View 4 RepliesI cannot find the location of the knock sensor in my 2012 Accent. I just replaced the radiator and had everything off up front unobstructed and couldn't find it. Looked in back, sides, but am completely stumped. I have found information on earlier models but not 2012+.

View 4 RepliesI have a 2009 Hyundai accent. 2 cylinders misfire. I changed out the spark plugs after the misfiring began and the 2 cylinders that misfire don't follow any specific ignition coil, it's just 2 random ones.
Looking at the data with a reader points to fuel injector number 1 not working properly. The first few seconds the car is on the check engine light blinks and fuel injector 1 spray duration (fluctuates based on gas applied) changes just like all the others. However, when the check engine light goes solid (then the misfire code is thrown) fuel injector 1's spray duration is stuck (usually around 3.5 ms)
The cable going into the fuel injector powers those little troubleshooting lights like it should until you plug the cable into the fuel injector OR remove and replace the light a few times.
I don't know much about cars but someone told me to try cleaning out the Mass AirFlow sensor as they had the problem above and the MAF sensor was the cause. I can't find anything on where the MAF sensor is located though.
Where the ECT sensor is located? I would really like to have a diagram of the engine. Where I can find an engine diagram for a 2008 accent gls?

View 2 Replies2012 Hyundai Accent. I am getting a po326 code. Wondering if it may be a faulty knock sensor. And po463 fuel level sensor code when I fill up with gas.
View 2 RepliesI have a 2012 hyundai accent. The check engine light came on. The code read knock sensor. Before I could get it into a shop, it went off. It didn't come back for 11 months. When it did come back, the same code was read. Again, it went off the following day before it could be looked at and hasn't been seen since. The shop says that even though there is a history code, it would be hard to diagnose since it isn't an active code. I noticed absolutely no difference in performance when the code was active. Both times it went on, the car was idling for several minutes with the ac on, and it came on as i accelerated onto a highway immediately afterwards. However, it has idled like that many other times without the light coming on as well.
View 11 RepliesI have upgraded my sound system in my car and sometimes i get a P0326 check engine light.
Now i was wondering if its possible that the Heavy bass ( 25/40 Hz, 1200 Watt RMS and 2500 watt Max) Subwoofers could cause the car to vibrate so much that it sets of the knock sensor?
I have read some things about it but i only found that several "Old" cars with OBDII would have this problem? Is that the same on this hyundai accent?
It only comes once in a while after long cruises and bumping.
Where the knocking sensor is located on a 2005 Accent. I am in need of finding it so that i can wire a controller into the signal wire?

View 1 RepliesI'm trying to locate the MAF sensor on my 2001 LC accent. I can see the air cleaner box, the tube which T's off to the surge tank, and then it goes straight into the throttle body. On the hmaservice website, it shows a MAF sensor between the air cleaner box and the surge tank (or "resonator"). I don't have that! There's concertina tube going straight from the throttle body to the air cleaner box (with T off). Am I just missing a part?? There don't *seem* to be any unused harness connectors lying idly around the place!
View 2 RepliesWife's car threw a p0711 code. It says temp sensor failure or whatever. I found the part on rockauto for 22 bucks but that's not the issue. I've tried searching about this and I seem to find some stuff about elantras and sonatas. I can't seem to find anything specific to a accent. I've read that it's inside the transmission which is fine I've changed valves before and such on old rwd transmissions. But some things I find say it's on the bottom and some say the side. Also wiring is mentioned pretty often with service bulletins.
View 28 RepliesI went to Jiffy Lube and got an oil change, fuel system cleaning and cabin air filter replacement & sanitizing. I drive an '09 Sonata with 112K miles. When the car came out, I pulled away and noticed that the airbag symbol on my dashboard was lit and the center console was flashing that my passenger did not buckle their seat belt (I didn't have a passenger or anything on the seat). I went back in and after they looked at it, they said they couldn't find anything that could've happened at anytime and was a "horrible coincidence."
Hyundai ran a diagnostic tests and one of the 4 things that came back was B1389 (in addition to B1516, B1324 and B1515). B1389 signifies "Oil Temperature Sensor Circuit Failure." If the guy changing the oil damaged this (does this even get touched on an oil change), could that have offset the sensors for the airbags?
I just don't see how they done the above listed work and coincidentally my airbags are all deactivated afterwards. I'm reading a lot of bad reviews online, including quite a few for NOT putting oil back in the engine after the change.
I just purchased a 2006 GS300 AWD w/115k. Started car on lunch hour to find check engine / check VSC lights on. Ran codes to find P0333 Knock Sensor code. Vehicle seem to run perfectly fine, but now that the light is on, it is definity spark knocking under acceleration. This is my first Lexus / Toyota product, so I am unfamiliar with the common problems or fixes. Are knock sensor replacements common?
View 6 RepliesI have a 2006 VW Jetta with 92K miles and just a couple of days ago my check engine late came on and when i took to an auto store to check the code, it came as P0332, Knock sensor 2 in bank 2 is faulty. Three things have happened all around the same time and I am not sure if they are related and are just coincidence.1.Check engine light came on.2. I have noticed after that, my car RPM has dropped, idles at about 600-700RPM and when trying to accelerate, it tops at 3000 RPM and feels like the motor cuts off at that point and I have to step off the gas and the car runs ok again, but cant go over 3000.
Had trouble getting on the interstate due to this and thought the car was going to stall, but it didn't. just had to back off the gas and let it run, It did go up to the speed that I wanted, but seems like it wont go past the 3000 RPM point.3. My fuel gauge, drops to empty when it reaches the half way mark on the meter. It stays at the correct level when I start and keep the car in idle, but when I start moving, it drops to empty. When I fill up the tank, it goes all the way to F, and after the car goes the usually of about 190-210 miles, when It reaches the half full level, the meter drops to zero, so have been using my trip odometer to drive after that.
Don't know the location of the MAP sensor for a 2008 Elantra 4-dr (HD)? I'm reading a DTC P1100, which indicates a manifold absolute pressure (MAP) sensor malfunction. The Haynes manual refers to this only being necessary for the previous model Elantra.
View 3 RepliesI have been getting a P0011 error code. Changed the OCV but the code continues. I'm going to try replacing the CMPS but am not quite sure of the location on the 2007 Sonata GLS. Looking for any pics of the location or a description?
View 1 RepliesWhere are the door sensors located?
The ones that turn the light and off when you open and close the doors.
It use to be switches on the old trucks and cars.
But on my 2006 F-250 I can find anything that seems to do that function, nor is anything mentioned in the repair manuel.
