2013 Avalon XLE - Rear Speaker Removal For Upgradation
Apr 26, 2015
I am trying to get to upgrade to 6x9 speakers in the rear, but I can't seem to remove the back cover. It seems like I will need to remove the rear seats.
My car is a 2013 Avalon XLE.

I've had an annoying rattle with the rear window sunshade. Toyota has attempted to fix it three times and it is still there. I drive with the sunshade down.

I have a 2008 Camry SE with JBL. I was wondering how do you remove the front upper speakers that are in the dash. I looked around but everyone show the front door removal not the upper speakers.

I have a 2013 Avalon hybrid that is almost 1 yr old.
I have recently notice a single "pop" noise that seems to be coming from the rear when I turn right with a sharp turn.
I have looked in the trunk and under the vehicle but I cannot find where it is coming from.

I am getting ready to drop the transmission pan on my 2006 Avalon XL, clean the pan and magnets, replace the transmission filter and gasket, and refil with WS fluid. How to remove the three or so bolts on the transmission pan that are blocked by the subframe connector (or whatever is blocking the bolts)? I plan on buying a 10mm ratcheting box end wrench in order to perform the job. Is there anything else that I need to be aware of when doing this?

We all know the front door speakers on these are horrible. I am changing them out all the time under warranty for being blown. In doing so I decided it was time for a video on how to remove the door panel without damage to get at the speakers and swap in aftermarket etc.

My beloved 07 Avalon is in the process of getting totaled because someone (NOT ME) didn't bother to see if there was any oncoming traffic before turning. But I digress.
I'm 99% I'll be replacing it with another 07 Limited, and I have to finish cleaning it out of all my belongings tomorrow. In short, I'm taking everything out of it I can, including my satellite receiver. Looking at the procedures for installing the 06 and 09 (which I could find easily online) it looks like all I need to do is:
- remove the panel on the right inside of the trunk
- remove the receiver unit by unscrewing the 2 10 mm nuts
- unplug the receiver
Is there anything else I should grab while I'm in there? And, how hard is it to remove the panel in the trunk?

How to remove the door speaker grills on a 3rd Gen IS or a 4th Gen GS350 (without removing the door panels)? They appear to have the same 7" black plastic grill between IS and GS model.
I tried to pop them off with my fingers but it wouldn't budge...my finger nails bent halfway back though.

I picked up my GS350 this past saturday.
I took a 64 mile round trip drive yesterday with the audio between 16-22 volume and there's definite rattling coming from the right passenger side door.
This was through the Satellite Radio Feed. It wasn't all the songs but any songs with the extended drawn out bass you can here it rattle.
I'm about 115 miles in and will most likely take it in this week. There's nothing in the side door compartment...

When my car was brand new, in 2004, I had to take it in for its Tiptronic software to be updated. Apparently there was a Tech Service Bulletin on the 2004 V6 Passats where this faulty software caused the car to hesitate and stutter between 1st and 2nd. At the time, the problem was fixed right away at my dealership.
Now my car has 40,000 miles, and has been flawless. I took it in for the 40,000 mile service, and my car came back from being serviced with several problems mostly minor--the AM radio is suddenly static-y, the tires were all underinflated by 18 psi's. But a more serious problem is that the hesitation and stutter that I detected when the car was new 2 years ago is back! I can't believe I brought a perfectly working car in for 40,000 mile checkup, and now have these issues.

Taking this part out of their truck, my speaker is cracking bad at low volume, thinking maybe I can play with the wires some.
Just wondering if there is any clips on this part, before I knock off a six pack and go caveman on it.

I used the above referenced harness on my 04 Lexus GX to install a Pioneer Avic 7000NEX. The radio sounds great and most everything works as it should. However, I am getting no sound from the rear speakers. I connected the harness as instructed (quadruple checked the connections).

The rear speaker volume in my 2010 RX 350 is very low. They produce sound but can only be heard when I put the balance almost completely in the rear. I prefer not to pay hundreds to the dealer and then possibly be told that I need to go to an audio specialist.

So my right rear stock speaker in my 09 corolla has started to cut out. some days it works fine, others it's a mess. I've never cranked them so it shouldn't be damaged, in fact it sounds a lot like when a wire is a bit loose. How to fix it?

I have a 2012 Prius V and the rear speaker(s) hardly put out any sound. When I balance the system to get more output in the rear, I get hardly any sound in the frount. Is there an individual speaker adjustment? Is this normal or do I have defective speaker(s)?

I just bought a used 2013 accent gls with 22k miles.
While the sound from the front is sort of OK, the sound from both of the rear door speakers is very low and muffled.
I have to set the fader control almost all the way to the back to hear them, and then the sound is very weak all around with no treble.
There is also almost no bass whatsoever from any of the speakers. I know what to expect from a lower end factory system and have heard other hyundais that sound pretty good. I have tried setting the bass control all the way up (and down) and tried changing the "P-bass" settings but nothing works.
Is this normal for this car? I have not listened to any other accent stereos. I really like everything else about this car besides the stereo so far.
