I've got some front end noise in my 09 accent gls. Its the passenger side when it goes over bumps. I've seen online it may be the sway bar end linkage? I don't have air tools or do too much work myself, I just do the typical stuff on my own, oil changes, brake replacement, stuff like that...how hard is this job?
View 11 RepliesSo I picked up my Accent on Tuesday with only 8kms on it and I love it! However I have one problem, I was driving around today and kept on hearing a rattling noise coming from the front right passenger side. I tried to lower/raise the window but I think it may be around the speaker.
View 3 RepliesI drive a 2006 Toyota Corolla, and I've noticed e a squeaky noise coming from my passenger side front wheel. The noise only occurs when I am accelerating the car and driving between 20-40 mph. As I accelerate, the squeaks increase in frequency. They disappear when I brake.
A mechanic replaced the front brake pads two years ago (15,000 miles ago) and also shaved the rotors. About a year later, the squeaks began. I brought the car into a different mechanic at that time (because I moved) and asked them to take a look. They checked the brakes and said they looked good. They attributed the noise to metallic brakes as opposed to ceramic and said the noise would go away in time. The noise has persisted, however, and is becoming more intense.
What is going wrong? Could this be a CV joint or wheel bearing issue? A rotor issue?
When driving I hear, not feel, a slight thumping noise that if I had to guess would say is coming from the passenger side front. When I let off the gas the noise becmes more prominent and you can feel the thumping. Also when I apply the brakes heavily the sound/feel goes back to the same as if I was driving. I'm thinking CV joint/axles or spindle bearings, but I cant understand why the condition is at it's worst when I'm coasting. Has this "noise while coasting" problem.

View 6 RepliesI owned a 99 f250 a little while ago. Just bought a 2006 crewcab F150 xlt about 2 months ago, and for the past month there has been this unusual grinding or whirring like noise coming from the front passenger side wheel.
I took it to the mechanic and he found a bad wheel bearing on drivers side and replaced it but that wasn't the issue. He could hear the noise but wasn't able to figure out what the actual issue was.
The noise only happens when my foot is on the throttle. (not when coasting) and i also just discovered that it doesn't make any noise at all when put in 4x4.
Last night the passenger side headlight did not come on low, but when i switched to high beam it came on. It goes out only on low beam. The driver side headlight works both high and low. Is there a fuse for passenger side low beam? I wiggled the wires and connector to the bulb itself with no luck.

View 1 RepliesI have a problem, the passenger front door won't open from inside or out, neither handle on the inside or out works.
The lock goes up and down and the handles move but you can feel that they are not connected to anything. I took it to two mechanics and they shrugged.
If I can't open the door, I can't take the panels off and look inside the door. What I can do? I hate to destroy my door panel.
My passenger side window is moving like a snail.
I tried both, the button on the driver side, and the one on the passenger side, and I get the same result. I also tried pulling on the door to give it more space, so it's not that it has too much pressure on it from the door. My car only has 27,000 miles on it, so the motor shouldn't be going out already. But I guess it's possible.
I'm pretty sure it's always been slower than the driver side window, but between today and yesterday, I noticed it's been getting dramatically slower every time I use it. I'm kinda' afraid to push the button to take it down now.
My driver side is higher than the passenger, how do you adjust the headlights?
View 5 RepliesMy 2009 Accent (hatch) has for some time now made a very noticeable clunking sound from the rear passenger side when going over rough roads (minor bumps). I sat in the back at one point and it is definitely coming from the area of the shock and not from the trunk. It has persisted through all temperatures and seems worse now (February in New England). I found a lot of conversation of this issue related to Elantras, but not so much for Accents. My spouse thinks it is the shock dust cover rattling, and in fact you can make it rattle, but I'm not convinced that it could make that much of a clunk - it's just what looks like a thin plastic.

View 2 RepliesMy wife has a 2012 Accent with 23k miles. Within the last few weeks she started having a clunking noise coming from the rear passenger side when going over bumps. I had some time to check the basics (loose lugs, broken exhaust bracket, spare tire, trunk lid, etc..) and have come up with nothing. I'm not very familiar with Hyundai's, but I wouldn't think there are very many components to the rear suspension other than struts that could be making a clunk like that. But with 23k miles, the struts shouldn't be bad.
View 6 RepliesWithin the last few days whenever I am backing up there tends to be a low hum noise coming from the passenger side tire when backing up and with no pressure on the brakes. The noise is not present at any time other then backing up so I am really unsure what could be causing it.
What could be causing this before I work on it. I know its not having any problem braking as well as it is also driving straight when the steering wheel is let go in drive.
I just bought a 2006 Sonata GLS V6 for my daughter to commute back and forth to college.
The car rides like a dream and has plenty of pep, but I had this annoying squeak when you go over bumps. It looks like the upper strut mount has a lot of play in it when you shake the car up and down, so I ordered 2 from Rock Auto. the left side feels and looks solid.
But I just read an article on the upper control arm replacement and wonder if that not my real problem here.
Recently replaced the head and gasket on 2010 accent blue. Torqued to factory specs. There is an oil leak between the head and block in the front driver side. Can i tighten that bolt? Is there a break in period, do i need to re-torque or buy another gasket and head bolts?

View 1 RepliesSo I just replaced the front rotors and brake pads on my 06 Sonata. Before I replaced them, the front passenger side had a clicking sound coming from it when I turned. So I thought this whole time that I needed a new CV joint. But after I replaced the rotors and pads I took it for a test drive and I noticed that the clicking noise was gone! So I guess my question is, can bad brake pads and rotors cause a clicking sound when turning?
