A friend of mine slammed my passenger door with the window down and we heard a snap, and it stopped rolling up. I took him home and the next day I went to my friend that is somewhat experienced with cars and we took apart my door panel, and found these 2 objects just broken off at the bottom of the panel. What are these and where can I purchase them?

Last time i dug into a door frame it was a gear type system, got the window jammed up with a piece of wood till the weekend....

View 11 RepliesI have a 2006 f150 extended cab and the rear passenger window stopped rolling up one day. I ordered a replacement regulator and installed it. It still doesn't work and I tested then switch in the door and it seems to be working still. The window itself does not seem to be caught on anything either.
View 16 RepliesI have a problem with my 2002 Ford Ranger XLT Super Cab's passenger window. It seems like it has a loose connection, but I am not sure what the exact problem is. When I try to move the passenger window from the driver side control panel, nothing happens. The driver side window works fine. On the passenger side control panel, I can hear the motor trying to move the window when I try to put it up (the window is already up).
When I try to put it down, I hear nothing unless I push the button repeatedly - anywhere from 3 to 20 times. When the window is partially down, moving up always works, but I have to keep trying to push the button to make it go down. I have tried pushing down on the window while I press the down button and spraying white lithium grease in the window tracks while the window was down, as well as pulling part of the seal away from the window while I tried to make it go down.
Rolling up windows last night and all my windows go up except for drivers side. I can hear the motor so that's not the problem, I believe the window got taken out of its 'tracks' and is loose in the door. I can hear it moving around in there when I am driving and opening and closing the door. I am trying to be very fragile with it, how to take the door off so I can see the interior of that door.
View 8 RepliesI'm working on my little brother's 2006 F-150 FX400 Crew Cab. Last night he lowered the front passenger half way down to talk to a friend. He then tried to put the window back up. The window very slowly went up 3/4 of the way then stopped, slowly started to lower, then dropped down into the door. He was only using the window switch on the driver's door and it was raining at the time. I saw a lot of issues posted about window regulators and motors but none that matched this.

View 5 RepliesI have a 06 f-150 crewcab and the driverside front window is having a hard time rolling up. It goes down fine, but getting it back up you have to play with the switch for a while and then it will roll up. Having this issue? Is it the switch or the window motor?
View 5 RepliesWhen I close the passenger door with the window down the glass of the window makes a noise like it is hitting metal. The noise is the loudest when the window is all the way down and becomes less loud gradually the further the window is up when the door is closed. It does not make the noise at all when the window is all the way up.
Found a few websites that illustrates how to remove the door panel but that seems to give you access to the window motor not the window itself.
We just upgraded our Prius from Gen 3 to Gen 3....a 2012. Great ride, just drove it from SoCal on a Sierra Mtns road trip, a little hiking and snowboarding for our spring break. What we failed to notice upon purchase was a passenger door whose controls want work! The drivers door can lock the car and operate the passenger window and lock. However, the passenger door switch won't open or close the window, nor will it lock the door. All other doors and locks work normally.

I have a 2002 Trailblazer. Last week I noticed the passenger side front door's window was not working. I then noticed the power lock on the same door was not working and the same with the power mirror on the same door. I have not torn into it yet, any way that would speed up the diagnosis. I have to assume that since everything else is working properly, that there is some wiring harness connection problem in that door.
View 1 RepliesMy buddy just picked up a 2007 passat 2.0t. Upon bringing it home and locking it we noticed the horn didn't beep indicating an active alarm. I discovered the rear passenger door wasn't locking, and when opening it, even though the alarm was activated, the alarm didn't go off. The door unlock/lock switch as well as the window switch both aren't working. Can't open the window from the driver's door switch either.
I'm guessing it's probably something to do with the power to the door since it's completely unresponsive. Where would we be able to check if power is going to the door? Also, since the alarm doesn't go off when opened is there a sensor somewhere that says when the door is open and or locked?
I'm having some problems with the power windows and locks. The passenger side window only works when it wants to. The power lock on the same door will not lock unless I push it down. And the lights that are on the switches don't work.
View 4 RepliesSo today I detailed the car, as I am moving on to do the windows *(last thing). My rear right window started acting up.
1. I rolled it down to clean the top.
2. I clicked for it roll up and it did
3. 1/2 second later it rolls back down on its own all the way down *(well as far as they roll down on the back).
4. I click again once for it roll up and it does, but 1/2 second later rolls back down on its own.
So I walked over to driver side to use controls on that side and same thing kept happening. The only way to get it to stay up was to roll it up, and take the key out as soon as its up all the way. It kept doing it for some time, not sure what to do. I literally very lightly tapped on the rubber housing thats between the door jam and frame *(when you open the door) and window is now working fine.
I am about 150 miles of 36K
My driver side window problem escalates as it gets warmer within the cabin. I have replaced, and have been told that my window regulator and motor and clips are fine but NOW it is the main control switch/box that is connected to all window buttons within the driverside door itself. I was shown, that it is a black box that has the widow switched connected to it and my best chance is to replace it so the driver side window, the only window that does not go down, will work again.
View 1 Replies2001 GLS... Noticed the passenger front door window outer weather strip is loose at one end. Looks like a "tab" on the strip fits into a slot on the door panel. Since the tab is smaller that the slot, is there some kind of clip or something that holds the weatherstrip tab securely in the slot?

View 18 RepliesRecently my '02 drivers window quit going down. The motor and assembly will go down, but the window stays up.
I could lower the window carefully with my hands, and it would go back up like it should, but if I wanted to take it down again I would have to do it with my hands.
Now its at the point where the power assembly still works, but the window acts like its stuck if I try to take it down using my hands, and only goes about 1 inch then sticks. But it will go back to its 'home' position when I use the up button.
I thought this would be a minor inconvenience and I could tolerate it for awhile, but I never realised just how much I use that window.
So, what may have happened, and how to go about correcting it?
