I tried to lower the back seat the other day and the right side handle that you pull up snapped off. I can't figure out how to lower the back seat with the handle broken. I've tried reaching down with a pliers to grasp where the handle was connected and pull up but I can't get it to work. How to fix this?

View 7 RepliesWe just bought our 2008 Elantra. The door handle just fell off. I have a warranty and have been trying to get the dealership which has been futile. The handle is plastic. I am tempted to just glue it. This is not the greatest first problem to have right after buying the car and bein unable to reach the dealer.

View 1 RepliesJust replace both ebrake cables, and rear brakes are all new including wheel cylinders and drums. No matter how much i pull up on the handle, the wheels wont lock up, and they should drag the wheels, but nothing. Something wrong? Barely stops car when put in drive too. Seems like my other accent would drag the wheels all over the place.
View 4 RepliesBasically what the title says, my brothers 2002 accent front doors won't open from the inside when you pull on the handle, no matter how many times, both sides before it was just the rear doors doing this, and I can't seem to find the child safety switch, but now the same thing is happening on the front doors, and since everything is electric this is pretty bad if the electrical system dies and you have to get out of the car, what the heck is going on?

I found the parts I need on Sewell. The problem is that I am having a hard time getting access to the cables in the seat. How to get access to the cables in the seat or how to remove it so I can figure it out from there?

The sound starts as soon as I start the car up until I shut the car off. I'm assuming that this noise has always been there just noticeable because of the seat removal. Is this just the fuel pump?

I found a replacement door on ECS tuning's website, but I can't find a DIY on replacing the door/lid only. Any way out on replacing the door only, are the same steps required/removing the center console and taking the entire box out, or can the ECS tuning lid be fitted without as much disassembly?

Apparently the plastic connector/retainer to the door latch cable is broken off so that the handle no longer moves the cable.
Does the replacement door handle come with the connector/retainer to the latch cable?
To complete this repair, does the whole inner door panel have to removed or simply the assembly around the door handle?
What is that all about? We are talking the one under the seat. Passenger's side. It won't stay on and slides right off.
View 13 RepliesMy daughter has a 2005 Accent. She has had it for about a year and it has about 120k on it. She has started to hear a "clunking" noise, based on the sound we think it comes from the driver's side rear. You can feel the car jolt some when the clunking noise happens. Seems to happen on acceleration but does not happen all the time.
Now I have heard/felt the noise/jolt one time and if I did not know better I would say that it was the drive shaft universal. But this being a front wheel drive car there should not be a drive shaft in the rear.
