View 5 RepliesI just bought a new 2010 Prius IV and noticed after a good rain that the front left headlight assembly was showing some moisture fogging inside the lens. None of the other light assemblies showed any moisture.
View 6 RepliesIt rained really hard yesterday. This evening I got in my car and the windows were all wet on the inside. While I believe some moisture is normal this was ridiculous. Where to check/look or what it could be. I checked the sunroof and under all the floor mats (not under the carpet; just mats)..
View 4 RepliesBoth of the headlights on my 2007 Accent 3-door have blistering of the chrome plastic inside the headlight. This started a year or so ago, I asked about it at the dealership, but I never got a call. At the time my life was pretty hectic and the dealership is about a 45 minute drive from my house. I asked about it at least one other time when I was there for service, someone was going to check on it, and again I heard nothing more.
View 6 RepliesI have a 12 day old Hyundai Accent 2012. I got the GL automatic transmission with a 1.4L engine.
I noticed a rattling sound inside the engine bay after a week of using the new ACCENT. It rattles when the engine is at medium effort. Usually i hear this kind of rattling sound with my 20 year old Mazda, but with a 12 day old car? WHAT?!
Got it serviced with Hyundai but they think it's the unleaded gasoline that's causing it, but they don't recommend using the high octane one. Talking with the technicians there, a lot of 2012 Accent owners already came back to the shop to complain about their rattling sound in the engine bay and i was not the worse sounding one.
I will record my rattling sound tonight by placing a small microphone inside the engine bay and post it youtube.
For some reason I am getting moisture inside my car. This has started to happen regularly, even when it is not raining. I have checked all of my weather stripping, all windows seal tight, all doors close tight. VW service can't find anything.
View 6 RepliesMy 2013 Accent seems to be shredding the front inside wheelwell liner. I have to get both of them replaced. I noticed this had already happened when I bought the car, but since I didn't hear any noise during the "spirited" test drive, I figured who cares?
I was wrong. They rub whenever I go over a slight bump. The tire size is OEM. I am assuming it's happening because they are already shredded and loose.
Is this a common problem with the Accent (of course, if it happens with aftermarket larger rims or tires I get it)...
A while back I noticed the rear window washer wasn't spraying much water onto the window, then found water inside the boot (trunk) and saw there was water dripping onto the parcel shelf when I operated the rear washer and wiper.
As the car was only 6 months old at that time I didn't go fiddling around with things, thought I'd best wait until the 15,000 km service was due, which was today.
When I brought it in for the service I told the Man it was leaking. At pick up time he said they didn't find any leaks so I put the washer and wiper on and after a few seconds there was water dripping inside the rear window. So the car went back in to the mechanics who took out the plastic stoplight lens and after a few minutes the Man said that the plastic around where the water comes out was cracked.
OK, well fix it then I said. He felt it was unlikely that Hyundai would consider this a warranty issue. He agreed there was no other damage around the area and that I couldn't have caused this by backing into anything but I would need to buy a whole new lens.
I get it every now and then in the mornings. Now I know I can just turn on my headlights and it goes away. But it's a brand new car.
I have xenons. Just wanted to see of this is common or not. Dealers solution was just that. Turn headlights on.
Refer the attached picture and its visible, that it has some moisture marks inside the display, its is there for long time more than 1 year, ( only on the left side block of the display). How to get rid of it?
View 4 RepliesI have a 2010 Subaru Forester and lately - it has on occasion had moisture on the inside of windshield - at the center and about 6 in. up and about 10 in wide. At first it was just moisture, but now has become something hard to wipe off with just my hand. The dealer has no clue. I had a bad heater core in a car years ago, could this be a similar problem.
View 10 RepliesI have a 2012 Prius 3 and just noticed yesterday that I have some condensation on the inside of my Taillights. It's been raining and cold around here lately but I park my car in the garage. You could see it in the pics below....
View 19 RepliesThis may be related to some posts I've studied but I'm still at a loss. My wife observed moisture inside one of the tail lights on her 2006 RX330. Upon further inspection, I noticed water standing in the lower section inside the outer cover over an inch high. After reviewing all of the posts about bugs in them, moisture in them, how to remove them, and whether the outside cover can be removed, I pulled it out looking for any cracks, etc to figure out how that much water is getting in since it hasn't been wet in over a week at least and no downpours, major things like a car wash...nothing. I'm still at a loss. I know that I could rotate it carefully 360 degrees without water escaping which meant the out cover was still sealed pretty good. I then rotated it to flat and the water poured out thru the electrical circuit board/bulb area. Could this be related to the same cause behind the headlight pseudo recall/replacement? Which way to go as I can find no signs of how the water got there.
View 2 RepliesI have had my '16 4 dr S for about a month now, and have had only one issue, well two if you count the fact that my LG G4 will not connect to AndroidAuto. Even when it is dry out and hasn't rained for days, both sides of my windows will be wet after rolling them down and back up. It is almost like the rubber seals act like sponges and coat the windows with water as the window passes through. It is not enough moisture to drip down the windows or cause a musty smell or anything, but it is aggravating.
View 10 RepliesI recently noticed both of my headlights had a little bit of moisture inside the lens. I'm not sure if it had to do with the HID installation. I remembered I had to make holes on the dust cap but I made sure I closed up the holes with electrical tape after I was done.
Recently (couple hours later) I went to check on the headlights, the passenger side lens seems like it evaporated but the driver side lens has a minor streak of moisture at the bottom. I took pix but i cant upload through my phone. I will post them up on Monday. The climate is constantly changing here in NYC because of the fall season.
Could it be the heat from the HID bulb and the humidity from outside?
Having issues regarding Moisture in the car... I have a 2014 Sonata SE and i live in Seattle and here most of the time is a rainy and my car is producing lot of moisture inside with in couple of minutes after drive or if i parked outside also. I am not Re-circulating the air and switching on the Air condition every time when ever fogged. But, today i have switched on the A/C for almost 5 minutes and put on Exhaust mode. Some how moisture is still inside the car. This problems i am seeing at the time of i bought the car. I have noticed most of cars are not fogged but do not know why the new Hyundai Sonata is pretty fogging.
View 19 RepliesI have my 13 GS with the left headlight moisture build up, I should had taken a picture of it before I took it to the dealer, so I dropped it off at Glendale Lexus and they saw it, so now they are telling me because I changed the bumper so the headlight leaked water in it, so to prove them wrong I had pictures taken when the bumper was changed and it was 2 years ago, so I took the pictures to the dealer and showed them when the bumper was changed and also up to date pictures with still no leaks in the headlight, and when you change the bumper cover you do not have to remove the headlights and now they say the car was in a accident, so I told them if it was why is everything original fenders and with Vin numbers on it and why should I bring it to you.
View 6 RepliesMy 2006 Passat has moisture in the passenger side headlight. Not sure how it got there, or how to get rid of it. The mechanic at the dealership said to drill a hole in the bottom of the light (but that sounds like a BAD idea).
How I can remove the moisture from this without replacing the entire headlight housing? I thought that maybe I could remove the bulb and use a hair dryer on low to try to evaporate the moisture.
My driver side front head light compartment continually has moisture inside of it. My question(s) are how does that happen, and is there a way to stop it without just replacing the entire unit? The head light works okay but figure that this can't be a good thing.
