I was messing with the drivers seat trying to fine tune it for comfort when I noticed the power lumbar rocker switch doesn't do anything. I looked at the glovebox manual for seat fuses and came up confused - everything else but what I was looking for...where is the lumbar fuse, or any seat fuses for that matter?

View 3 RepliesI had a remote started installed by the dealer when I purchases my 2014 Avalon Limited.
I was disappointed with the location of the antenna. They installed it on the left side of the windshield (passenger side) about 2-3 inches from the top of the windshield. It is in clear view of the driver while driving and is quite unsightly. In past experienced, I have always seen it installed behind the rear view mirror so it is out of sight, but when I questioned the dealer about the location, they said they cannot install it behind the mirror because of the Black dotted area (antenna?) would interfere with transmission.
I am curious if others have had the antenna installed in the same location or in another, less visible area. I am trying to decide if I want to push the issue further with the dealer.
I have a 2006 Avalon and I accidentally touch two wires on one of the DRL lights and it blew out I changed the bulb and still nothing, which fuse operates them? I check the owners manual and did see any fuse that runs the DRL.
View 8 RepliesI have an 08 avalon w/ 281k miles. NEED to replace the transmission speed sensor (P0500 code thrown). Where is it located on the trans and what is the part #? I'm thinking about servicing the trans while I'm there but looks like a lot of "comments" regarding this transmission and the problems with servicing it!?

View 1 RepliesI have a 2008 Touring with the HID headlights and auto leveling which appears to be standard. My issue is that the passenger side mainly, although it does happen to the driver side sometimes, will go out. I have replaced both bulbs which did not solve the problem. I have noticed that it seems to be exacerbated by the auto leveling mechanism. For instance when I accelerate past quarter throttle or go up a hill, that's when the passenger side one decides to turn off. I can turn the headlights on and off and that will reengage the headlights, but when I get to a situation where I'm accelerating or going up the hill the passenger side headlight will go out. 90 percent of the time it happens to the passenger side, although I've seen it happen to the driver side. I'm convinced that it is induced by the auto leveling feature.
View 6 RepliesMy 2008 XLS has 172,000kms on it and has been having a vibration problem. Specifically, the gas pedal vibrates and the whole car shudders when it is between 55-80 km/h and in 6th gear. The shudder/vibration occurs when the car has to drop a gear to accelerate. After it downshifts, the vibration is gone. It has been happening for the past few months. The vibration did go away for a while after I changed the brakes. So, not sure what could be going on there!

View 4 RepliesI have the annoying "clicking noise" with my certified used 2008 Avalon XLS. It only occurs after the car has been sleeping overnight or after five hours or so of not the running. So this is normal according to two dealers and that I need to watch it but it isn't an issue- normal. Still, it does not leave me feeling good about it. The car has 56k miles and it is smooth, quiet and responsive, just that "ticking". It does go away after 15 minutes or so of driving. They told me why it's happening and I found some answers here, on the forum.
My question is- will it get worse? Will Toyota only address it when the "ticking" gets loud and does not go away and I'm pushing smoke from the tail pipes?
I've been reading up on the LSC 90K recall with the defective VVT-i oil line. How can I find out if my Avalon has had the oil line replaced? Just a bit confused about if any records should exist for this and where I can find out.
The green light comes on but the cruise control does not engage. It did work one time the other day but usually doesn't. What should I check?
View 2 RepliesJust purchased a used 2008 Avalon from my uncle. The car hasn't been driven much the past few years. I'm driving across country right now from Chicago to Seattle. We are about half way through the trip and I notice that the engine has what appears to be water dripping out near the center of it. I have checked the fluid levels and everything appears to be normal. The coolient is full. I have read that it could be the AC dripping water, however, it is a relatively cool day 45 degrees F at the moment and we just had the heat on in the car. Is this something I should be concerned about?

He said some of those LED brake light needs to be reprogrammed after installation at the dealership but he is not sure until he get it installed. Does the LED assembly needs to be programmed after installation?
