I'm trying to get my tail lights open so I can paint the insides .. I used the heat gun and the oven and all I keep doing is chipping pieces off and making them look like crap! Are they not glued and just fused.. I don't understand..

View 4 RepliesTail and dash lights would go out unexpectedly, so I would turn light switch off and then back on and they would work. After about a week they stopped working all together...I checked all fuses related to the lights and dash as well as bulbs.
View 5 RepliesI currently noticed something today, that my euro LED taillights (HELLA smoked) are strobing when i start up my car, only the LEDs (Amber and the brake light). It strobes for a couple of seconds. know for a fact, that it never happened before. After the start up and the strobing for a couple of seconds everything gets back to normal. What could the problem be ?
View 15 RepliesI have a 2006 King Ranch and right tail and brake lights don't work. The bulb is good. The fuse diagram in the owners manual is not the fuse box I have, so I cannot id the correct fuse to see if its bad.
View 4 RepliesI cant open the hood on my accent. Pulling on the latch handle I can tell there is no pull. It is slack.
I tried pulling the cable with pliers but it didn't work. Pressing the hood latch under the hood does nothing, the hood is tight and wont budge.
My battery also just died last night.
Looking for a schematic on this truck,standard cab diesel. I have a dead short on exterior lamp fuse. I have no tail lights, running lights, door ajar light is also on.
View 4 RepliesOn my Hyundai Accent 2007 (3 door) I accidentally closed tail gate without pushing the outside handle off me, as the manual recommends. After that I am unable to open the tail gate, neither manually turning the key clockwise nor with keyless fob by pushing UNLOCK button. I do hear that it unlocks however when pulling handle towards me, I simply can't open the hatch. Driver's and passenger doors open and close fine. I've checked the manual from cover to cover and verified every single thing that it talks about, but still no result.
View 4 RepliesI just bought 2008 hyundai accent with 51,000 miles and it drives great. Only issue so far is the trunk latch sticks when i open it, and i have to unstick it to close. I ordered an OEM handle from the dealer in hopes that it's the part i need. Any tips on how to replace. I pulled the trim off to look under there and spray some lubricant on it. But not sure how complicated the latch will be to replace.
View 13 RepliesI have a problem, the passenger front door won't open from inside or out, neither handle on the inside or out works.
The lock goes up and down and the handles move but you can feel that they are not connected to anything. I took it to two mechanics and they shrugged.
If I can't open the door, I can't take the panels off and look inside the door. What I can do? I hate to destroy my door panel.
I recently bought new Accent 2011 and drove it for a couple of weeks. Couple of days ago I noticed that only one out 3 Power Window Buttons lights up with when dim lights are on. Also there are no lights for power lock bottom. Is it the way it suppose to be or it is some sort of an issue? The only reason I noticed it, is that my driver side power window button lights up and the rest don't.
View 5 Replies1) After 10000km the car started to develop some front suspension knocking sound going over potholes. After three trips to a dealer they finally said that it was a loose stabilizer bar which apparently is "very common". They tightened it and the problem seemed to go away. Now after 40000km the problem seems to have came back. I am starting to think that maybe it is somehow related to cold temperature because it seems to get a little better once the car has been warmed up and it has been going for some time.
I don't really care about the noise, but I want Hyundai to fix it if there really is a problem.
2) When driving 40-60km/h with the sunroof open I get a resonant wobbling sound. If I open one of the windows just a bit it disappears. Sounds like a poor sunroof wind deflector design to me. (I have driven Mazdaz and Hondas with sunroofs and none of them had that problem)
3) Whats up with those super heavy 16' aluminum wheels!!!! Is it just me or it feels like they weigh more then the steel ones? The car even feels faster when I put on my winter tires on steel rims.
Other then that the car has been pretty good. I am not getting anywhere near the factory specified fuel efficiency 6.5-7.5l/100km hwy and 8-9l/100km city, but I do drive it fairly hard, so that is OK. It still amazes me though that my 15yr old civic was getting the same mileage with a comparable performance. You would think that there would be some progress in automotive technology....
2006 Accent. Today I was stunned to find the inside driver's handle no longer opened the door : I'm sitting here with my door panel almost completely off, the only thing I'm stuck on is the manual window crank
I've been searching around google and here, all I can really find is that it's a huge PITA, and you're supposed to use a hook to pull out a C-Clip.
I really can't see this C-Clip. Or even make contact with it, if it is there. I've been pulling the crank back and peaking inside ever so slightly and I'm just not seeing anything. With a hook in there, I spun the crank hoping I'd feel a 'bump' or 'nudge' of the clip against my hook (bent metal wire), but honestly I've got nothing.
The floor lights in my car do not come on when I open the doors. What could cause this? The bulbs look good. Is there a separate special setting to get these to come on?
View 3 RepliesAbout month ago, my cabin lights stopped coming on when I open the door. I can turn the lights on, so it is not bulbs. It's a pain to come home at night and not have the lights come on for a few minutes as I get out of the car.
View 5 RepliesI bought a 2006 Accent MC at the beginning of last month, got a new radio (Sony Xplorer) and asked my cousin to install it. He made the new radio work but went I decided to leave his place, the dashboard lights weren't turning on and the clock was off also. We tried to install the original radio back in but it didn't change anything, almost made it worse. Nothing was working at that point. Asked my other cousin to get a look, he finally made the new radio work (he burned a fuse and it wasn't working because of it) the clock went back on as well, but not the lights of the dashboard. He says the fuses are nice and he doesn't know what could be the problem. How is the radio related to these lights?

I'm thinking it was just grounding the green wire going to the switch but not positive.
I found out last night that all 3 of my brake lights are out. However, my tail lights work, and my turn-signals work. So obviously its not a big wiring deal. I was looking for the brake switch but i don't know where its at because i looked underneath. What fuse is the brake lights cause my manual doesn't have it listed. I drive a 04 Elantra GLS.
