My 2007 Accent will not start. It doesn't turn over. All it does is beep when I turn the key. It is a long high pitched beep, followed by three sets of two shorter beeps. The engine doesn't turn over at all. The dome light works, as does the radio and dash lights, so I don't think the battery is dead.
I'm wondering if its a starter problem, but the beeping must be some kind of error message, right?
Drove the car yesterday all was fine. Came home and shut it off. Went to start it about an hour later and the ignition key will not turn. Tried a second key and still no luck. Disconnected the battery and waited for about 10 mins. Reconnected battery still no luck. Wiggled steering wheel and shifter (automatic) still no luck.
View 16 RepliesMy Accent recently died in traffic. All of the electronic components seem to be working. The engine cranks but does not turn over. I removed the spark plugs and they were soaked in gasoline and the plugs on the 1st and 2nd cylinder had a black residue. I dried them off and tried to start the car again, no luck. The spark plugs were soaked in gas.
Over the summer (5 months ago) 2 ignition coils fouled out and I replaced them along with all of the spark plugs.
I have a 2007 Hyundai Accent. The interior dome light won't turn on, the trip mileage recycles every time the car turns on, the feature that won't let the locks lock while the key is in the ignition and the car is off doesn't work (what's that called), and the dashboard clock is dead.
The visor fell off and the two wires that provided the lighting for the visor mirror touched something, and I guess, shorted everything. Is there a fuse(s) I can change or do I need some serious electrical repair?
My accent won't start anymore. When I turn the key, I hear a series of clicks, but the car won't start. When I put the key in the ignition, lights/radio/wipers all work fine. It's a 2008 manual car.
View 3 RepliesI have that annoying squeal when I start my car and when I turn my steering wheel (also noticed I can't turn the wheel very well as it feels dodgy, as in the belt catches then lets go if that makes sense). Now once the car warms up it usually doesn't happen again but obviously I want to rectify this as my car draws enough attention at start up but this is getting ridiculous. I checked my power steering fluid and it's bad, brown and has some sediment so it needs changing for sure but here's my problem;
How do I check things to make sure I don't get ripped off at the mechanic? I'm sure a power steering flush and re-tightening of the belt will probably fix it as I've only but 40K on the belts since ikilledbarbie and I changed all of them out. Whay I don't want to have happen is go in and hear "oh you need to replace XYZ" when the problem really is only ABC if you catch my drift.
I have a Hyundai accent 2007, I guess the brain box is faulty, the engine will crank fan roll etc but won't start at all, can dis reset work for it at all ...

View 10 RepliesI have a 07 gs350. My car wouldn't start this morning let alone turn on. I heard this constant beeping noise coming from the hood and it was the battery. I unplugged the battery and the noise stopped. But once I plugged it back in the noise came back. I was in a rush to get to work this morning so I just unplugged it and let it sit for a few minutes before plugging it back in to see if it work.. it did not. This battery is only about 1 year old too.
View 3 RepliesStarting yesterday, when I start my 2007 Elantra....I turn the key, everything lights up as normal, I hear the fuel pump turn on.....then there is no other sounds for between 1-3 seconds. Then the car starts and runs normally. I remember reading about things like this but of course can't find it now that i need it!
View 4 RepliesAny ls600hl owner experienced this? --> When the car is left on acc for a while (all electrics system online without the engine running - or if the car is started with radio only then shut off a few time) the parking sensor suddenly start beeping non stop. If you shut down the car then the steering wheel won't go back into neutral position.
If you try to start the car (along the engine) the car does a kind a "air deflating" sound and won't start (don't seems to be the suspension thought). Then the light on the Mark Levinson radio start flashing intermittently and a warning about the SRS is showing telling you to go to the dealer to have the car inspected.
If you wait a few minutes and start the car again it will then start normally without problems and won't display the SRS warning anymore. This is my second 2008 ls600h with the executive trim and both did this so this seems to be some kind of design flawn.
So I bought a 2006 Prius from a dealership and drove it a few times in the first week I got it. The next 5 days or so I didn't use it, until today when I tried to start it up. The car wouldn't unlock with the key remote, so I opened it manually with the key. Then I tried to start it up, nothing. I then took a battery charger and hooked it up to the 12v battery under the hood. There was a constant beeping noise (like you were to honk your horn) then it stopped about 3 minutes later.
I charged it until it was fully charged (a green light pops up when it's full), but the car still wouldn't start nor were there any lights on the dashboard. I then opened the trunk and charged the battery until it was full, it too made a honking noise for a while then stopped. I saw all the lights (ABS, orange triangle, and others) light up so I thought maybe I was on the right track; however when the charger light turned green I unhooked the battery and tried to start the car. Again, no lights on the dashboard and nothing when I try to start the car. What is going on???
i have a 2006 f-150 xlt, i was driving it today and it started making a 5x5 beeping noise shortly after i started it up. I read on a few forums that that beeping is a warning about the passenger airbag sensor or something. anyways it went away and kept driving for 5 minutes or so when suddenly the dash went out and all the gauges dropped but i was still able to drive fine. A minute later the engine just died and i managed to pull over to the side of the road. now nothing works when i turn the key, not even a light, its just a dead weight, the remote locking doesn't even work. the only sign of life is a LED from my phone charger that is plugged into the outlet. the battery is only 2 months old so its not that.

View 17 RepliesSo tonight i discovered that when I press the brake pedal, none of my brake lights turn on. When my headlights are on, the rear light bulbs are on, but no brake lights come on when i press the pedal, and high rear light is completely off (so i know that its not the bulbs). I am going to check the fuses tomorrow, what maybe be causing this?
its still under warranty, so i can always just take the thing to Hyundai if needs be. But i hate dealing with Hyundai because they have the WORST customer service i have ever had to deal with. They have nothing but a buncha mechanic school drop outs working there, so if its an easy fix- rather do it myself.
Today the CEL on my 2010 HB with 30,000km came on and the car ran rough like it had a bad spark plug. I went straight home and luckily had a set on hand and replaced them. Car now runs like before but the CEL is still on.
View 8 RepliesMy 2008 Accent will intermittently crank crank and will not turn over. You can hear it trying to start but it seems like its not getting fuel. Then I will stop turning the key, try again and it will start. It may do this two or three times before starting. I have no codes.

Thought maybe it was because i left the back seat folded down for almost a week, but since then i have placed it back completely into position. Disconnected the battery and re-connected it, still stays on..
I have also driving almost 200 miles with the seat back in normal position, was hoping it would re-set by now.. I recently installed a stereo system in the car, everything got hooked up to the factory stereo, and the light didn't come on for almost 2 weeks after the install.. Could it be because of the back seat being folded down?
My subs hit pretty hard, could this be enough to trigger some sensor? I have two Rockford Fosgate 12" P2 subs, powered by a RF 1000 watt amp. I've asked many Car Audio specialist about air-bags deploying from hard hitting bass, and i pretty much got laughed at every time, none of them have ever herd of it happening, and i would think by now there would be some videos on you-tube of this happening.. I cant find anything anywhere saying airbags have ever been deployed from hard hitting bass...
I've also herd moving the front seats forward and back could trip some kind of sensor? My fiance is only 5'2 and i am 6' and its our only car so needless to say the seat gets moved quite often.. I know i should go to the dealer and have it hooked up to the "code reader" .. Just don't want to look stupid when i show up..
