Avalon 2005-12 :: 2010 - Start Up Rattle After Oil Change

I changed the oil and filter in my new to me 2010 Avalon with Mobil One 5W-30 and OEM Toyota oil filter.
Prior to oil change was M1 5w-30 oil with a Service Champ oil filter.
Prior to oil change the oil light went off almost Instantly and there with almost no start up rattle.
After oil change the light oil light goes off much slower...say 2-3 seconds and there is engine rattle for approx. 2 - 3 seconds.

So I had my rear bumper removed and repainted..since then it has developed a rattle on certain lights bumps on the road.

So finally my wife traded in her vw for a Toyota. We found a 06 Avalon limited with only 68k. It's loaded to the gills with options and we have found only one thing that doesn't work, the back glass power sliding shade. Possibly coincidentally possibly not we have an annoying rattle from the rear when we go over bumps. Is the rattle coming from the non working shade? How do I fix it?

I have a 2005 Limited and whenever I roll any of the windows down it does a quick rattle vibration like its trying to pull away from something that's sticking then it continues to roll. It would be 1 thing of it was just 1 window however its all 4 windows. I thought originally thought maybe some of the rubber molding I seen on the windows, (maybe from the days it was hot over the course of years) were the reason and wiped all the black stuff off the windows with goop. Didn't work. I didn't realize how bad it was until I moved my old 2001 Avalon I'm selling and they rolled down so smooth..

I have an 06 Limited. The headlights have an auto feature so that they turn on in the night time. Well, how to change the sensitivity of the light sensor? Its always dark and cloudy where i live so i almost always want my lights on, but its not dark enough for the sensor. I know i can take it into the dealership to have it adjusted, but im curious to know how it is done. Also on a side note, is there a way to easily mute the audio from the steering wheel? it turns down the volume quite slow when holding the button down.

My 2012 Avalon developed a slight rattle at 9000 miles that continued to get worse. I took off the right front wheel today and found the top caliper bolt partially loosened. I could turn it with my FINGERS! The other one was tight as were the ones on the left side.
To diagnose this rattle, find a bumpy road that makes it rattle. Put your foot lightly on the brake (to load the caliper). If the noise goes away, it is probably a loose caliper bolt.

It's a metal on metal rattle sound when I'm going slower speeds and paved residential streets that are a little rough. passenger front is where it seems to be coming from. I can almost know when it's going to do it when I'm coming up on a rough spot on the road. super frustrating. Started noticing if after my mechanic replaced both front springs when my driver side spring broke. Took it back to him and he couldn't hear it and made sure everything was tight. What it could be. Thought maybe stabalizer link but not sure how to tell if it's bad.

Over the last 6 months I've developed a rattle in the rear (possibly right side) that has become louder over time. During the summer months I crawled underneath to see if anything was loose but nothing obvious. Since it's winter now with several inches of snow I don't have any desire to go underneath again.
I'll assume it's not safety related but I did check the exhaust and or any shield and all seems tight.

The driver-side nozzle on our Avalon is clogged but the passenger works great.
We have tried wires, needles and spray air cans but to no effect.
I want to remove the nozzle from under the hood (it is not on top) but do not want to break it.
How to do that?

Seems like since I did the first oil filter change it seemed very hard to get off oil filter. Today I did about the 5th filter change and it was harder than the last time. Thought i was going to break something. I do snug it up so there is no gap between the engine block and top of filter canister. Should I back it off a turn or 2 and check for leaks, maybe that is what that retainer clip is for near the top of the filter canister to stop it from coming undone so you don't have to snug it up?

Like a dummy I left my 2011 in drive overnight and didn't go out to drive it until this afternoon. It wouldn't start. Tried to jump it with a Camry and still would not start, but inside lights did come on. Do you think it's the battery? Should my next move be to get a car battery charger and try to charge it? Battery looks new. Car is less than a month old.

When ignition is turned on the front defrost light blinks fo 30 second before the climate control screen initializes. Then the temp defaults to 75 degrees instead of the last teperatue / mode selected. Only dash vents blow regardless of mode selection. Dealer report was inoperative servo motor. my inspection, visual was that all three servo motors power and move to default position when battery power is restored. It seems that the command to the center servo motor is not correct.

I went to start my new to me '11, and noticed head-or-fog-lights were on when the car was cranking to start. I checked and yes I'd left the light switch on, and yes the car had shut them off correctly - but will it also turn them on and then start the car ? Seems like a needless strain on the battery .

I noticed for the last couple weeks, my wife's 05 Limited has developed some kind of buzzing sound around the dash on start up.
In the morning, once I get in and press engine start, there is a buzzing, d...zzz..d....d..zzz.zzz.... noise coming from the dash area. I turned the car off and restart, it went away. It happened once a while. This morning, same noise, I kept on driving, probably after 30 sec, it stopped..

Went to start my '11 - -maybe still w/ original battery...made a chatter noise and now no crank - -no start. Is this the battery dead ? I'd even guess maybe the starter's stuck ? I've got it on a slow charge... I had the ' Maint Req.' lite on- - thought it was for an oil change ?

I replaced an alternator pulley on my 06 Avalon. Everything was put together and it wouldn't start now. I got DTC P0335 "Crankshaft Position Sensor". I checked all the connectors and they were connected, no broken fuses. It didn't have spark either. I remembered that I forgot to disconnect the battery when I removed the alternator and it got zapped a couple of times. Could this fry the ECM or short out circuit?

I have a 2011 Avalon and only 7000 miles on it. For the past month or two I've been getting a weird smell from the AC. Never got that smell when I first got the car. Smelt perfectly fine like a brand new car until now. I don't know how to describe the smell, but I know it isn't the smell of a dead animal. When I first start my car after it has been sitting for awhile, lets say over night, the smell is evident for the first 10 seconds. After those ten seconds the smell goes away and I don't really smell much of it. The smell is there but you can barely smell it. However, whenever I turn the "AC" button off but leave the fan running, the smell becomes very evident and it doesn't go away.
I've tried checking the filter. The filter was perfectly fine. It was clean with a little area of black on it which i believe is normal. Also the smell that I smelt wasn't in the filter. Another question is, is the filter facing upward suppose to be collecting the pollen and junk? Or it is suppose to be collected from the bottom? I might have replaced the filter the wrong way.

I have a 2007 Limited and the remote start function does not want to work. I press the correct sequence on the key fob and I hear a click but no "starter" activity.
