I have a 2010 Accent Hatchback GS, 5 speed
My exterior driver door handle has stopped working entirely. This means gaining entry on the passenger side door. I'm fortunate enough to have a key-less entry so I don't have to manually unlock. I think the cable is broken.
The right side of my driver side door handle recently came detached, and I can't get in my vehicle unless I crawl in through the passenger seat.

One small thing that's bothering me, though, is a door handle issue. I tend to open the car door for my girlfriend quite a bit and I've only recently noticed that her door is extremely easy to open. Very little force is needed to pull the door handle with only two fingers. The back doors are the same.
My driver side door is quite the opposite. I always need to pull much harder on that handle, and in some cases if I pull the wrong way I actually have to use force to open it. The only thing I can think of is that it's either just constructed differently as its on the driver door or that I may have actually damaged it a bit when I accidentally hit the lock button on the door as I was opening it. The door actually locked in mid-open and caught the door.
I plan on going to the dealer and testing some other Elantras to see if their driver doors require a bit of pull, and I'd like to hear if anyone else has noticed a difference in opening the driver door as opposed to the other doors? I feel like they should all be silky smooth and require no real effort to open. My driver door just doesn't "pop" open for me anymore.
I have a 2007 Sonata and the rear driver side exterior door handle broke. How to repair it? Does the interior panel need to come off? I see a screw under the pivot side and an interior bolt through an access port from the inside.

View 2 RepliesI have a 2008 Phaeton v8. The keyless entry feature on the exterior door handles has stopped working. The car neither locks or unlocks using the keyless entry feature. I tried using accessing the car with different key Fobs to no avail.
View 2 RepliesI have the car door apart, how to remove the panel on my camry. I got all the way to where I have to remove the outside handle to completely take out the part that has the actuator built in. Everything is all good until I got to this part. How to finish getting the handle off so the part that goes into the electrical mechanism where the actuator can be removed is done. I got the mechanism basically hanging there. I got the two bolts to what I thought was holding the outside handle on. One bolt is on the side of the door covered by a rubber grommit and the there inside the door in the middle of the handle.
View 3 RepliesLast week out of the blue, the lock/unlock button the driver's side door stopped working altogether. It's not stuck, as I can definitely feel it click when pressed. Also, the passenger side button works just fine. This is very annoying after spending a year without ever having to use the actual key fob.
View 7 RepliesI have a 2007 Santa Fe. The drivers door handle has stopped working. I can open the door with the inside handle. The locking mechanism is fine. I took the interior panel off and found there is a middle metal panel, which stopped me from getting to the exterior door handle mechanism to see what is wrong. I can't find any information on how to correctly remove the middle panel. I remove the bolts but am not sure how to deal with the two cables from the inside handle to the lock and if there is anything else needed to release the middle panel.

2006 Accent. Today I was stunned to find the inside driver's handle no longer opened the door : I'm sitting here with my door panel almost completely off, the only thing I'm stuck on is the manual window crank
I've been searching around google and here, all I can really find is that it's a huge PITA, and you're supposed to use a hook to pull out a C-Clip.
I really can't see this C-Clip. Or even make contact with it, if it is there. I've been pulling the crank back and peaking inside ever so slightly and I'm just not seeing anything. With a hook in there, I spun the crank hoping I'd feel a 'bump' or 'nudge' of the clip against my hook (bent metal wire), but honestly I've got nothing.
I recently purchased a 2006 GS 300 AWD from a friend with about 90k miles. After getting accustomed to this vehicle, I began to notice that the driver's side door handle does not automatically unlock the door as I know it should.
I've troubleshooted and changed the settings for each door handle through the key fob to unlock every door instead of just the drivers door. Every other door handle sensor works, besides the drivers door. I can lock and unlock doors with every other door handle but can not lock or unlock from the drivers side door sensor or the button on the door handle.
I've changed my key fob battery as I read that that might have something to do with it, but alas, no luck and I doubt that was the problem since the other doors have worked fine since I've gotten the car.
Do the sensors on these door handles go bad? Is there a way to replace them and are parts/labor expensive?
All of my exterior lights will not turn on and my fan on my A/C heat stopped working. I feel like it may be a fuse issue but the fact that they stopped working earlier then suddenly came back on, then went back off again within the course of 4 hours has me worried.

2008 Accent GLS 66,000 miles
I have the base model GLS, but I put fogs in and hard wired them to the battery. They've been on for about 2 years now, and yesterday I went to turn my switch on under my dash and they didn't work. Fuse is fine, wires are fine, and the bulbs look fine. I'm still thinking its the bulbs though because the other day I put my header back on and I think the bulbs hit floor and kinda bent from the contact, so I'm thinking that might be it.

The lights do not come on at all when the brake is pushed, including the center one. When my headlights are on thought, they do light up, just do not brighten when the brakes are hit.
View 16 RepliesGot a 2008 Hyundai Accent. Yesterday, the blower motor just stopped working. I had just started it up, the heater came on for about five seconds. There was no noise, no funny smell, nobody had done anything to it. It just stopped. I checked the ac fuse and it looked fine. I looked in the fuse box under the hood, and I'd like to check the fusible link for the blower motor to see if it has a problem. Is this something I could do and how? Also is there anything else I can do to diagnose the cause of the problem?

View 1 RepliesMy passenger window switch has stopped working. At first it did not want to open and close using the main switch on the driver door . (2008 1.6 3 door hatch). Then it also stopped operating on the single switch by the passenger door. Luckily its in a closed position. Is there any possible fixes, bar having to buy a new switch, as its proving hard to locate. Mostly main switches for the sedans available.
