when i use the squirter for the water on the windscreen i get full pressure for a second then it drops to barely any pressure at all. I thought it was the jets so i checked them with a drawing pin and they flow fine. Are there 2 motors that operate the squirter , is it likely one has gone?

Had 2 coils go bad last week. Got them replaced. Today I am on the turnpike doing 70 and my oil light comes on and oil pressure drops all the way. No engine noises and temp is OK so I coast to the next exit. Get off and go to the gas station in the corner. Turn the truck off...
Wait a few minutes, when I go turn it back on it wont start. The motor wont even turn. It just clicks.
I notice smoke coming from the wire that goes from the starter relay to the starter so my brother comes and gets me and we go to the nearest auto part store and buy a new relay.
Replace it and try to start it, same thing. Just clicks and smoke. My brother gets under the truck and taps the starter as I try to start it, no go. I am fearing the engine locked up. But no engine noises, clicks or clacks or anything. Battery is fine as well. Any thoughts on what else I can try?
I have aftermarket wheels and the tire pressure sensors have been transferred over. Since I went from the stock 17" wheels to 20" wheels, I had to increase the tire pressure from 32 to about 38.
1) I'm assuming that since the pressure is now higher with the 20" wheels, the tire pressure sensor won't warn me unless it drops below a really low level (maybe somewhere around 28 psi). Is there any way I can set a higher threshold so that they come on at around 36 psi?
2) The tire shop that installed the wheels transferred over the sensor, but I'm not sure if they actually work since the warning light has ever came on. Do I need to take the car to the dealership for them to start working again?
Based on the my research, some people are saying that only the dealer can reset the TPS so they can start working again. Others are saying that I can reset it myself, but does this reset actually raise the threshold?
i have a 2010 hyundai accent base model with 84,000 miles, recently i fixed my misfire/P030X codes. worked fine for about a couple days then CEL P0420 code came on and performance dropped dramatically. Replaced both o2 sensors and erased codes, drove for about 50-60 miles no CEL but still bad performance. cant get over 60 MPH and sometimes drops down to maxing at 50 MPH. Looked down exhaust manifold with O2 sensor out and saw an intact honeycomb for the cat. What to try next.
View 7 RepliesJust want to share my issue in my Accent 2009 model. I changed my AC compressor 2 days ago. When I had the new compressor installed, at first it was running normally. But after maybe 2 or 3 hours, when I am starting the engine then turn on the AC, RPM becomes lower. Sometimes it turns off the engine. That's why I need to press on the gas several times so the engine wouldn't turn off. Even when I am running, when I go on slow speed then shift to gear number 2, the rpm drops to less than 1000, needs to press the gas several times to increase rpm to make the car run faster.
View 3 RepliesWhile driving today, 2006 Ford F-250 5.4 L V8 138,000 miles , I experienced a problem. Started with the truck acting as if it was running rough, possibly missing. This was approx. 10 Minutes after starting. Checked the dash, no warning indicators and all gauges were normal. Approx. 4 more miles, the oil pressure alarm signals and I see the oil gauge has dropped to zero. I pull over, turn off and check the oil. Oil is clean and at a normal level. I restart the truck and the oil pressure goes back to normal.
Rev the truck up while sitting there and after a few seconds i hear a knocking noise in the engine and oil pressure drops again. Call the tow truck, driver used to be a mechanic . He asks me to start it again and the same thing happens. If you start it and let it idle oil pressure seems to go up to normal with no engine noise. Finally get to the mechanic and he calls me later saying the oil pump and screen may need to be replaced or the engine may need to be replaced.
I have one Hyundai Accent 1.4 from 2006 gasoline with 61.000 km. I have a strange problem. Sometimes the engine car stop while driving. This problem appear when i change from 5 to 4 or from 4 to 3 with ac on. Without ac the problem not appear. If i try to start engine again he start without problem. No error storage in ECU. I replace gasoline pump but the problem appear again.
View 2 RepliesI noticed today, when I opened the hood, that there is water condensation on the air conditioning pipes when the A/C is on. When it's fully on there is enough sweat on the pipes, and water starts dripping.
I added two images. In the first one you can see the water condensates on the two ends of the pipe with the white cap. In the second image, while it's not so clear, there is another pipe a bit deeper that also sweats.
Is this normal or not? Never noticed it.
I got a 2008 accent hatch basic model. Its got the 1.6 motor with 23k miles. It will not start at the moment. Battery is good, I am getting fuel. It is not getting spark, and my scanner wont link up to it. I don't know what else to trouble shoot. I am out of warranty car is a salvage title,car ran fine until today. I am thinking the ecu fried but I don't know? All fuses good. What can i check or how do I troubleshoot?
View 6 RepliesGot a 2008 Hyundai Accent. Yesterday, the blower motor just stopped working. I had just started it up, the heater came on for about five seconds. There was no noise, no funny smell, nobody had done anything to it. It just stopped. I checked the ac fuse and it looked fine. I looked in the fuse box under the hood, and I'd like to check the fusible link for the blower motor to see if it has a problem. Is this something I could do and how? Also is there anything else I can do to diagnose the cause of the problem?

