We have a 2010 accent with the basic stock radio and we just put in a an aftermarket XM radio. The problem we have is that when you plug the XM unit into the 12volt power plug and hook the XM radio into the stock radio AUX plug you hear a loud whining noise thru the speakers.
View 3 RepliesMy wife has an 09 accent equipped with the 1.6 and 5spd manual. When it gets cold (close to freezing and under) fourth gear starts to make a whining/growling noise that gets louder with more load. Once it is warm it completely goes away. What is going on here?
View 1 RepliesI've had my 2006 V6 for a few months now and I've encountered a few annoying little problems that I would like more information on before I go to the dealer for my 5000 mile service...
1) Every time I start the car and pull out of the driveway there is a rather loud clicking noise. It sounds like the car is slipping into gear. There is no jolt or hesitation, and you can't feel anything, you just hear the noise. It happens when I go over about 10mph, just once, every time I start up.
2) At higher speeds when I start to accelerate say from 50 to 70 mph there is a high pitched whine. It is like the car is winding up before it takes off.
3) Sometimes there is a clicking noise coming from the dash board. Like an electronic clicking noise when you click on a link in a website. It clicks a dozen times and then stops.
4) One time the radio controls stopped working and the radio control panel started blinking on and off rapidly. After about three minutes everything returned to normal.
While playing the radio or a CD the unit will frequently generate a LOUD "pop" thru the speakers. It will repeat itself at various intervals which leads to my turning the unit off as it's most disturbing. I temporarily removed the negative battery cable but that didn't reset / correct it.
View 1 RepliesI have a problem and I'm not sure to start. I bought a 2006 Toyota Sienna two weeks ago the only known problem was the radio speakers would fade out after driving it for a while. I swapped it out for another radio and it didn’t make a difference now both sliding doors are also giving me a problem. At first the manual driver’s side door occasionally would not let us out using the interior handle almost as if the child safety lock is on and the exterior seems to require abnormal amount of force to open the handle. Now, this week the power passenger side sliding door started giving me a problem, the door was stuck in the open position and when we went to close it, would only move half an inch so we push it manually. Ever since then the buttons and Fob's only make the noise then are unable to move it any further either open or closing unless I use the handle and now since yesterday the interior handle on the power door is working intermittently as well. I spoke to the previous owner and he said the rear doors were not having an issue that he knew of I’m wondering if the radio and doors could share something in common that could explain both.

View 7 RepliesI have a 2014 f250 with the my ford touch radio. In February I had to have the audio control module replaced because it was shorting out internally. Since then I've had a crackling noise in my speakers when the radio is turned up over half way. I'm about to drop it off at the dealer for the 3rd time and I'm going crazy!

View 7 RepliesMy Accent makes a really bad whining noise whenever I give it any gas, so I took it to the dealership. The tech who looked at it confirmed my suspicions and said he thinks it is something with the transmission. I have the 6mt. He said the head technician will look at it tomorrow and determine if it needs a rebuild... I am just hoping they don't pull some crap and say I damaged it with my driving (because it is the manual trans and that seems like the kind of thing a dealer would say) and say it won't be covered under warranty.
View 13 RepliesI got in my car today and realized it was making a whining noise, kinda like the whine of a super charger, I don't hear it at idle but when I accelerate or rev it in neutral it gets louder and higher pitched. Friend had this problem in his Mercedes and he said it was a bad belt.

The noise is a buzzing/whining sound that lasts about 10-15 seconds and then stops. The noise sounds like it's an electronic component maybe having to do with the transmission? What it might be?
View 7 RepliesI have a 2005 accent with a 5 speed, it has about 80,000km on it.... mainly city driving. Lately, once the car is up to temp. as I pull away from a stop the car makes a loud noise and I really need to feather the clutch out. The noise continues after shifting into second gear ,but no other gears. Thus happens under normal acceleration. If I pull away extremely slow the noise isn't there. If I don't feather the clutch the car lurches like I'm just 'dumping' the clutch and driving like someone who is just learning to drive. Sometimes there is also a whining noise in second gear if I am accelerating at a normal pace. Where I should start looking? I am assuming it's the clutch due to the fact that it happens after everything warms up.
View 3 RepliesSo I had all of my belts changed including timing belt and tensioner pulley as well as an oil change. After, I noticed a weird pulsating grinding/wining noise coming from the engine bay. It only can be heard once the car is warmed up. (It is much louder in real life.).

My radio hasn't worked for over a year. I've gotten used to driving with my headphones on, but now I want to get to the bottom of the problem.
I have an 06 Accent. The radio powers on and I am able to flip stations and put a cd in and out. I just get no sound.
I tried checking the audio fuses. I can't check one of the fuses because its connected to the yellow memory fuse. I can't get the fuse out without breaking the plastic case. Is there a way to remove the fuse without breaking the case?
Another thing I just noticed is when I turn on the radio I hear a pop coming from the left rear speaker. I don't know what that means. How to get sound back.
So a few months ago my 2009 Camry all stock stereo stopped playing. (Been a while and I pulled the fuse so I don't remember if the head units face lit up)one morning I got in it and as soon as I cranked on the ignition all I hear was static from the speakers even though the radio was off. I looked it up on google back then & remember seeing a topic elsewhere were the person had the same exact issue and said one of the trunk torsion bars came loose & whacked something in trunk compartment that screwed up the stereo. I checked my trunk & sure enough, one of the bars had came loose on one side.

If you replace the radio head unit with an Aftermarket one, do you lose the Parking Sensor beeps....?
I have a 1999 Volkswagen Passat GLS. Bought it used just the other day with no radio in it. I put my after market Blaupunkt in it today and it took me seriously 5seconds. Instantly had sound, but it was only coming from the driver's side front and rear, but the volume was weak in the rear. I was going to look for the amp, but idk if it had the monsoon sound or not. Has 4 speakers and 4 tweeters, but i'm not sure if it's the Monsoon sound or Premium.
why my antenna is very weak as well? why I have weak/no sound output from my speakers, if I have premium or monsoon sound and why I have such a weak antenna and how to fix all of these things.
I have an annoying screeching sound when turning my 2011 Sonata right or left. When I shut off the radio to hear the noise better it goes away...is something causing interference with the radio?
View 10 RepliesSo as of last night my radio is not cooperating. I had the battery disconnected due to other work on the Ex and now I am having radio problems. When the key is turned the radio "buzzes", from the unit itself, not the speakers. It seems as though as soon as power is applied it is trying to eject a disc but no buttons are pressed. It lasts about 15 seconds and then stops. I also have CD error showing on the display. I have read the multitude of issues with the factory head unit but hoping I can fix it, maybe CD is just stuck?
