Interior cabin lights and the light in the trunk stopped working in my 2009 Avalon Limited. The clock in the dashboard also not working. Other things such as smart key, dashboard lights, cd player works fine.
View 3 RepliesMy brother installed a CD player in my car a while back and did something wrong. The interior lights don't work anymore, the clock on the dash resets to 1 o'clock when the car is shut off and the driven miles reset every time as well. I have checked all the fuses and they are good. Someone went in and looked at the wires behind the CD player and they didn't see anything wrong. What could cause this issue? (Subaru Outback 2000)
View 2 RepliesRecently, my dashboard lights stopped working. All of the indicators work like gas light, check engine, etc. I checked every fuse and they seem to be working fine.
I work 45 minutes away and usually drive home at night so I'd love to be able to see my speed again without relying on my GPS.
Just got the car and every time I stop and restart the car the clock reset to 1:00. everything else works fine and nothing else resets. no fuses are blown, etc. Radio presets and memory seats keep their settings. called the dealer and they are supposed to be getting back to me.

I don't know if it's something I did now but I see the outer reverse lights (on the car body, rather than trunk lid) don't come on as they should. Also any tips to install the video interface and/or camera are extremely welcome - it can never be too basic!

But now the radio won't turn on, the clock doesn't work and the interior light isn't working. What the issue could be?

View 6 RepliesI have a 97 toyota avalon. I just had the battery and alternator changed. Now my clock does not keep correct time (I believe this is only when the car is not running). Also my dome light will not work any longer. My car auto lock does does not lock on its own any more, and if I use the power locks and turn on the dome light, the car unlocks, but the dome light still does not come on. This all started about a week or two ago after installing the alternator.
View 7 RepliesI have a 2003 Hyundai Tiburon. I have an aftermarket radio in my car that has the capability to be hooked up to a rear view camera. I did not put it in, I also do not have a back up camera. It was done before I got the car. At first it was just a quirky thing, whenever I would turn on the headlights, the radio would switch to back up mode. I would turn the radio on and then off again and everything was fine. Then every once in a while the radio and clock would reset. I kept getting annoyed with that so I left the light switch on. (When i turn my car off the headlights turn off as well) Then it occasionally started resetting when i turned the car on. Now as I drive down the road and my car has been on for 20 min, half hour, the dashboard lights turn off and the clock and radio reset.

I presume it's not the fuse because according to the owners manual the 7.5A fuse also controls dash light, power outlet and flashers and they all work. Could it be another fuse, or something else? I can use a voltmeter

The dashboard is cracking, electrical issues, last time was a 700 bill to replace one of the computers, now the key remote doesn't work at all, and yes I changed the battery it is normal because the mileage and age on this cars.
I have totally insulated my 2013 Avalon XLE with the sound deadening materials. Now, I can hardly hear or feel any engine noise or vibration at any speed unless I really accelerate the engine hard. I have also insulated my wife's 2012 Camry LE but I have not been able to eliminate the typical 4 cylinder engine buzzing sound and vibration intruding into the cabin. I am wondering if the Avalon Hybrid does the same once the 4 cylinder engine kicks in even though it is better insulated than the Camry.

I went to get something out of it the other day... Opened the door and it sounds like I've left the hazards on... There's a clicking coming from the dashboard and the overhead lights, and running board lights blink. If I shut the door, it stops.
Do I need to call in a priest?
Today while driving my clock/temp went out. After I parked, my remote lock/unlock was not working. At first I thought it was a battery issue in my key fob but then remembered the clock going out earlier while driving. Then it dawned on me that a fuse must have gone out. I checked to see which one was the clock fuse (third one over from the left on the top row, 10A) and saw that my add-a-fuse was in that exact slot that powers my interior LED's. I removed it and put in the original low profile 10A fuse to diagnose if this was the issue and the clock did not come back on. I tried several different fuses with no success. My first question is, what could have been damaged since evidently it is not a fuse? Second, could this be an issue that is not covered if I tell them an add-a-fuse was in there? Obviously I will just not mention it and remove it but what could be the issue here?
View 5 RepliesI know the first thing you all will say is to check my fuses and relays. I already have done every last thing related to that to try and figure out the problem. The only thing I can bring my mind to consider is that one of the relays located on the back of the interior fuse box, might be the problem. However I cannot get to that easily without tearing my car apart, which I do not want to do without truly knowing that is the root of my problem.
I had a collision guy (family friend) look at my car for free, knowing he had limited knowledge on electrical, he thinks that it is my ECM or ECU possibly.
Amongst the clock, radio, and keyless entry being out, my gauges spin around when I turn the car on, and my door chime also fails.
I truly don't think this is the case because I didn't think the ECU controlled the radio and lights, more so that it controls when the car shifts and such.
A/C wont work. The freon is empty no visual scratch or leak found pipe or condenser. I haven't check the evaporator, the latter may be tough to check as it sits inside the dash.

My car clicker the trunk, alarm, door lock, and unlock doesn't work either so how do I fix. I don't know if I blew a fuse and I can't check as I don't have my car manual.
View 11 RepliesI pulled the TFL pin from the back of the harness plug that goes to the headlight switch (Euro one at that) but not only did it kill the all the dash, console, switch light, but the DRLs stayed. Pin was the 3rd one from the left on the top row if you look at the harness plug as it sits in the car. Thicker gauge red wire.

I just got my 2013 Elantra in Pearl White GLS Preferred Package about a month ago, and since then the interior lights fuse has blown twice. The first time I took it back to the dealer and they replaced a fuse. It then worked for about a week or so and they're out again. Also, the passenger fog lamp keeps just blowing bulbs.

Stupidly I took metal pliers and bent the connectors a little closer to each other. And now the interior lights don't work =.=
Could the metal pliers on the metal connectors have blown a fuse or something?
