View 4 RepliesI have a 2009 Hyundai accent. 2 cylinders misfire. I changed out the spark plugs after the misfiring began and the 2 cylinders that misfire don't follow any specific ignition coil, it's just 2 random ones.
Looking at the data with a reader points to fuel injector number 1 not working properly. The first few seconds the car is on the check engine light blinks and fuel injector 1 spray duration (fluctuates based on gas applied) changes just like all the others. However, when the check engine light goes solid (then the misfire code is thrown) fuel injector 1's spray duration is stuck (usually around 3.5 ms)
The cable going into the fuel injector powers those little troubleshooting lights like it should until you plug the cable into the fuel injector OR remove and replace the light a few times.
I don't know much about cars but someone told me to try cleaning out the Mass AirFlow sensor as they had the problem above and the MAF sensor was the cause. I can't find anything on where the MAF sensor is located though.
I'm looking for the location of the knock sensor I can't find it?
View 4 RepliesAfter the car has sat for awhile 1-2 hours, when I start it back up the engine coolant temp light comes on and remains on for 1-3 minutes. This happens regardless of the ambient temp outside. It can be 40 degrees up to 80 and it will still come on. This started a few months ago, I have drained and flushed the cooling system, and wondering id this may be an indication that my thermostat is faulty and needs to be changed.

Where is the ambiant outside air temp sensor located on the Phaeton? I know it is located under the outside left or right mirror (based on model year) on a Volvo but not sure where it is on the Phaeton. No problems, just curious.

View 5 Replies1992 3.0L aero crancks but won't start. Gives codes 114 and 116, these are about IAT and ECT sensors. Where is the ECT exactly located? I see 3 or 4 sensors that are screwed to intake manifold over there. I would like to find the sensor for dash cooling meter too, because it is moving only a fraction of the distance that it should. Thermosthat is checked, it seems to work.

I'm pretty sure I have a faulting coolant sensor. Light comes on with a message in the MFI indicating coolant is low, but when I check, its at the maximum line on the overflow reservoir. So I assume the sensor is not accurate/faulting.
Spoke to my service advisor who said the sensor is attached to the reservoir and you buy it all as one item, sensor and reservoir combined.
I've also seen threads that indicate it's a stand alone sensor toward the back of the engine compartment.
Need to confirm either of these as being accurate locations for the sensor? Is there more than one?
I need a replacement driver side door, towing mirror for a 2011 Ford F250 SuperDuty with turn signal, heated, electrically adjustable manual-extend and manual fold options. The truck VIN number is 1FT7X2B67BEC96261. The truck also has an Outside-Air-Temperature indication which is what I'm not sure about. It is my understanding that the Outside-Air-Temperature sensor may be in the side mirror. Looking for any info on the temperature sensor located on this truck? I found an aftermarket mirror while I can not afford Ford. However, the aftermarket mirror ad says it does not have Outside-Air-Temperature and I would like to keep that working.
View 1 RepliesThe passenger side door of my 08 Accent Hatchback got frozen after cold icy rainy night. I forced it open after few try, and found the rubber seal underneath the door was ripped off (ice in it). I put it back in, but after turn the engine on, the airbag light is on.
After some google, I think I damaged or disconnected the sensor in the passenger side door panel. How to fix it?