I stop the engine of my car and i turn it on again and everything is ok. Is any solution or i must change the whole steering system as Hyundai said?
View 2 RepliesIn the process of rebuilding a 2007 Accent where the timing belt broke while idling.
Pulled the head, ran a "water test" on the valves (put spark plug in, pour water on the valves and see if it comes out the exhaust/intake side) and found that only 2 intake valves were belt. Also shut off all the lights in a pitch black room, shined a flashlight in the intake/exhaust and didn't see any light leak from any of the cylinders except the one with the 2 bent valves.
Does this make sense? I would assume since 2 cylinders are always TDC at once, at least 4 valves would be bent.
Lastly, before rebuild I'll be replacing the 2 intake valves, all the valve stem seals, intake manifold gasket, exhaust manifold gasket, head gasket, head bolts and valve cover gasket. Anything else I should replace on the head? Trying to keep costs down as much as possible.
To add: Pistons have no damage on them, there are no marks of the valves hitting the pistons. The timing belt was replaced after it broke and the engine still ran however it ran rough. Compression test was done on only cylinder 1&2, 1 had 60 PSI and 2 had 0 PSI. Compression test was also done by just rotating the crank with a socket since I already had some of the engine disassembled.
A friend of mine has a 2007 Accent with some scary MDPS issues. Basically it randomly freezes the steering wheel without a warning making it extremely hard to drive. He went to the dealership and since the car is without warranty they'll charge him 1200$ for repair. Is there any recall on these models for this MDPS?

The tires themselves state Max Pressure 44lbs. I checked, and each had around 28 lbs. So I inflated up to 44 lbs (all tires). The light is still on.
Do I likely have a bad sensor? Can a tire sales place check that for me or do I need to take it to Hyundai?
I have a 2007 Accent with 119K on it.
I wanted to replace the water pump and I was wondering if this can be replaced without removing the timing belt or the lower timing belt cover?
Had new tires put on yesterday and today my TPMS light came on. I guess one of the sensors came loose as I can hear it rattling around in the LR tire.
My question is do I have to replace all four sensors or can I just replace the one?

I have an 08 Accent hatchback, no sunroof. I am having water soaking the passenger floor board and getting into the heater fan. If I park on a side hill it actually drips out of the bottom of the fan motor, and you can hear it being sprayed inside it when going around a corner. Checked the windshield - seal is good, took off the cowling under it and everything was dry - including the filter for the fresh air, so it doesn't appear to be coming down through there. I even poured about 8 gallons of water down the windshield and into the run-off channel at the bottom of the windshield and nothing seemed to get into the fan or leak into car, however, by the time I drove it home 4 hours later, it was in the fan again. Is there some other way to for it to getting to the fan? It's not coming from the door side, as it is usually dry on that side when it first starts getting wet, but rather it stars from the left of the passenger foot well.
