I have a 2014 Avalon Hybrid XLE Touring. Only rarely can I get the Easy Exit setting to work on the driver's seat. I set it and save it on the display screen when the car is running and is in PARK but it will not work.
View 6 Replies'13 model. I checked the vehicle customization to have the setting on but I noticed that the driver seat has stop moving assisting easy exit feature. The steering wheel is tilting however. Should I check with the dealer?
View 9 RepliesI just purchased a 2014 Avalon XLE Touring. One thing that seems to be a slight problem is the A/C setting. To get the car to cool down I have to turn the setting down to about 66 to make it comfortable and I know it is not 66 degrees in the car. Is there some way to calibrate the temp reading?

View 2 RepliesWhen driving on a freeway, the navigation system splits the screen to show a list of upcoming freeway exits. For some reason, the list does not show major interstate highway exits, e.g I95, I495. So, for example, if the exit for I95 is exit 5, the list goes from exit 4 right to exit 6 without listing exit 5.
I have read every page of the owners manual several time looking for a setting that may correct this, and have searched Toyota Nation archives looking for a solution, but I can't find anything.

I turned off the "easy entry/exit function" and when I turn off the car the steering wheel still automatically moves into the most upward position. It's only suppose to do this with the function on.
Is something broken? Should I get this fixed?
I can set my seat to recognize what key is unlocking the door to set the drivers seat to registered position (1, 2 or 3). Now when I customize settings in the Nav area so that the driver's seat slides back partially or fully when shutting down car, it no longer recognizes the keys. When I cancel the slide back option in the Nav, it quickly recognizes the keys again. I like both options and do wish that there is a way to remedy this. Is this normal?

View 10 RepliesRX450h Climate Control ... This is annoying and all my riders complain about the A/C Auto mode on this car. Here is the issue in Auto Mode with the inside temp set at 72 degrees, and the outside temp is cold anywhere from 55 to 65 degrees the A/C always blows cold air into the car. I can never get heat to flow into the car. The manual says that auto controls the a/c flow, fan speed, and vents like auto in almost every car. What is wrong here? The A/C is always on blowing cold air regardless of the temperature set inside the car. To me it seems that the temperature setting for both passenger and driver do not work.
View 12 RepliesI have noticed new drivers seat squeak. It only happens with weight transfer side to side at lower speeds ( hard right and hard left below 30 mph, or entering a driveway). I have looked at several posts and it seems like people have had luck with simply tightening the bolts for the seat.
Well I did that and it still making the noise. I have isolated the noise to the lower part of the seat right behind the molding. Behind the molding and behind the seat control switches there is a white box for the switches. It seems like the noise is coming from there. I noticed that if I pop off the control switches and I loosen the screws for the control switches the noise gets a touch better.
I took it to the dealership and they told me they tried to add some oil between the leather and the molding but it did nothing since the source seems to be behind the molding.

I am pretty exited about the new car. I just have questions about the hybrid battery.
I got the car on Saturday and we drove about 40 miles to get home. The car had 12 miles so it's pretty low. The battery was low when we got the car so the engine charged it up a bit. By the time we got home, the hybrid battery never got to fully charge.
Hence my first questions.
What are the perfect conditions to fully charge the battery?
How much time would it take to fully charge it?
Then, my next question.
I was pretty sure that when we parked the car on Saturday night and Sunday, the battery charge level was pretty high. At least half way.
However, when i got to use the car in the morning, the battery level was at 2 bars to my surprise.
Is the battery supposed to deplete like that?
I have a 2014 Avalon Hybrid XLE Touring. The 2 console power outlets stopped working. If it may be a blown fuse how do I get the cover off the fuse box under the dash, just pry it off? I hate to break it.
View 14 RepliesJust purchased a 2016 Avalon Touring. I am very happy with the car except for the nav screen. It seems that only split screen display is possible; either 2 or 3 panels. Is it possible to have full screen display for the nav system. The 800 number for Toyota said no.
View 2 RepliesI have an '07 Avalon Limited with the heated/ventilated front seats. The drivers seat just does not seem to cool properly, and what the problem might be. Occasionally when I put my hand on the seat I can feel a tiny amount of air blowing through the perforations, but most of the time it's not nearly enough to cool through a pair of jeans, and I can't even tell that it's on.

View 2 RepliesI just bought a 2005 Touareg. When I have the auto seat adjustment for entry/exit feature turned on and I turn off the ignition in my Touareg, the seat moves WAY back and WAY down. Is there a way to adjust the amount that the seat moves? I already know how to turn the feature off, but I want to leave it on -- I just want it to not move back so much.

Later in the day we noticed that the front window switch for the passenger window on the drivers side, does not work. The one on the passenger door works fine so it's not the motor. How difficult are these to replace? BTW, the window lock switch is NOT on.
View 13 RepliesExperienced the problem of a flashing defrost button and the entire HVAC system "frozen"? All the other buttons become useless while the defrost button is flashing on and off. If I then hold either the a/c button or the auto button, the system starts up at 75 degrees with the air running. I can then adjust to where I want it to be.

-Does the Gen 4 have the same kind of under-trunk storage area in the hatch/cargo area? This is important for me on the Gen 2 because it allows me to carry equipment while having an empty hatch space for passengers luggage. Does it depend on if you have a spare tire or not?
-Real-world MPG in extended city driving with A/C on?
-Where are the 12v outlets? And extend one into the hatch area?
-Is there a notable difference in comfort for touring vs non touring models?
-Does the driver's seat with lumbar support make a significant difference in comfort?
In the 2011 GS 350, where is the setting to make the seat go back for easy exit? The steering wheel goes up automatically which I guess is set by the dealer but I can't find in the manual how to get the seat to go back when car is turned off. I have the seat positions set but need the seat to go back too. I know this is a feature in some Lexus, is it available in 2011 GS350?
