View 5 RepliesI have a 2006 Azera and recently had the small part of the door handle fall off (part #83652E). I got a new part but wanted to know how easy it is to install this or whether I should have the dealer do it. Do I need a special tool to remove the door panel/clips or can I do it with something else. Once inside, is it just as simple as screwing the new part on through a hole in the door?

My passenger side rear door handle does not work. My mechanic fixed it once, said the cable had jumped off the pulley. I figured it can't be that difficult to fix if I can get the door panel off.
Two part question:
-Audio is my hobby. I hear things that many people don't. One of the things I'm hearing from my Sound System I is a faint buzzing/vibration in many of the speakers. Some of it can only be heard in certain songs (Steely Dan/Jack Of Speed - Great song!), or when playing an audio book. Most of the time, it comes from the woofers, but with audio books (spoken word), I can hear it from midrange/tweeters as well.
-I've had the car at the dealer multiple times for this. They did replace one speaker and claim to have parts in order to fix it. I suspect that the speakers are just vibrating on their mounts, or vibrating something inside the door. I might be able to fix it. How to take the door panels off so the speakers can be accessed?
I found the tutorial on removing the rear door panel, but I could not get the front door panel removed. I worked on it and got the 3 screws out, but I tried pulling and heard a snap so I might have already broke a clip.
View 1 RepliesI've got a 2010 elantra that's pretty mint still, but for some reason the door panels rattle either when listening to music with a good amount of base, or when the car runs over anything (like the small dividers on the road).
Its pretty annoying sounds and I am curious if its just mine or if other elantras have it as well (2nd owner so I have no clue if the cars always done it ).
I've got a 2006 F250 5.4l Super Cab. When I bought the truck the rear interior door trim panels were missing. I tried to order them straight from ford but it turns out they no longer carry them, and I can't seem to find them anywhere online. I've also looked at the salvage yards in my area- nothing. Where I would be able to find these elusive creatures?
View 3 RepliesI've got a 2004 and need to run some cables from under the rear seat to the front. I want to use the channels in the rocker panels, ie. where the bottom of the door closes, and behind the column between the front and back. How to remove these pieces.
View 2 RepliesHow to remove the clip on ignition coil connector wires that attach to all 4 of the coils.
I see that it has a black tab that you pull to the up or out position. From there I'm at a loss what to do. I managed to prode and poke and got one off, but I nearly pulled the connector off the wire and I know I didn't do it right.
Is there a simple way to release these mothers that I'm just not getting? If so, looking for explicit instructions in minute detail..
I have a 2010 Hyundai Elantra (GLS, I think). I was having problems with the factory alarm, and while troubleshooting that, I found that the lock on the rear door (drivers side) works well manually, but fails (won't lock or unlock) most of the time when using the key fob or the master lock switch on the drivers door. I'm pretty sure the actuator for the door lock/latch is going bad, and I'd like to take it off the vehicle for inspection and if bad, replace it.
So, I took the door panel off, and found there is a huge aluminum cover over most of the door, with about 9 bolts holding it on. I can't seem to get it off, to gain access to the interior of the door where the actuator is mounted. I've tried the local Hyundai dealership, local auto parts stores, but how to remove it. Removing the bolts lets me pry it away enough to peek inside, but I can't find what's holding that aluminum cover on.
I have a 2001 passat with leather interior and I'm trying to put new speakers in it but I can't get the door panels off and everything I read about doing it says to split the door handle but the rear and passenger door handles don't split they are one piece so how to get them off so I can remove the panel

View 24 RepliesI have noticed as it gets colder, my car rattles more. I keep hearing random rattles, mainly in the door panels. Looking for remedy apart from going up to the dealership?
View 5 RepliesI've done the best I can to block out an annoying sound coming from what I think are the door panels (unsure at this point).
When I bring the vehicle to a stop, release the brake and give it some gas (light to moderate acceleration, mind you), 90+/100 times I get a clearly audible "click" from one or both sides of the car. It seems to be emanating from the door panels. Sounds like hard plastic/plastic of maybe plastic/metal sound. It's not loud, but definitely there and definitely annoying since I enjoy driving without the radio on.
Issue was acknowledged by a tech and service manager at the dealership, who agreed this is not normal for a MKV, even one with 40,000 miles on it. However, they offered no solutions, only horror stories of fighting with door alignment on a MKVI.
How to take the door panels off ? I have to take mine off to replace the mirrors the wires run into the panel. Just thought id ask before I have at it.
View 2 RepliesSo I bought a set of 05 towing mirrors today, got them installed and need to get the door panels off so I can disconnect the wire clip. I figured I would swap out the speakers while in there too so I assume 6X9? Also when I click the keyless entry button on the remote it unlocks all the doors but the driver door. The lock moves a little so I know it's getting a little tug but I still have to use the key to open it. What can I do to fix this?
View 10 RepliesMy RX 350 is 5 months old, 8000 miles. It has developed very annoying rattling noises under the rear seat and, sometimes, rear door panels.
View 1 RepliesI am quite displeased with the creaking and rattling noises I keep getting from my 2012 3.6 Premium's door panels and dash. I have already had these looked at by a dealership multiple times in the last year or so. Each time they "fix" it, the noises go away for some weeks and always keep coming back in one form or another.
I have an appointment with a different dealership this week. I hope they will be able to fix this for good. However, the noises have really spoiled the experience of this car. I wonder if all Passat's suffer from this issue. Just wanted to vent, don't know how else to let it out of my system
My 2010 Nissan Rogue was awesome until the clicks, squeaks, rattles, etc popped up after the first year. I've been slowly figuring them out, but one remaining problem is the squeaking plastic door panels. If I lean my arm on it or or leg against it, it creaks in many places. Going over bumps it'll do it on it's own. Is there anything I can do to remedy this? It is out of warranty as I have about 40K on it and they said that wouldn't qualify anyhow when it was under warranty as it was "cosmetic".
View 5 RepliesIm new to the forum and have a 96 extended aerostar. My question ia has any one made custom front interior door panels. Mine are badly broken up and I feel beyond repair.
View 6 RepliesI'm wanting to update my door panels to the 2008 or 2011. I know I can change out the center console but I'm not sure what years work. The bottoms of my doors are rusted out and I believe it makes more sense to buy the doors than repair them. I would love to know if the newer model SD's are the same design as the pre-2008s.
