I've been having a few problems with my 2000 hyundai accent recently. The biggest is the dashboard lights aren't working not the best thing if you have night classes. How I can make those lights come back?

I did have a electrician friend change out my hatch last week and pretty sure he shorted out the fuse. I can't seem to see what fuse it would be all seem good
From me checking around i am lead to belive the it could be (shunt connector, memory fuse, power connector, joint connector m31) multiple names for the same thing.
How would i check this? How is it removed?
I own a 2001 Hyundai Accent. For some reason my front fogs lights have stopped working, i am suspecting the switch is dead because the green led does not come on when the switch is depressed, i have checked the fuse and all ok however on the fuse box/relay cover in the engine bay it says that there should be a relay (see attachment) but i don't have a relay there and never have had even when the lights worked, well at least i have never taken it out. Back to the switch, how to remove the switch from the panel so i can test the circuit with one of the other switches.
View 13 RepliesI bought a 2006 Accent MC at the beginning of last month, got a new radio (Sony Xplorer) and asked my cousin to install it. He made the new radio work but went I decided to leave his place, the dashboard lights weren't turning on and the clock was off also. We tried to install the original radio back in but it didn't change anything, almost made it worse. Nothing was working at that point. Asked my other cousin to get a look, he finally made the new radio work (he burned a fuse and it wasn't working because of it) the clock went back on as well, but not the lights of the dashboard. He says the fuses are nice and he doesn't know what could be the problem. How is the radio related to these lights?

I have acquired a new clock, but I'm looking for some instructions on how to remove the centre dashboard on a 2001 Accent without breaking anything or accidentally disconnecting anything while removing it.
I see there are two screws in the pop out cup holder...once they are out what is the next best and safest procedure to work the dash off all the way to the top so I can replace the clock...and then get it all back together again?
The lights that light up the A/C controls in my '03 Accent went out. I checked all the fuses in the engine bay and inside the car and they were all fine. Since only the lights relating to the A/C controls are out, is it just a bulb? if so, how do I change the bulb? I began to take off the dashboard cover, but I didn't see any bulbs.
View 14 RepliesI have an Accent 2003 - 2 door hatchback and for a while the light stays on, on my dash that the trunk is open.. I checked the lock, and the switch, and they are all ok.
Funny thing is, when I press the brake pedal, then the light turns of. Thought I would just deal with it, but it's driving me insane, looking at that light. I had to remove the light bulb from my trunk, since it is staying on all the time, and it had drained the battery.
I found through google some wiring schematics, but doesn't look like it's 100% correct.. Are there any available for my car, or even better, what it could be? (Faulty wire?)
I own a 1992 Jeep Wrangler that I'm currently trying to fix up. A major problem is that my the gauges and lights on my dashboard don't work correctly. My MPH and RPM gauges work fine, but my gas gauge and the three gauges next to it don't. they just sit at about a 1/4 full. Also the lights on my dashboard don't turn on when my headlights are on. So like when I'm driving at night with my headlights on my dashboard is pitch black. The lights have come on randomly before, but then don't work again the next time i drive with my headlights.

I work 45 minutes away and usually drive home at night so I'd love to be able to see my speed again without relying on my GPS.
I have an '0 Phaeton. Recently I noticed that my dashboard lights are flicking. It's a subtle flick, buy a flicker nonetheless.
View 2 RepliesAt night, when I turn the key to "on". The stereo light (orange)'s illuminated but no light coming from the dashboard. Other lights on the dashboard -- e.g. engine check, oil, door indicators are fine. When I start the car, the stereo light's gone away and I still have no dashboard lights. I tried to change the channel, put in a CD, increase/decrease volumes but none of those activated the light. All other functionalities seem to be working fine.
I checked the fuse box under the dashboard console. All fuses look good to me. What might be going on or I just simply have bad dashboard light bulbs? What's about the stereo lights?
Just install a car kit for buddy's 2004 Hyundai Elantra Gt. Installation went fine, later that night he noticed that his dashboard lights stopped working.
Checked all the fuses an they seem fine, checked to make sure we connected all the plugs, all connected. Even swapped out the cluster fuse with another new fuse an same results no lights.
What could cause the lights to stop all of a sudden?
The ABS no longer working lights like brakes, abs, vsc all illuminated on the dashboard, diagnosed and found out the accumulator has gone bad though, the pump is ok, need a new accumulator to move the suv from its present location to a safe place.

View 3 RepliesI have looked all over the Internet, but I can't find out how to change the lights on the dashboard. I have checked all the fuses. I have no clue have to check the dimmer switch. Though, the over head light does come on when I turn on the switch. All the lights for the check engine and such light up. The dash will not light up during the night. Someone told me that there should be a youtube video or a how to steps. I am very new to fixing my new to me truck. I have checked the how to steps on this forum and a few others.
View 4 Replies2000 Camry 4 CYL ... Very sporadically, the car won't start. The battery was replaced a year ago, so that's not the problem. The lights on the dashboard turn on, but there is no sound and the car won't turn on. After turning the key 10-12 times, the car finally starts. It happens in rain, no rain, mild or hot weather. There just does not seem to be a reason. We had the mechanic change the spark plugs, but that didn't work. He doesn't want to start replacing things willy-nilly until he can duplicate the problem in his shop. We just don't want our daughter out late at night, and have THAT be the one time the car refuses to start.

View 14 RepliesGF recently purchased an 04 accent, 4 door auto, with power windows and locks and one thing that's not working is it's horn. I found the fuse box on the drivers side kick panel, was not able to find a fuse that controls the horn. Is there one that's shared with other units or something else I need to look into ?
