I need to know the Location of the turn signal relay, my left front bilnker is super dim, and the rear left blinker is normal brightness as well as they blink rapidly. I've replaced both front and back bulbs as well as the flasher and turn signal fuses, so I am assuming the last and final one is the turn signal relay.
View 2 RepliesMy front left turn signal was hyper flashing. I replaced all four bulbs to no avail. Just to satisfy my curiosity I switched the bulb holder from left to right sides. The hyper flash followed to the right side. Turns out that the bulb holder shorted out. I had it replaced under warranty yesterday.
View 2 RepliesMy wife's '07 has that fast-blink thing going on with the left turn signal. The thing is, none of the bulbs are out. It does appear that the front ones are dimmer than the ones on the right (which work fine).

Where the turn signal relay is located? I want to change my stock turn signals to LED. However, I don't want to use those "load resistors" or "cancelers". iJDMtoy sells an LED relay for the 14' IS (confirmed). After looking through the manual and at all 3 fuse/relay locations I can't locate it.

Long story short, my truck's front turn signals and rear turn signals/tail lights won't work. I am thinking that the relay is burnt. Whenever I look in the manual I can't seem to find the location for this relay. Is is built into the flasher?
Also, I am just assuming because the rear turn signals and tail lights are the same bulb that fixing this should clear up both problems. Am I right in thinking that?
I have already checked all of the fuses. Also, the Hazards don't work either.
Noticed this the other day. While in drive, (didn't do it in park at first) activated the right hand signal. Noticeable buzz. Popped hood and sound appeared to be coming from engine fuse box. Took it to dealer and they have ordered a multi switch that apparently goes in the steering column so I guess the buzz in the fuse box is just a reaction to whatever is failing in the steering column.
On a side note. Took the 2012 elantra ltd in today because we noticed one of the original brake pads (front passenger outer) was a different dimension that the driver side. The pad material extended beyond the rotor braking surface and at ~40k the pad now has a noticeable knub extending on the inside part of the rotor in the groove between the shiny metal rotor and the studs.
Tech first said it was an aftermarket pad but we've never had service done to the brakes, only service at this dealer or at home. Later another tech apparently indicated this is a kia brake pad. How it got on the one side is a mystery! We have wheel locks. The car was bought new from this dealer but was a dealer trade so the only break in possession between the factory and us is the other dealer. Will be interested to see how Hyundai Canada or the district rep respond to this, but the dealer installed new pads (didn't turn the rotors) at their cost cuz they said they can't put it thru warranty.
I have searched the Owners Manual, forum and internet about this, but I can't come up with a solution. Perhaps I am not using the correct terminology. I also have an ALLDATA DIY subscription on this vehicle, but I could not find any instance of this occurring to be able to troubleshoot. I though that there might have been a light out somewhere.
View 2 RepliesI have a 2013 Accent and have installing driving lights. I am looking for the correct high beam wire on the driver's side on the headlight assembly. I will then run this to a relay so that when I turn on my highs, the driving lights will come on. I have tried to locate the correct wire but the one wire that is hot when the highs are on, is still hot when the car is off as well as the lights.
View 6 RepliesI recently purchased a 2001.5 Passat V6. The front left turning signal is not operating, I swapped the right with the left (with housing) and still the left portion is not working. Obviously the problem is not the bulb or bulb housing. Can it be fuse?

View 5 RepliesFor a little over a month now, the front left turn signal has gone out at least once a week. I have been continuing to buy new bulbs for it, and it would run for a few days, then quit on me again. Just today, it happened again, I replaced the bulb, but this time it still isn't working. Ive tried clearing some of the crud off of the inside of the socket, but nothing seems to be working, and now im down a turn signal.
View 1 RepliesMy left front turn signal stopped working. Rear turn and mirror light both work normally. Checked the socket and it is clean. Switched bulbs with right side to confirm. This one is driving me crazy and I don't want to spend a fortune at the stealer to fix it.
View 5 Replies2003 SCrew, 5.4, auto, 4x4.... Yesterday my left turn signal started flashing fast; checked and the front was not flashing. Picked up a new bulb, changed it, didn't fix anything.
I've tried:
-tilt wheel up/down in all settings-no change
-checked the wiring at the top of the column; still good and solid.
-swapped the bulbs left to right and vice versa-no change.
-swapped the sockets left to right and vice versa-no change.
Other info:
-the left front is the only one not flashing with hazards on.
-all original equipment, except I removed the stock side mirrors (w/signal) and installed manual trailer towing mirrors, but that was 2 or 3 years ago.
-the dash indicator light for left turn (arrow) does not come on at all.
-last trailer tow was over a month ago and all was good.
I ran out of daylight last night and at work now so I would like know which Fuse, Flasher, Relay, etc., I should check/replace and where to find them on the truck; under the hood (1st or 2nd stack of the fuse blocks); under the dash above the pedals; steering column???
My issue is i recently have put two different sets of front LED turn signals in my car and only after a day or so they blow out. When i pull out the bulbs they smell burnt. i do have LED turn signals in the rear as well they are plug and play with decoders no resistor required. For the front ones i did add 50W 6Ohm resistors on each side.
View 7 RepliesWe have a 2015 Sonata 2.4 Sport that has developed an intermittent turn signal problem. When the left turn signal is turned on, the right signal will blink. When the right signal is turned on, nothing blinks. A new symptom that recently started is sometimes neither turn signal will turn on regardless of the position of the turn signal stalk. I managed to get the car to dealer #1 while the LEFT=RIGHT & RIGHT=NOTHING issue was happening but while troubleshooting it, they ran across an inactivated aftermarket alarm system that dealer #2 that sold me the car had installed. I guess the alarm they install is so cheap, it's not even worth removing if they are unsuccessful in upselling you at the time of purchase.
Since dealer #1 would not troubleshoot any further unless the alarm was removed, I retrieved the car and took it back to the original dealer #2 I bought it from. They removed the alarm and the turn signals started working again, however, this lasted about 2 weeks before the symptoms returned. I booked an appointment at the dealer #1 to bring the car in & half way during the drive there, the turn signals started working again. With nothing to show them, I didn't drop off the car. Now the problem is back. Since it tends to come and go, I have try and time when I can drop the car off so it's happening when they get it.
I have a 72 F250. When I put the left turn signal on and apply the brakes, the signal stops blinking. I checked the bulb and it was fine. What is the likely cause?

View 10 RepliesMy left turn signal stopped working all together after months of toggling the hazards to get it to work. I attempted to solder the combination relay myself but bridged two contacts together. I guess I didn't do a good job separating them again cause when I plugged it back in, neither signal worked and it must have burnt out the #20 10a fuse cause the heater control had no power, neither did the heated seats. Also found the #26 15a fuse was blown too. But before I replaced the fuses I got a used combination relay I pulled from a jeep at a junk yard (free). Plugged that in (nothing changed) but then replaced the fuses. Heater control and heated seats came back, had hazards but no directionals. Took used relay out and heated that one up to reactivate the solder, plugged it back in and had a left signal but now no right. Tried to reflow the solder second time but still just the left. Dropped $58 on a new relay at the dealer, plugged that in but still no right signal!! I tried other fuses in those to spots I replaced, pulled everyone of the others and checked them, checked the fuses under the hood and still no right.
View 1 RepliesMy turn signal relay clicking and stuttering randomly. When turn or warning signal used it operates normally with absolutely no problem and sounds healthy. But when not used and supposed to be quite - it goes again. When stuttering - there is absolutely no indication other than clicking sound that something is wrong.
