How do you unlock a 2007 avalon limited with both smart keys in locked in the car? My wife put both of our keys in her purse in the car then one of our grandkids hit the lock button on the outside of the handle.
View 14 RepliesJust bought a 2012 limited Avalon and am trying to link smart key door unlock to seat memory. Have followed directions in manual (ignition off, door closed, seat set to desired position - press 2 and unlock at same time, hear beep). After doing this process, I move the drivers seat and close and lock drivers door and wait until lights go out. No seat movement upon door unlock. Have to press seat memory position button to move seat back.

View 2 RepliesWe have a 2005 Avalon. The rear passenger door appeared to "stick occasionally, trouble opening or closing. Now the door is closed and we cannot open it. It seems like it is locked. Since it is not open, it appears that access to the door interior is very difficult.
View 3 RepliesI have a 2007 santa fe and my rear passenger door is locked shut and i cant remove the door card to gain access to the lock ! i have tried the key fob and all the other doors lock and unlock fine !
The lock lever inside the car for the offending rear door flickers when you try and unlock the door with the fob but that is all .
I guess I shouldn't be surprised that I can't find the location of the OBD port in any of the written material on my '06 Avalon.

vehicle no longer pulls as much to left or right when cruising on highway as much but problem is still there. Road is arrow straight yet I need to turn the wheel slightly to the left or right to keep it going straight. otherwise, it pulls to the side once i let go.
06 limited. I lost the Toyota book that has the procedure in it to change the smartkey system's door handle button to unlock all of the doors instead of just the drivers door.

View 2 RepliesOn my sister's 2009 avalon unlimited, the remote will only unlock the rear drivers side door. If the door handle is grasped to unlock the doors, only the rear drivers side door unlocks. On the inside of the car, the drivers side door unlock switch (master switch) does nothing. The passengers side door unlock switch only unlocks the rear drivers side door. The bottom line is that only the rear drivers side door locks and unlocks using the remote or passenger side door unlock button on the inside of the vehicle.

How can i remove the door panel while the door is locked? replacing the actuator assembly is no big deal as I have done it to the passenger front door, but I was able to get the door open to remove the panel. i don't believe I can remove the rear panel without getting the door open...
We've had our '11 Prius II now for a couple weeks, and I have run into a problem I can't seem to figure out. When I lock the car, either using the button on the FOB or the smart key, then come back and try to unlock it using the smart key, it will lock the vehicle again. I have to wait a few seconds and try the smart key again and then it will unlock. I tried the search, but haven't found any thing describing this. Am I doing something wrong?

Is there a way to get all the doors to unlock when you pull the handle instead of just the drivers door unlock. I frequently travel with a passenger and it would be nice to not have to unlock my door first, and then bend over and click the unlock button inside.
View 2 RepliesHave a chance at a 2006 Gen2 wreck for parts or repair. It was towed home by a tow truck with wheel lift. Owner isn't sure where the Smart Key is. Daughters' car and tow truck co. nor daughter are sure what happened to Smart Key. Car doors and some windows are open.
Now, I assume that if the Smart Key isn't in the car, then it will be locked in Park and steering locked as well. (I'm presently driving a 2002 classic and not sure if the steering locks on Gen2s when smart key is removed.)
I only have a dolly or a trailer with ramps. Either way I need to find a way to get out of park and unlock the steering. I haven't inspected the vehicle in person but figure if the accessory battery is dead, I could jumper at the terminals under the hood.
1) This is not battery problem, because smart function is work. If battery dead , smart function complete dead, and I change 2 new battery.
2) sometime smart fob can remote lock door. but 99% is not work. I don't know why.
I have a Prius 2007 with smart key, the problem is the driver's door does not unlock while touching the handle sensor pad. I works perfectly with the other door and with the hatch one. The interior light turns on when I get close to the driver's door which means that it's not the proximity sensor.
It stopped working like a year ago, the weird thing that last winter and during the snow time exactly it worked like there is no problem at all! After that when the weather got better it stopped working again! Is it something related to temperature/humidity? or it was just like a one off happened by chance at that time?
Is there a way to diagnose the touch pad sensor and fixing it?
I have read somewhere on here that you can reprogram your car so that when you touch the driver door handle to unlock, it unlocks all the doors. Can't find the thread now & can't find it in the manual. Looking for instructions how to do this or page number of the manual?
