View 3 RepliesI have a 2000 explorer XLT and I want to change all of my interior lights to blue. I want the cluster, window switches, a/c unit and everything else blue. I just bought a blue stereo so that's one less thing. What types of lights and how many lights there are and where I can get them and how to change them?
View 1 Replieshow can i change my lighting from white to blue. can't figure out why my 2006 v6 instrument panel lighting was blue and now my 2006 v8 has white lighting. i love my blue . how can i change this?
View 2 RepliesI have a 2007 prius with 107,000 miles. At first start up in the morning, the battery is at blue then instantly goes to black (empty) then revs up to recharge then goes to green. Like its not keeping a charge. This morning it revved up so much I thought it was going to explode. No warning lights on.
View 1 RepliesMy red ventilation symbols in the center console and the passenger side ones do not light up anymore . Are these lights inside changeable because now the center console looks a bit weird at night with only half the red vent lights lit up.
View 4 RepliesI have a 2007 Prius with 110000 miles on it and i have had an issue with the dash not coming on when the car is started. This has happened 3 times this year. I would start the car like normal everything else comes on and it is drivable but nothing is displayed where the speedometer should be. Sometimes when this happens it wont turn off by hitting the power button but it will allow me to just pull out the key and it shuts off then. these last two times it took around 5 minutes of just leaving it alone and the display comes back on when I start it up. I checked the 12v battery and everything seems to be fine.
View 3 RepliesI have a 2002 Accent...Won't start....When I turn the key on...none of the idiot lights come on...It will turn over like crazy...but nothing....Have checked all fuses and relays... Then all of a sudden the lights will all come on and it starts...ran it for awhile drove it around a bit...shut it off...then tried to restart and it did...ok then 2 days later went to start it..and same thing...No idiot lights came on....and of course will not start..Someone mentioned to me it might be the ignition switch itself that might be causing the problem?
View 3 RepliesI recently had my '02 Accent serviced. When I picked it up, the mechanic had set the parking brake with about 15,000 lbs of force. Once I got it released, I noticed that the red parking brake dash indicator light won't go off while the car is running.
I have verified the brakes are free, and have tried wiggling the brake handle.
Is there a switch somewhere that could be bad? For the record, I do most minor maintenance myself, and have 214,000 trouble-free miles on my 1.5L SOHC Accent.
Here goes, I just took ownership in the last month of a Hyundai Accent GS(2000). Car's been going great, but I have now found an annoying issue with a vibration coming through the dash. When I'm accelerating in all gears (and esp up hill when the car is under pressure), a Vibration starts in the dash and stays until I am roughly over 3000 revs. I'm in Ireland, so the car is Right Hand Drive. The Vibration sounds like it is coming from behind the speedo clocks near to windscreen.
So far, I have removed the Center Console and Stereo and the Vibration stays there. I've reached in behind the console and cant find any vibration there. I have also driven with the speedo clocks removed and putting my hand into the space trying to find the vibration.....but no joy.
The vibration itself sounds like a plastic trim in the dash (or behind the dash), but it has my stomped! Can it be something in the engine causing it? Engine ticks over fine, not lumpy in anyway.
Just picked up a pretty nice 2002 sc430 today. On the drive home I realized all the dash backLights are not lighting up. However the The radio and climate control unit do have a dim backlight working but is stuck at one level of illumination.
Like most cars the all dash lights should be very bright during the day and when you turn on the headlights they should all Dim down. ..... Not on this SC.
Makes no difference what position the headlight switch is in....Nothing changes or lights up
and
The little Dimmer does nothing either when turned all the way one way or the other.
Fuses? I am not sure what to try.
Swap out the LED dome lights in a 2012 Camry SE? I'm considering switching the bulbs out from the yellow tone stock lighting to the white lighting LED bulbs. I am also considering floor lighting that can be activated with the dome light switch and/or with the doors opening. The issue I'm having is that I would like them to be hooked up to the same switch that the stock lights are set up with. (So I can use the dimmer switch for lighting). Where I would be able to tap into the wiring for this? Is there a DIY thread somewhere?
View 3 RepliesAs I drove down the freeway tonite all the dash lighting and gauges went dead for 2 seconds then it all came back to life. After every thing came back on the clock had been reset to 12:00 and all of the info in trip computer had been reset. Could this be a symptom of a bigger problem? What should I be looking for?
View 8 RepliesI have a camry se and I am currently adding accent lighting to my car. I am trying to take the area around the shifter and the cupholders out so I can hide some wires and mount the led lights controller. How to get this out?
View 4 RepliesI swapped out all the "green" leds on my console and changed them to blue leds.
I used 3mm flat top leds and all it took was a lot of time and patient. (I don't advise you to try this unless you're really good soldering) fyi, It can be done with any color leds.
PS, my phone doesn't take the greatest pics. The blue appears almost white but it is actually blue ..
I'm having an electrical problem that's resulting in the hazards, dash lights, radio and clock all constantly flashing on and off repeatedly. The car starts fine.
When investigating under the hood, I found a wire (pictures below) that wasn't connected to anything. I'm not sure if this is what's causing the problem, but I figured this was a good place to start.
What this wire is supposed to be attached to, and if it has anything to do with the flashing lights I'm experiencing?
What this wire is or possible causes of these flashing lights.
I'm a brand new owner of a 2013 GS350 that I've had for just a few days and so far I am in love. I noticed I have this blue light at the top center of the dash that keeps fading in and out day or night. Any setting somewhere that I can make this either go away completely or atleast stop the fading effect?? On a side note, I'll be coming up on a 30K mile maintenance within the next 6 months or so and my local Lexus dealer quoted me roughly $525 or so.
View 9 RepliesSimple question for the group as I learn about my new B.O.A.T 6.0 diesel.
What is that blue light left of the steering column yet on the dash?
So the blue light indicating eco mode on the dash has become permanent despite turning to sport, or normal mode. Bought it used a few months ago but could have sworn it would turn red for sport when I first brought it home. Have tried just about everything short of unplugging the battery. I can't imagine the red light would be burnt out already and the blue light should not stay on when I change to normal mode either. Maybe my car is trying to tell me to always stay in eco...since I did come from a corolla
View 5 RepliesI noticed what like water Steam or smoke when start the car after parking it for more than 6 hours.
Here is a like to youtube I see the smoke is a little blue ....
We bought our 2007 Prius a few months ago used. It has a small black square on the dash on the passenger side. what it is? Is it a factory item or aftermarket?
View 7 RepliesI just installed a set of HID conversion kit on my 2005 F-150 STX. It is only one beam bulb so therefor I have no high beams. Also, to remind you I have fog lights on the truck. My question is, when I turn my head lights on, and pull the switch to turn on the fog lights, a "blue light" indicator lights up on the dash. It is the high beam indicator and why that is lit. As far as I remember, that light never came on before the install. You have to excuse me since this is my first truck ever and I just got it back after having it repaired at the body shop the last two months. So technically, I only had the truck for 2 months....Just curious whether the blue light is suppose to be on when the fogs are on the dash.
