Last night the passenger side headlight did not come on low, but when i switched to high beam it came on. It goes out only on low beam. The driver side headlight works both high and low. Is there a fuse for passenger side low beam? I wiggled the wires and connector to the bulb itself with no luck.

The plastic at the top fitting for the connector to the bulb is melted took connector off to check voltages at the three pins and have 12v on each pin( i don't think this is correct sounds like they are shorted out) , on the drivers side headlight top pin has about 2.3 v( for high beam) right side pin has 12v ( low beam) and left side pin 0 v( ground)
Also with the car off and parking brake off headlights do not come on only daytime running lights. Shouldnt headlights work on low and high beam with car off. All fine with car running.
What is the correct voltages for headlight connectors and if the headlights should work with car off.
My 2006 Prius (Model NHW20) has a strange headlight problem. On the passenger side, the high beam light is out but the regular headlight works.
On the driver side, the high beam is working but the regular headlight is out.
I don't think it's the fuses but I'm not sure. No amount of interchanging the following fuses changes anything about the issue:
1. 10A H-LP HI RH
2. 10A H-LP HI LH
3. 15A H-LP LO RH
4. 15A H-LP LO LH
My driver side headlight is dim but not out. Passenger side is normal. Ive checked under dash fuses but maybe not the correct ones? These are brand new bulbs. I replaced them because my driver side went completely out with my hid set up.
View 6 RepliesMy 2006 Passat has moisture in the passenger side headlight. Not sure how it got there, or how to get rid of it. The mechanic at the dealership said to drill a hole in the bottom of the light (but that sounds like a BAD idea).
How I can remove the moisture from this without replacing the entire headlight housing? I thought that maybe I could remove the bulb and use a hair dryer on low to try to evaporate the moisture.
Lately I noticed that my headlight beams are crossed between passenger and driver side....
When I start up the car, the headlights move down and up for the initializing... all seems fine... While I backing my car out of the garage, I notice that my light beam start to drift closer to each other as I back out further and then finally crossed... the beam from my passenger headlight ended up on the driver side.... and the beam from my driver headlight ended up on the passenger side.
My AFS lamps are working and initializing when the car turn on.
I have a 2006 Prius that I purchased with no upgrade on the headlights. There was an upgrade available for high intensity lights, but, I didn't get them. The low beam on the passenger side headlight just stopped working. Two questions:
1. I was just told by the Toyota dealership that to replace the headlight, the entire front end of the car would need to be dropped. They just told me that with them supplying the bulbs, the cost would be about $250 plus tax. If I supply the bulbs, only about $200 plus tax. My owners manual indicates that this is a do-it-yourself project. Is this true or is the dealership trying to make money off of me?
2. When I do replace the lights, I would like to put in something that would put out more light than what I have now. I have been told to be careful because many replacement lights throw off so much heat that the housing around the bulb could melt. Also, I have read that some of these replacement bulbs have a very short working lifetime of 1-2 years. Obviously, I would want to keep away from them.
2006 F250 and my passenger light was out. I thought it was a bad bulb and I wanted to upgrade anyway so I bought some Slyvania Ultra headlights. Pulled out the old bulb and it didn't appear to be broken, but I installed the new upgraded lights anyway. Still not coming on. I tried the hi beams and still nothing. Got an electrical probe to test the wires and still no juice. Where the wires run to so I can try to find the break in the line? I'm assuming there is not a seperate fuse for the passenger side...On a side note when I went hunting a few weeks ago I had some kind of animal make a nest under the hood, its possible a mouse/rat/squirrel ate my headlight wire, but the nest was in the top center of the engine by the turbo and oil filter.
View 6 RepliesI've got some front end noise in my 09 accent gls. Its the passenger side when it goes over bumps. I've seen online it may be the sway bar end linkage? I don't have air tools or do too much work myself, I just do the typical stuff on my own, oil changes, brake replacement, stuff like that...how hard is this job?

I tried both, the button on the driver side, and the one on the passenger side, and I get the same result. I also tried pulling on the door to give it more space, so it's not that it has too much pressure on it from the door. My car only has 27,000 miles on it, so the motor shouldn't be going out already. But I guess it's possible.
I'm pretty sure it's always been slower than the driver side window, but between today and yesterday, I noticed it's been getting dramatically slower every time I use it. I'm kinda' afraid to push the button to take it down now.
My driver side is higher than the passenger, how do you adjust the headlights?
View 5 RepliesMy 2009 Accent (hatch) has for some time now made a very noticeable clunking sound from the rear passenger side when going over rough roads (minor bumps). I sat in the back at one point and it is definitely coming from the area of the shock and not from the trunk. It has persisted through all temperatures and seems worse now (February in New England). I found a lot of conversation of this issue related to Elantras, but not so much for Accents. My spouse thinks it is the shock dust cover rattling, and in fact you can make it rattle, but I'm not convinced that it could make that much of a clunk - it's just what looks like a thin plastic.

View 6 RepliesTwo months ago I walked out to my car as it was remote started and realized the driver side headlight was out. With a quick tap to the lens it was fixed with no further problems to date. As of yesterday my passenger side headlight and side marker went out. The first thing I tried was the tap method which only brought the sidemarker back to life. Could it be the bulb or a worse problem. I am not sure if its just the bulb seeing that the side marker is going off and on.
View 2 RepliesI dropped off my 2012 Passat to the dealer this morning because the driver's DRL was out and the passenger headlight was out. Normally I'd change bulbs myself and be on my way but since this is new and under warranty, I let them do the work.
Anyway, fixed the DRL (bad bulb). But the passenger headlight assembly needs replacing. Seems I have fallen victim to a melted housing causing a failure. I've read about the situation somewhere here on the forums and suspected it might be the case. So VW is 2-3 days out on getting a new part and I'm in a loaner for the time being.
I'm guessing this happens a lot with this part. I wonder if VW will issue a recall in the future.
I have a 2007 VW Passat Wolfsburg Edition. The passenger side headlight went out today. This is my first VW, but I've never had a headlight go out this early. A few questions:
1) Is this normal?
2) How much is a new bulb?
3) Can I replace it myself or should I go to the dealer?
The other day my passenger headlight went out. Today I went to replace it, after much frustration I pulled the bumper and the headlights. I first tried swapping ignitors to see if that was the issue. I went to switch the ballast and now nothing is working except for the passenger high beam. I made an apportionment with the steelership. But I wanted to see if there was anything I maybe able to do to avoid this.

View 1 RepliesThe passenger side headlight of my fiance's 2007 Prius keeps going out intermittently. It's a touring model with HID's. I replaced the bulb already and the problem persists. I searched and found that there is a TSB about it [URL]...................... It sounds like it's either the bulb (which I replaced), the wiring, or the HID ECU.
