We just bought my Daughter a low mileage 2007 Hatchback Accent and I noticed the water temp light on the dash stays on for about 4 to 5 minutes after you crank the car up. Is this normal for this model? It is not low of water.

Where to begin solving for this problem.
It happened randomly on the way home from work, the car chugged along with the check engine light flashing at me and then staying on. I was able to limp it home and got a ride to the nearest auto parts store to get some new plugs. I went with the NGK brand. Well, $60 later (including tools on the spot) and it's still running rough.
I know best case it to try and limp it to the autoparts store to let them try and pull the codes. I noticed an old thread where updates were made to the software to correct a running issue. I will note this same chugging randomly happened at 50,000 miles. I shut the car off, let it sit for a moment, restarted and it ran just fine. The engine vibrates noticeably just like it did at 50,000.
2009 Accent running rough 73,000 miles....
After the car has sat for awhile 1-2 hours, when I start it back up the engine coolant temp light comes on and remains on for 1-3 minutes. This happens regardless of the ambient temp outside. It can be 40 degrees up to 80 and it will still come on. This started a few months ago, I have drained and flushed the cooling system, and wondering id this may be an indication that my thermostat is faulty and needs to be changed.

Having issues with moisture, or water, in the high brake light, in the spoiler? It appears to be an LED type light. It is still working but, I'm afraid it may short out eventually. It also appears to be fragile! Its an '08 Accent.

View 1 RepliesI have a 2006 Accent and recently the interior lights have gone dim and the switch to adjust them does not make them brighter nor dimmer, why this has happened? I don't usually have it on the brightest but not the lowest either and now it seems to stay on the lowest setting.

View 3 RepliesI have an 06 phaeton v8. just this week, the engine performance seems perfect, but the water temp now approaches the red line, not quite but very close and the oil temp goes over the 200 mark up to 240. this happens in cold weather. so i drive slow. if i go up a hill, the temp really goes up. only in idle and going down hill will the water temp drop back to 200. I opened the blue cap in the engine compartment when the engine was cold. it looked like "brownish fluid " but it was or appeared filled.

When I pull my travel trailer (approx. 5000 lbs), the water temp stays 1/2 guage and the tranny temp is 170-190, however, on steep hills the water temp guage goes 2/3 to 3/4 guage for a short time and the tranny temp reaches 200-210 degrees. Is the elevated water and tranny temps okay or should I try to reduce them back to the normal range. What is the max temp I should keep the tranny at?

View 3 RepliesI noticed today, when I opened the hood, that there is water condensation on the air conditioning pipes when the A/C is on. When it's fully on there is enough sweat on the pipes, and water starts dripping.
I added two images. In the first one you can see the water condensates on the two ends of the pipe with the white cap. In the second image, while it's not so clear, there is another pipe a bit deeper that also sweats.
Is this normal or not? Never noticed it.
I have a 2007 sonata gls with 2.4l engine. The airbag light on instrument panel stays on. A code b1102 has been stored. The code description is low voltage. I've been told its a bad srs module under center console.

I wanted to replace the water pump and I was wondering if this can be replaced without removing the timing belt or the lower timing belt cover?
when i use the squirter for the water on the windscreen i get full pressure for a second then it drops to barely any pressure at all. I thought it was the jets so i checked them with a drawing pin and they flow fine. Are there 2 motors that operate the squirter , is it likely one has gone?

View 2 RepliesAlright so noticed the other day that my temp gauge was staying pinned at cold. every once in a while it will jump up to the normal range but not for more than a few seconds to a minute before it drops back to cold. I just bought the car so I've still got a warranty from the dealer and im fairly convinced that I don't have to bee too concerned with it over heating because when the gauge DOES register its saying normal. just thought id ask here before i drive the 2 hours back to where i bought the car.
View 11 RepliesI have an 08 Accent hatchback, no sunroof. I am having water soaking the passenger floor board and getting into the heater fan. If I park on a side hill it actually drips out of the bottom of the fan motor, and you can hear it being sprayed inside it when going around a corner. Checked the windshield - seal is good, took off the cowling under it and everything was dry - including the filter for the fresh air, so it doesn't appear to be coming down through there. I even poured about 8 gallons of water down the windshield and into the run-off channel at the bottom of the windshield and nothing seemed to get into the fan or leak into car, however, by the time I drove it home 4 hours later, it was in the fan again. Is there some other way to for it to getting to the fan? It's not coming from the door side, as it is usually dry on that side when it first starts getting wet, but rather it stars from the left of the passenger foot well.
