Accent LC (2000-05) :: 2002 - Stuck In Park

i have a 2002 accent 4 door and it's stuck in park, its an automatic. I removed the park override little cover thingy next to the shifter and released it out of park but when I put it back in it got stuck again.

Accent LC (2000-05) :: 2002 - Window Lock Stuck On?

Got it on the motorway to find the passenger window had dropped slightly when shutting the door.. And on pressing the electric window buttons, the passenger and two rear windows aren't working! The driver window opens and closes perfectly fine. Looks as though the window lock button is stuck on, but pressing the button makes no difference as though there's a loose connection.

Might this be a fuse problem with the locking mechanism, or what may have caused this and if I can fix it easily, or whether it does need to go back to the dealer.

2002 accent with the driver window stuck down. I have the door panel off and when i look up I see the pulley with the cable balled up and two cable ends hooked to nothing.

Accent LC (2000-05) :: 2002 - AC Stuck On / Press Button No Longer Works

I have a 2002 Hyundai Accent. The press button inside the car no longer works so the A/C has been stuck ON for some time now. I don't live in a hot area so going without A/C wouldn't bother me too much. Is there an easy (read cheap) way to simply turn off the A/C from under the hood? My brother says he wants to remove the A/C belt but his knowledge of cars is often dicey. Might fix the problem, might blow up the car.

Accent RB (2012+) :: Not Starting And Shifter Is Stuck In Park

Not sure what the deal is, but I was cleaning the car today with the radio on (not the car). All of a sudden the radio turns off. I thought it was the battery. So I go to turn it on and I get *click - click-click-click*. I pick up jumper cables, and go to throw the car into neutral to push it out of the garage, but that shifter is stuck in Park.

Have a 2002 Dodge Dakota automatic. This winter when temps. dropped into lows 10s and zero degree weather, the Dodge truck would start,but would not come out of park gear. Have replaced interlock solenoid and brake light switch. Still have same problem when Temperature drops into low 10s &below. Otherwise,everything ok. (not using ER brake).

Camry :: 2002 - Tranny Stuck In Park Regardless Of The Gear Put Shifter Into

I have a 2002 Camry with (440K Kms) and automatic transmission. I am the second owner and had this car since 130K Kms so I have been driving it for a while. The car was in great condition but recently, the transmission started to give some trouble where it's gear changes were not smooth. Also, when I would come to a complete stop, trany would go into neutral even though I have not touched the gear shifter and it is still in drive.

I had my mechanic drain and fill transmission fluid since it was a bit dirty. A few days later, the car would park with gear box in "P" but no matter which gear I would put the gear shifter into, it would remain in neutral and won't pick up into any gear at all. So, I parked the car on the driveway. Couple of days later I wanted to try to see what the issue was and now, no matter what gear I put the gear shifter into, it stays into park.

TrailBlazer :: 2002 Envoy SLE - Stuck In Park / Ignition Will Not Go Into Lock Position

I've recently purchased an 02 Envoy from an auction. There are a couple of issues. The main one started last night. While at the store I put the truck in park and turn off the ignition. The ignition will not go into the lock position. I messed with the key and go it to turn off. Then started the truck to leave and couldn't put the truck in gear. I messed with the shifter and was able to put into gear.

At that point the gear shifter would move from park to reverse without me pushing the break pedal. I drove home and could not turn the key all of the way off again. Moved gear selector from 1st to Park a few times and then was able to remove the key. I restarted the truck and could not move the gear selector again; however I was able to remove the key easily.

I am leaning towards replacing the "Neutral Safety Switch" on the tranny but with my symptoms, I've seen brake light switch, ignition, and solenoid at gear shift selection.

Back up lights do not work either. Since I purchased the truck, I've replaced,

-Battery
-Ignition Coil

Accent LC (2000-05) :: Car Vibrates While In Park

I have a 2000 Hyundai Accent GL. I just bought this car for my son & noticed that the car vibrates (and by car, I mean steering wheel & entire vehicle) while in park and also while in drive but at a stop. I took it for a drive and it drove very smooth. It shows no signs of needing any wheel alignments and the tires all look to be worn evenly and are about 75% worn I would guess. I ran quiet and did not vibrate any during the test drive, other than while at a stop. On my way home, I was on the freeway and I noticed as I approached speeds of 54 mph the vehicle started to vibrate again. When I accelerated to speeds of 56 mph, the vibration was very bad, so I decided it was best to take surface streets. It felt to me as if a tire was out of balance. I tried to determine what side of the vehicle the vibration was coming from, but could not appropriately determine that.

Accent LC (2000-05) :: Car Starts But Cannot Shift Out Of Park

My 2000 4 dr Accent got flooded last night in a rainstorm. The water came up over the shifter in the floor, but not past the cigarette lighter. I probably should just write it off, but I'm pretty much way too broke to buy a new car and I need one for my job (substitute teaching).

