My front speakers have stopped working. I thought it was the stereo itself (why would both speakers stop?) but I've replaced the head unit and still nothing. No buzz, nothing. Which leads me to think it's something else.
View 5 RepliesMy wife has a 2009 Accent base model. I recently heard a kind of buzzing from the speakers when the bass hits but it does not sound like they are blown, more like something is loose. How do I get to the speakers from above to check things out and see what it looks like?
View 7 RepliesI have a OEM base model head unit and today both front speakers stopped working out of nowhere I pulled the head unit out to see if everything was plugged in and it all was snug.. I checked all the fuses too. Is there any other way to check to see if its my head unit thats bad or the speakers? And I guess my second question is if I replace my head unit with a aftermarket one do I still need to retain the stock unit? My sunfire had that problem I needed to put my oem radio in the trunk and hook it into my new aftermarket one. I did try adjusting the fade and all the setting too with no luck.

View 3 RepliesNoticed in the last 3 days that my front windshield washers aren't working, but the rear one is. I figured that maybe the nozzles were just frozen up, but opened the hood tonight when I got home and shut the engine off but with the key in "Run" and tried the wiper switch....can't even hear the pump come on, but I can with the rear wiper.
Are there TWO pumps on the Accent hatchback? One for the rear wiper and one for the fronts? Is it possible one of my pumps is bad? I haven't checked the fuse...will do that in the morning, but I can't imagine it's a fuse as the front and rear washers would be on the same fuse I imagine...
I am rocking an 09 Tiguan which unfortunately is out of warranty. Last night while listening to music my back two speakers quit working and still aren't working. I don't see how I could have blown them both at the same time, my volume was only at 16.
View 14 RepliesI have an '09 Corolla S with the non-JBL sound system, 6 disk in-dash changer and 6 speakers. I am getting no sound from the speakers except a small burst of static when I turn the ignition on and once in a while sporadic static. The Radio is still playing CD's, FM, Etc, but no sound. All fuses are good and the clock works. I disconnected the factory iPod interface and still nothing. I also tried a different aftermarket HU, but still no sound... I'm on the road all the time so I'm over 50,000k and there is no warranty left on the radio. I've also torn the dash out checking wires and connections and can't seem to find anything abnormal.
View 12 RepliesWe have a 2010 accent with the basic stock radio and we just put in a an aftermarket XM radio. The problem we have is that when you plug the XM unit into the 12volt power plug and hook the XM radio into the stock radio AUX plug you hear a loud whining noise thru the speakers.
View 3 Repliesi have a lexus gs430 model 2008 , one day i started the car and noticed that the speakers not working at all ! not for seat belt alarm , not for the day date , not for radio , cd player , nav , also when i rise the volume up the volume number indicator do not appear on screen . before this situation the speakers were working perfectly fine .
View 14 RepliesI own a 2009 GEN III Prius with full nav and the standard 6 speakers, no JBL. It has 2 speakers in the dashboard, 2 speakers in the front doors en 2 speakers in the back doors.
I upgraded my front speakers with 3 way JBL GTO 938 speakers, expecting to improve the low and mid frequencies. Unfortunately, the results are disappointing: Apparently, the speakers in the front doors only get LOW frequencies. So, the real lows are fine now, but I expected more from this.

While playing the radio or a CD the unit will frequently generate a LOUD "pop" thru the speakers. It will repeat itself at various intervals which leads to my turning the unit off as it's most disturbing. I temporarily removed the negative battery cable but that didn't reset / correct it.

Recently 2 of front driver side speakers stop working(1 on dash,1 on door) only when I listen to radio and stream music from my iphone. I played with the L/R F/R balance and made sure about it. However when I got phone call and using navigation guidance voice it works no problem.

Symptoms:
50% of the time there is static coming from the front right speaker and all other speakers are mute.
40% of the time there is no sound.
10% of the time the speakers are fine.
Steps taken this far:
Cleaned the ground underneath the battery.
My dad who is a mechanic says possibly a stereo issue while I think it's a connectivity issue. How to diagnose the problem and salvage my speakers.
My friend got pulled over for her 2011 Accent's third brake light not working. We checked ALL fuses in the driver's side box and replaced the bulb - no luck.
View 11 RepliesI have a 2009 accent.. fuel pump went so I just replaced it...it pumps fuel but not getting any fuel to the cylinders...had a plug out to test the spark and it has good spark but plugs were dry and very faint fuel smell...also changed the crankshaft position sensor.. what could cause a no fuel issue??car ran fine, shut it off and no start..checked the fuel pump and it wasn't working though it had power to it...why the injectors wouldn't be working??
View 12 RepliesOK all sensors and evac valve done. No codes being pulled. No check engine light. Car starts no problem in the morning or when its been sitting but when the car has been driven to temp. I will not restart and just keeps cranking, if it starts to start it shudders and dies. I am the original owner and its had any maintenance its needed.
View 4 RepliesMy hyundai accent has been giving me fits for about 6 months but I didnt think it was a major issue, apparently I am wrong. When it first started the check engine light would come on randomly and go off after a few minutes or even a day. Then it started staying on longer and when it would go off my car would stall. Then when it got cold twice I went out to warm my car before I left and when I came back out to leave it was dead, had to be jump started and while driving the first couple of miles it would die, it always cranked fine but it at lights or stop signs would die. Now it has stopped all together, it turns but wont start. I have a spark and we have tried the cam sensor and crankshaft. The fuel pump wouldn't go out while I was driving would it? or what could it be we are kind of at a loss.
View 11 Replies2009 Accent GL Sport manual transmission. Battery keeps dying. 2 batteries over the last 9 months. This is on my son's car. Replaced battery and a few months later it's dead again. Had the system checked no drains on the battery, alternator work great. No fathom drains in the system. The car can set for a week before being driven. The only thing we can think of, because it's not driven every day, the little battery drains out by the systems in the car(clock, etc.). we think there's a .8 amp drain or less.

View 10 RepliesI own a 2001 Hyundai Accent. For some reason my front fogs lights have stopped working, i am suspecting the switch is dead because the green led does not come on when the switch is depressed, i have checked the fuse and all ok however on the fuse box/relay cover in the engine bay it says that there should be a relay (see attachment) but i don't have a relay there and never have had even when the lights worked, well at least i have never taken it out. Back to the switch, how to remove the switch from the panel so i can test the circuit with one of the other switches.
