or I've described it like it sounds like someone threw a bag of bolts in the engine for about 3-4 seconds. Then it runs like a normal engine. I've had it in the shop twice, the 2nd time they replaced the fuel rail injector assembly and all the injectors due to such a heavy carbon buildup in the cylinders. It still rattles horribly. It's an embarrassment to start, it sounds horrible and doesn't sound like the normal startup noise. This concerns me of the longevity of the engine. I have video of the start up noise even.

It feels like an exhaust vibration transferred through the floor connection of the seat belt. How can I get rid of it ? The vibration feels like a cell phone set on vibrating and is very annoying for the passenger.

It sounds like the leather is rubbing against something. The steering wheel squeaks during turns. I have about 3500 miles on my rig and the seat squeak appeared about 800 miles ago and the steering wheel squeak appeared about 500-600 miles ago.
View 9 RepliesI'm tired of being told my 37,000 rattle trap is normal. Everytime I start this car a work there are people in the parking lot, how embarrassing it is. Rattle, sounds like parts flying around inside the motor. But this is normal, go out on the lot and start every new Azera on the lot, no noise at all, but it's normal.
Found this link, others are having this and we need to start making more noise just like our cars. Those of you who don't hear this you either have too low miles so far or you don't put your windows down when starting the car.