Anyways - the car starts, but I can't shift out of park. I moved it using that little override switch. My brake lights, signal lights, etc. all work. I don't know what it could be, because the only other post I saw close to this said to check if the brake lights were not working and what to do if they weren't.

Ford 7.3L Power Stroke (1999-2003) :: 2000 - Transmission Stuck In Park

I have 2000 F-250 7.3L when I start it up and push the brake it won't come out of park and when I push the brake the volt meter goes to 8 volts. If I shut it off and try again it is ok. Might take a couple of times of doing this then it's ok for a couple of days then it happens again. I've checked the connection on brake switch and everything looks ok. What to check next?

The a/c on/off button seems to be stuck. If I push it the whole switch moves. This happened after removal of the fascia for a radio mount job.

What could be the problem? Can I maybe override it? It is no problem if it always works when the fan is on.

Accent LC (2000-05) :: Car Will Jerk Violently When Shifting Or Starts To Rev In Certain Gear Or In Park

I drive a 2002 Accent GL, automatic transmission with only 86,000 on it. For a while now I've been having transmission issues where the car will jerk violently when shifting or starts to rev in certain gear or in park. It also doesn't seem like it knows what gear it wants to be in half the time when I accelerate. Recently, while driving somewhere, it got real worse. It started revving and jumping and redlining and just going crazy while I was driving. I turned the car off and waited a while and turned it back down and it seemed to calm the issue a bit.

But I am afraid to drive right now. It's not the fluid. I've changed it twice in the past two years. Never works. I've seen issues like this on here before. If it IS the transmission needing to be replaced, why so soon with just 86,000 miles on it? And would having the transmission rebuilt be a better choice, cost-wise, but still just as effective?

Accent LC (2000-05) :: Hyundai Died At Idle On Park Now Cranks But Won't Start

Car died at idle on park. Tried to start it back up and was only getting crank. I took it to a local mech and he said my timing belt failed. I paid for the repair and the car still wouldn't start. The shop said the ecu went out. I replaced the cam position sensor and main relay under the dash. Still not getting it to start. I also have a ecu from an 05 accent, would this be plug and play? What else can I do?

Accent LC (2000-05) :: Transmission Stuck After Changing Clutch And CV Axle

I have a 2000 Accent that I changed the clutch and CV Axles on and now the transmission seams to be stuck. When i got done replacing the axles and installing the brakes I spun the wheels while installing the nut to aline the cotter pin. Once I got the car down, serviced the gear oil, bled the clutch master. Went to drive the car and it wouldn't move .

Accent LC (2000-05) :: Transmission Limp Mode / Stuck In 3rd Gear

So yesterday, this had happened for the third time in 3 years owning this car. Unhooking the battery for 20-30 minutes resets the computer and it is ready to go for a while with no issues. This has become annoying though. What is causing the car to enter "limp" mode and stay in third gear? One time it happened, I brought it to AutoZone and they did a scan and came up with the speed sensor. I haven't replaced it because it didn't happen for a while after that.

Accent LC (2000-05) :: Transmission Shifting Irregularly And Then Getting Stuck In 3rd Gear Occasionally

I have a 2001 Hyundai Accent with 120,000 miles on it. Up until a few months ago, its been a great little car. The transmission started acting funny by shifting irregularly and then getting stuck in 3rd gear occasionally. I took it to the dealer and they told me that the tranny is shot. The estimate for the repair is $2000.00.

I just can't see putting that much money into this car. It needs Struts, Shocks and a timing belt. Basically what it needs is what its worth if it were running well.

How hard it is to replace the transmission in this car? I have the 1.6L DOHC with the Automatic transmission.

Accent LC (2000-05) :: Power Windows Failure - Window Stuck In Down Position

In May the driver's side window mechanism (motor + "window regulator" are the primary parts) self destructed on my 2002 Hyundai Accent and left the window stuck in the down position. Since the car only has 35,000 miles on it, and since I live in a cold climate and didn't lower the windows much, I concluded it was a manufacturing failure.

So rather than spend about $700 to have the mechanism redone, I elected for 1/10 as much money to have a body shop remove the mechanism and wedge up the window in the up position permanently with blocks and screws. Since I was told by a couple of mechanics that this type of failure occurs in other vehicles, I was still sticking by Hyundai and planning to buy another one 3-5 years from now.

But I have been forced to change my plans. Today (in September) the passenger side window mechanism self destructed and, once again, left the window stuck in the down position! Naturally, I am going to have the same solution applied to the passenger side window now. As a result of this (and an unbelievable brake problem that I don't have time to get into) I have been forced to change my mind and can no longer support Hyundai.
