Front passenger seat rattles when the road is rough. Didn't notice it last week but it is noisy today. When I put my hand between the seat and center console, the sound stops. Is this common for a new Avalon? Is it an easy fix?

My sc430 is giving a loud pop right over passenger's side from roof, whenever my car goes over a bump or rough road. I think it's where the front hardtop latches are. Only on the driver's side. It's a loud pop sound.
Does this have something to do with the latch, or latch motors, that closes the power roof ? Would it work if I tighten the retractable top by turning the rubber button in the center back of the car, the one that exposes during roof operation as outlined by other posters here?
It's a metal on metal rattle sound when I'm going slower speeds and paved residential streets that are a little rough. passenger front is where it seems to be coming from. I can almost know when it's going to do it when I'm coming up on a rough spot on the road. super frustrating. Started noticing if after my mechanic replaced both front springs when my driver side spring broke. Took it back to him and he couldn't hear it and made sure everything was tight. What it could be. Thought maybe stabalizer link but not sure how to tell if it's bad.

Later in the day we noticed that the front window switch for the passenger window on the drivers side, does not work. The one on the passenger door works fine so it's not the motor. How difficult are these to replace? BTW, the window lock switch is NOT on.

Recently, I noticed that when I play music with some low bass notes, the front door speakers seems to distort and rattle when I play at normal volume (around 15-18). My EQ settings are set to 0. I don't recall this problem occurring when I first got the car in January 2013.
View 13 RepliesI have a 2005 camry, 25k miles on it. I notice that when I go over a bump road or potholes and try to break at the same time, the brake would rattle and it's like it get stuck. The brake pedal would respond the same way, I would press down on it but it will resist my foot pushing down on it. I could still brake but it's not as responsive. Also lately, 3 times in the last 2 months my car won;t start on the first try.

Offlate I am observing that when the car is shifting gears (automatic), I hear kind of some fluid moving through near the front passenger seat. I looked under the seat and the searched the whole car to see if there is a half empty water bottle thats making the sound. I dont see it though. Am I looking at some problem?

2009 Avalon Limited
My friend has a 2007 Avalon with 150,000 miles. He ran over a chunk of rubber tire that was in the road and now has a load noise at 40 to 60 mph. He believes that a sound deading material is missing from under the car. He took it to the dealer and they could not determine the cause. He also took it to a local repair shop and they could not fix it. It appears that this material is used in the wheel wells also.
View 1 RepliesI notice the door rattles a lot now, more noticeably over bumps. Also, I don't really turn my music that loud, but when it is I can hear the rattle as well. Any quick fixs for this? Or would it be easier to get the dealer to try to fix this during my 5000 mile maintenance?
View 6 RepliesHeat shield around the rear muffler near tail pipe is a piece of junk. it makes noise because its so flimsy. The wind blows on it going down the road its about as strong as tin foil. If you hear noise from the rear, check both heat shields they may have stones or leaves inside them, they can make weird noises.
View 3 RepliesI have a 2016 F250 6.2 XLT CC 4X4 that is mostly stock, except I did put on 18x9 wheels and LT275/70/18 Cooper ST MAXX tires. I have noticed recently on hwy driving and even in town driving, that the passenger seat rattles/vibrates quite loudly. Obviously if there is someone setting in the seat, it is just fine.
Is this a common issue? Is there a quick fix (tightening a couple bolts or replacing a couple clips?) Or should I take this back to the dealer for warranty?
Just in case the dealer wants to be a jerk and skip fixing the rattles I have on my car, just curious about creaking noises coming from the front doors. I have one that is pretty bad on the passenger side door. It sounds like a small creek, it happens when i go through roads that are not perfect. The noise goes away if I push against the door panel, not so much when I yank it in. I currently have a broken driver seat too, so hard to pinpoint if I have the exact same problem on the driver side front door, but the creaking is the same.
View 14 RepliesFront passenger door rattles on cold idle. When the engine starts up when cold, the passenger door panel resonates with engine idle. It doesn't rattle with bumps on the road, just the engine vibration.
I took it to a dealer and they added some foam padding and I thought it was fixed, but the next day I noticed the same issue except now the buzzing is "tighter" and faster and a bit muffled. Opening the door stops it. After the engine warms up and idles at a different RPM, it is no longer noticeable.
What this is?
The second rattle started when the weather cooled down for winter. The center console rattles with bumps in the road.
These noises are minor, but so annoying, so I need to get it fixed soon.
I have a 2008 GS 350.........85k miles. Last week noticed an annoying rattle in front passenger door towards the top just below the window. Should I bring this up to the service technician at my next Lexus dealer service visit?

View 10 RepliesWell, no wiring mod is required. Here is the procedure:
1. Set the LCD on the combination meter to the ODO trip.
2. Press and hold the TRIP meter reset knob for ten seconds or more within six seconds of turning the ignition switch to the ON position. Fastening the driver's seat belt while holding the knob cancels the buzzer reminder. (You may have to hit the reset meter knob to cycle through b-ON to b-OFF)
3. When this occurs, the LCD displays "b-OFF". The buzzer reminder can be switched between ON and OFF each time the TRIP meter knob is pressed. The LCD displays "b-ON" or "b-OFF" according to the buzzer reminder ON/OFF status. The display changes to the ODO or trip meter if the knob is not pressed in 10 seconds.
4) Performing steps 1) and 2) again when the buzzer reminder is off exits cancel mode.
I was able to disable the seat buzzer and took a drive. IT WORKs! I am so relieved.
