I had a low tire and TPMS light came on. I filled all tires to recommended settings + 1 lb. 34 lbs. The light still doesn't reset what can be done to reset it?
View 3 RepliesFirst cold day of the year today and naturally my TPMS light came on. Checked the pressures with my own gauge, all at 34 psi. Inflated them all to 38psi and the TPMS light is still on. Drove a little ways - still on. Checked pressures again - still 38psi. I had this happen once before in mid-winter two years ago and I can't remember what I had to do to reset the TPMS light. Mine isn't one of the ABS/ESP systems so I don't have a reset button - I need to do something with the VAGCOM but I don't recall what.
What's weird is that the TPMS threshold should be 7psi per wheel shouldn't it? And my light came on when it was only 4psi down. Is there somewhere I can check and find out what the ECU thinks the threshold is - again with my VAGCOM?

I can't find the button to reset the TPMS light on my dash. It's not even in the glove compartment.
View 7 RepliesSo I feel like this is more of vent than anything but anyways, it all started yesterday when I noticed one of my tires had the TPMS light pop up. I went to the gas station on my way home and put some air in it and everything was good. This morning I get in my car and its the same tire but now at 7 psi so I have a leaking tire. I bring it to costco to see if they can do a quick tire repair instead I find out my alignments been screwed up and it has worn down all 4 of my tires on the inside. I saw it for myself and its been worn down on them pretty bad. I'm in the process of getting the Michelin Pilot Sports by tomorrow and will need to get an alignment.
Lexus dealership didn't catch this when I brought it in last month for an oil change and they did their so called "inspection." Maybe they don't check for alignment issues but wouldn't they have noticed the uneven wear on my tires??? Also my IS350 is all stock and isn't dropped or anything. Why my alignment would've been messed up?

View 8 RepliesI have reset my tire sensors twice and the low tire light would still come on, so I called the dealer today..he said you have to set the tire pressure to what is on the door jam.
65 psi front and 85 psi rear. I did not know that. I had been setting all to 65 psi.
My low tire light is on my 2009 VW Sportwagen SE 2.5. The tires are inflated properly even the spare tire and yet the light is still on.
View 1 RepliesOk I have looked the site over and have a question. My 2009 Azera Limited has a ghost in it. Totally randomly the TPMS (letters) light just comes on and stays on just as randomly. I took it in and the tech said there were several self clearing codes but non specific. He asked me if I had a air freshener plugged in... I looked at him like he needed a drug testing. He went on to explain he had another customer who had one and every time he plugged it in the TPMS would light and when he unplugged it it would go away.
Nothing is plugged in or sometimes something is plugged in and it makes no difference! That light comes on whenever it wants and it is driving me batty!
No luck using the search option. Can I reset (get the faulty wheel onboard light to turn off ) the system myself through the learn sequence? Haven't been able to achieve that result yet.
View 4 RepliesTPMS light comes on. Properly inflated all four tires, then attempted to reset the TPMS system. The procedure says to hold the button until the light blinks three times. Having done this in the past, I know that the light should stop blinking when the reset button is released. Now, the light continues to blink after releasing the reset button. When in regular drive mode, the button is continuously on.

Recently I encounter some trouble on tire pressure and TPMS triggered. I was told to reset it by myself. Unfortunately, mine is basic S model and there is no MFD or reset button in glove box. Manual said using MFD. Any way to reset without going to dealership on Tiguan S model?
View 4 RepliesSwitched my wheels at Discount Tires/America's Tires and for some reason my TPMS warning light won't go away. It's been more than 24hrs and I've driven over 100 miles, even put the tires to 42psi but still the warning light won't go away. The shop did rebuilt the TPMS due to the wheel change but it's nothing out of the ordinary so I am not sure what's going on here.

View 14 RepliesHad the first flat, and after it was fixed, screen warning and yellow TPMS light don't go away. Does it reset itself automatically after 'x' ignition cycles, or do we need one of those TPMS tools to reset it? No mention of this in the manual. Need to know before I blame Discount Tire for damaging the sensor. But since they don't charge to fix flats, don't know if I'd be able to get anything from them.
It's a 2011 Sonata Limited.

Had tires replaced at a Sears auto (only place open). But now can't reset the light on the dash. One thread said to push the reset button under the steering column while starting the car, but that doesn't work.

View 3 RepliesWe just purchased a 2007 Santa Fe Limited with the 3.3 V6 and AWD. It was in remarkable shape with 137k on the clock and everything appears to be in working order. Our only complaint is the TPMS light. This light seems to have a mind of its own. All tires are inflated properly and it's not really that cold here on Long Island these past few weeks, but the TPMS light comes on every now and then.
The first time it came on, my wife was driving on a bridge that had construction going on. It went off by itself a few minutes later. The light came on again the next time she passed the same spot and again it went off on its own. I've been reading about RF interference with the sensors and I think this is what is happening on the bridge.
Saturday we passed a fire house and the light came on again. We parked across the street and came back after 2 hours to find the light still on and remained on for the ride home and still on the next day. We had the Bluetooth adapter plugged into the cigarette lighter the whole time as we were using Pandora thru the factory radio. As a goof just to see what would happen, I removed the adapter from the plug and the TPMS light went off a couple of minutes later. I've used the adapter before and it was fine. Could it be it was interfering with TPMS once the system was tripped by the EMI?
How common is this and is there any way to diagnosis this with a scan tool, etc?
2009 Lexus ES ... Just put my summer tires/wheels back on and how do I make the low tire pressure light to go off? These wheels have sensors that were registered at the dealer when purchased ... Do I have reset the system by deflating to the trigger point or should the computer remember the data from last fall when I took them off?
